Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C2 - 295	WILL EXCITE (5) was slow in the early stages. A short distance after the start ANOTHER SPIN (3) shifted inwards and checked ZORBA THE GREEK (2). Racing into the bend BROOKE DAVIS (4) moved inwards and crowded ANOTHER SPIN who lost ground and shifted outwards causing LIL DANNY RASCAL (7) and WILL EXCITE to be taken wider on the track. A post race Veterinary examination of LIL DANNY RASCAL showed some shoulder soreness with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Janice Cleeve Sprint - C3 - 295	JINJA LOCH (3) and RAPAKI KATH (4) were checked in the early stages when WALLY BAXTER (5) and SWIMMING GOAT (6) shifted inwards. In consequence to this JINJA LOCH lost ground and eventually tailed off. A post race Veterinary examination showed soreness in the hip support area with a 21 day stand down recommended. On the bend OPAWA LEAN MEAT (1) improved up onto the hind legs of KINGMAN (2) and had to ease with this dog shifting outwards inconveniencing RAPAKI KATH who was taken wide.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH RILEY (5) shifted inwards in the early stages and checked BELLWAVE (2) which lost ground. HAYLEY JAMES (3) was hampered between CABARITA (6) and BELLWAVE soon after the start. HOMEBUSH RILEY shifted inwards and crowded GO TOMMO (1) down towards the rail near the bend with GO TOMMO losing ground. On the bend CABARITA was crowded between BELLWAVE and ANOTHER FAN (7) who both shifted ground resulting in the following HAYLEY JAMES and TEPIRITA HENDRIX (4) both being checked. GO TOMMO was checked on the final stages of the bend between HAYLEY JAMES and EARN ME SOME (8) with GO TOMMO then shifting outwards and racing wide. BELLWAVE was sent to be examined by the Vet after being heavily contacted at the lure but no abnormalities were apparent.
Race 4	Barron's Supplies Stakes - C2 - 520	OPAWA TRACY (7) was crowded and checked in the early stages between KNOW STYLE (8) and PUNCH ON JAIME (6). KNOW NEGLECT (3) and OPAWA ROCKY (4) jostled for a considerable distance in the opening straight resulting in both HOMEBUSH BUCK (1) and OPAWA GRUNTER (2) receiving minor bumps. OPAWA TRACY shifted wide on the first bend.
Race 5	David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C3 - 295	KNOW SALUTE (8) was slow to begin. TOKEN ACE (5) shifted in and checked HOMEBUSH GRU (4) in the early stages. BADUZZI (2) was crowded between OPAWA CRUSADE (3) and SKETCHY STEVE (1) soon after. Racing into the bend KNOW SALUTE shifted inwards and dictated HOMEBUSH GRU inwards onto BADUZZI who made contact with the rail and was checked. A post race Veterinary examination showed no injury. STRUGGLE IS REAL (6) ran wide leaving the bend. Following this event TOKEN ACE was found to have a laceration over a flexor tendon that required sutures with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Garden City Chem-Dry Sprint - C4 - 295	DINERO ACTION (3) was slow to begin. MARK BE GOOD (7) was bumped in the early stages between COLLECTING MONEY (6) and OM NOM NOM (8) and in consequence got back. COLLECTING MONEY was then shifted inwards and made contact with WEARS THE GOLD (5) who was shifting outwards causing that dog's hind quarters to be turned. HOMEBUSH PAIGE (2) and GRIFINATOR (4) came together in the opening stages. OM NOM NOM shifted inwards on the bend and was dragged down by WEARS THE GOLD. As a result WEARS THE GOLD, DINERO ACTION, and MARK BE GOOD were all checked COLLECTING MONEY attempted to shift outwards leaving the bend causing OM NOM NOM, WEARS THE GOLD, and MARK BE GOOD to all be further checked. HOMEBUSH PAIGE ran outwards marginally in the early stages of the final straight and took ARBRE CHENE (9) wider. DINERO ACTION was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a laceration to a dew claw requiring sutures with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 7	Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C3 - 295	ULTRA ACTION (3) moved inwards at the start and caused OPAWA COLIN (1) and SPEEDY DISPATCH (2) to be checked. STAND UP GIRL (4) received a slight bump form ULTRA ACTION on the bend and lost ground. RAND (7) shifted inwards leaving the bend and made contact with TERRA MONDO (5). Soon after turning for home, the leader GOOD GENES (9) had its back legs contacted by TERRA MONDO causing it to blunder for several strides then gallop awkwardly for some distance. A post race Veterinary examination showed no abnormalities.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Distance Feature - C2d - 645	KOOW WORTH (5) and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (6) were crowded in the early stages between KINLOCH POWER (4) and TRUST ISSUES (7) who both shifted ground. Soon after this KNOW WORTH shifted outwards and made contact with GOLDSTAR COCO (8) who lost some ground.
Race 9	Mac Developments Dash - C5 - 295	RICK'S TREASURE (3) shifted inwards at the start and caused considerable tightening to MUST DESIRE (2) and GUMP'S THE NAME (1). SMASH RUMOUR (5) was crowded in the early stages between PUMA PANTS (4) and PAPERBOND (6). PAPERBOND shifted inwards near the bend resulting in SMASH RUMOUR, PUMA PANTS, MUST DESIRE and GUMP'S THE NAME all being hampered and losing ground. MOJO BURST (8) shifted inwards leaving the bend and made contact with TINA (7) for some distance.
Race 10	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4/5 - 520	OPAWA STRETCH (4) was a late scratching after being found to be in season when exiting the kennels. BENJAMIN BLACK (7) was slow to begin. OPAWA VAL (6) shifted inwards racing into the bend causing KNOW JINX (5), KNOW MAYHEM (3) and EBERT BALE (2) to all be placed in very tight quarters with these dogs losing ground. The trailing BENJAMIN BLACK was also inconvenienced and had to switch ground inwards.
Race 11	Hampden Tavern Sprint - C5 - 295	At the request of the TAB this race was delayed one minute. GRAND APACHE (8) shifted inwards racing into the bend resulting in significant interference to OHOKA BILLY (7), CARNEGIE HALL (6), HOMEBUSH ARIEL (5), OPAWA OPAL (3), KERAMUS (4) and WHEELCHAIR NORM (2). OPAWA OPAL and OHOKA BILLY were sent to be examined by the Vet however no apparent abnormalities were detected.
Race 12	Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Dash - C4 - 295	WUNZEE (6) was immediately crowded on jumping by AIDEN BAXTER (7) who shifted inwards. GOLDSTAR BOMBER (2) and JINJA PISTOL (1) came together in the early stages and became unbalanced for a short distance. ROADWORKS (3) and GOLDSTAR BOMBER raced in restricted room on the bend when positioned to the inside of DYNA QUIRK (4) who moved down the track. As a result the trailing WUNZEE was hampered. CAPTAIN SHAZZ (8) shifted inwards on the bend causing AIDEN BAXTER, GREET THE JUDGE (5), and ROADWORKS to all race in restricted room and then be checked.
