| Race 1 | Happy St Patricks Day Sprint - C3 - 375 | ATOONGA AIR (1) and FLIBERTY JIBERTY (6) were slow away. THRILLING LOGAN (4), PEACOCK PRINCESS (5), FLIBERTY JIBERTY and CAESAR CHANCE (7) came together for several strides soon after the start with JINJA FANTASY (8) then shifting in making contact with CAESAR CHANCE. As a result THRILLING LOGAN lost ground shifting in making contact with the hindquarters of MR. MUMBLES (3). FLIBERTY JIBERTY and CAESAR CHANCE then continued to make contact for a distance racing toward the first turn with these runners losing ground then shifting in making contact with THRILLING LOGAN who was tightened and checked losing ground. CAESAR CHANCE went off stride entering the first turn losing considerable ground finishing some distance from the field. PEACOCK PRINCESS and JINJA FANTASY made brief contact rounding the first turn. Rounding the final bend PEACOCK PRINCESS shifted out making contact with the hindquarters of JINJA FANTASY. A post race veterinary examination of CAESAR CHANCE revealed an injury to the right hock with a 42 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 2 | Couplands Dog Biscuits Stakes - C1 - 457 | APRIL'S MY MUM (1), TULIP MUNCHER (6) and KENNEL BOY (8) were all slow away. TULIP MUNCHER shifted in soon after the start making contact with the hindquarters of DYLANS A VILLAN (5) for a distance before shifting out across the heels of OPAWA JAY (7). OPAWA JAY shifted in making contact with DYLANS A VILLAN for a distance racing toward the first turn with DYLANS A VILLAN losing ground. DYLANS A VILLAN was held up rounding the bend before shifting out making contact with KENNEL BOY with these runners both unbalanced for several strides losing ground. |
| Race 3 | The Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C4 - 375 | UMAGA RAMA (7) was slow away and was then further inconvenienced making contact with the hindquarters of PREMIER OSTI (9) who shifted in. ROCKY BOY (4) angled out soon after the start making contact with LAGOON MAC (5) and IRISH BLUE (6) who were both inconvenienced losing ground. Entering the first turn AYRA STARK (3) shifted in tightening SOMETIME SOON (2) in onto PEAKNUCKLE (1) with these runners losing ground and PEAKNUCKLE going back onto LAGOON MAC who had to steady. AYRA STARK was referred to the veterinarian following this event for a laceration to the left hind with a 10 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 4 | Happy Birthday Peter Fenemor Stakes - C2 - 457 | BORIS GUMP (5) was slow away. ACAMAS (2) and SWIFTLY CHLOE (3) came together leaving the boxes with SWIFTLY CHLOE then shifting out making contact with THRILLING CARTER (4). Soon after the start FORTIS FLIER (10) shifted in inconveniencing THRILLING CARTER. THRILLING CARTER shifted out off heels entering the first turn then continued to race wide for the remainder of the event. BORIS GUMP was tightened and checked rounding the first turn losing ground. |
| Race 5 | Greyhounds North Distance - C1/2d - 650 | VERNON BALE (7) was slow away. WHO DAT BOY (5) and BLACK DUDE (8) came together entering the first bend. Rounding the first turn CAN'T CATCH TIM (6) angled in into the line of TEEMARIA (4) who got on this runners heels with CAN'T CATCH TIM and TEEMARIA both becoming badly unbalanced for a distance shifting out hampering JAZZBOY JACK (2) with these runners losing considerable ground. Also inconvenienced as a result were BIG RED CHEV (3), WHO DAT BOY and VERNON BALE. There was no photo finish available for this event. |
| Race 6 | Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C5 - 375 | MR. JULES (8) was slow away. MICKY TEE (6) and DR. ROBBIE (7) came together leaving the boxes. MACJAM (5) and OPTIC SHIMMER (4) came together soon after the start and again entering the first turn with these runners then shifting in onto COUNTRY GUN (3) who was taken in onto STYLISH FANCY (1) with MACJAM becoming unbalanced losing considerable ground. Also inconvenienced as a result were DR. ROBBIE and MICKY TEE. UP HIGH (2) and COUNTRY GUN (3) made brief contact rounding the final bend. DR. ROBBIE raced wide rounding the bend and into the final straight. |
| Race 7 | Mike Stent Decorators Ltd NZ Derby Heat 1 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 1 | ZIPPING JOCK (4) began awkwardly then jumped in the air soon after the start away from the heels of the runners to its outside who had shifted in with ZIPPING JOCK losing considerable ground as a result. KNOW SCHOLAR (6) angled in leaving the boxes taking OLLIE BOY (5) in onto OPAWA KURU (3) who was taken in onto CRYING IN VEGAS (2) with these runners losing ground. OLLIE BOY and OPAWA KURU came together on several occasion racing toward the first turn with OPAWA KURU then becoming awkwardly placed near the running rail entering the first turn losing ground. KAVA BLU (7) and SOLARIAN (8) came together entering the first turn. OLLIE BOY and KNOW SCHOLAR made brief contact entering the final straight. OPAWA KURU was referred to the veterinarian following this event with no abnormality detected. |
| Race 8 | Mike Stent Decorators Ltd NZ Derby Heat 2 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 2 | ARCTIC ACTION (3) and CAWBOURNE CLAY (6) were slow away. LUCKY COLLECT (9) shifted in soon after the start coming together with NANGAR STAR (5). SOUTHERN LIGHTS (1) shifted out off heels entering the first bend making contact with SCODELARIO (8) with these runners losing ground. As a result CAWBOURNE CLAY improved onto the heels of SCODELARIO rounding the bend with these runners briefly unbalanced and CAWBOURNE CLAY shifting out as a result. CAWBOURNE CLAY then raced wide for the remainder of the event. |
| Race 9 | Mike Stent Decorators Ltd NZ Derby Heat 3 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 3 | CAWBOURNE GIL (7), CRIKEY (6), HARKONEN BALE (5) and KNOW HERO (4) came together soon after the start with these runners all briefly unbalanced with KNOW HERO, HARKONEN BALE and CRIKEY losing ground. SPEED LORDE (1) and JINJA ROMAN (2) made brief contact racing down the back straight. |

CAWBOURNE COOKS (3) shifted out leaving the boxes taking KNOW DECISION (4) out into the line of JINJA SQUEAK who made contact with this runners hindquarters for several strides. As a result JINJA SQUEAK and ACE BALE came together for a stride with these runners losing ground. Racing into the first turn ACE BALE angled in onto JINJA SQUEAK who was tightened losing ground. Rounding the first turn CAWBOURNE COOKS was tightened and checked losing ground going back inconveniencing KNOW DECISION. |
| Race 11 | Mike Stent Decorators Ltd NZ Derby Heat 5 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 5 | OLLIESAURUS (6) was slow away. YAHBINI BALE (3), OPAWA KNOCKA (4) and FIREMANS GALAXY (5) came together soon after the start with these runners then further inconvenienced when STINGER (7) angled in making contact with these runners. OPAWA KNOCKA shifted in racing into to the first turn tightening OLLIESAURUS in onto the running rail with these runners coming together losing considerable ground. Rounding the bend YAHBINI BALE shifted out across the heels of OUR SAMBO (8) becoming unbalanced with STINGER (7) then getting on the heels of YAHBINI BALE with these runners then both becoming unbalanced shifting out losing ground. FEKITOA (1) and ABSINTHE MINDED (2) came together on several occasions rounding the final bend with both runners briefly unbalanced. FIREMANS GALAXY raced wide throughout. YAHBINI BALE went off stride entering the final straight losing ground quickly finishing the race some distance from the field with a post race veterinary examination revealing an injury to the right hock with a 42 day stand down imposed. OLLIESAURUS was referred to the veterinarian following this event with no abnormality detected. |
| Race 12 | Palamountains Nutrition Stakes - C4/5 - 457 | CAWBOURNE KRISTY (4) was slow away. Leaving the boxes PROPHECY (7) shifted in making contact with SPANISH FANCY (6) who shifted in onto GOOD RETURN (5). CAWBOURNE KRISTY and GOOD RETURN then shifted in across the heels of RAMPION (2) and TEEGAMBO (3). SPANISH FANCY was tightened making contact with PROPHECY and TEEGAMBO racing down the back straight, contributing was inward movement from FANTASTIC SID (8) who angled in in front of these runners. TEEGAMBO then shifted in onto GOOD RETURN who was inconvenienced losing ground. FANTASTIC SID continued to angle in racing down the back straight coming together with RAMPION with these runners jostling for a distance shifting in tightening CAWBOURNE KRISTY entering the first turn with RAMPION then losing ground and shifting out. Inconvenienced losing ground as a result was SPANISH FANCY. |
