| Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C1 - C1 - 305 | VIVA LA VIXEN (2) ran outwards shortly after the start colliding with LIN BAXTER (5). DAVEY BOY SCOTT (6) was inclined to shift up the track through the early stages crowding ANOTHER KEY (7) onto WINFIELD AUTUMN (8). CAWBOURNE PEEJAY (4) and LIN BAXTER raced in restricted room approaching the bend when inside ANOTHER KEY which was forced inwards by VIVA LA VIXEN. VIVA LA VIXEN raced in restricted room rounding the bend and when checking outwards across CAWBOURNE KIWI (1), contacted that runners heel becoming unbalanced momentarily. CAWBOURNE KIWI and DAVEY BOY SCOTT came together and bumped entering the home straight. CAWBOURNE PEEJAY was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed pain over the left shoulder, with a 14-day stand down imposed. |
| Race 2 | Laser Plumbing C1 - C1 - 305 | TAKE THE SHORTS (8) was last to jump. HOMEBUSH MESSI (5) was crowded leaving the boxes between ODD FELLOW (4) and SMART DANDY (6) which ran inwards, with HOMEBUSH MESSI being further hampered when awkwardly near the heels of SMART DANDY. COSMOHOLIC (1) ran outwards entering the bend forcing HOMEBUSH MESSI onto the hindquarters of CHIEF BAXTER (7) and TAKE THE SHORTS, both of which were dragged down for several strides losing ground. CHIEF BAXTER was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed a spike wound in the left-hind paw, with a 5-day stand down imposed. |
| Race 3 | Wanganui Chronicle C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 | OPAWA JAY (6) was slow to jump. WORKING JEWEL (5) was crowded shortly after the start when CHINESE STAR (7) shifted inwards. OPAWA LEIGH (4) was crowded for some distance rounding the bend when racing to the inside of CHINESE STAR, with OPAWA LEIGH checking outwards across that runners heels entering the home straight. |
| Race 4 | Adept Accountants Wanganui C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 | BELFAST SMARTY (8) was last to jump. PIXIE DUST (4) and TAKEAWAY (1) were crowded approaching the bend when crossed by OPEHU FLYER (9/2). PIXIE DUST was then further hampered when dragged down by the trailing TAKEAWAY, with WITCH MISTY (3) being inconvenienced. OPEHU FLYER (9) ran inwards over the concluding stages hampering the progress of ALLEGRO STYLE (5) and WITCH MISTY. |
| Race 5 | First Security C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | BRALYN CHARLIE (1) was declared a late scratching at 1:30pm when found to be suffering from the effects of diarrhea. TOP PROSECUTOR (3) was inclined to shift outwards in the early stages inconveniencing HOMEBUSH NAKI (4) and ALAMEIN BLONDE (6). KIRKHAM HARVEY (7) checked outwards across the heels of AUNTY TRACE (8) rounding the first bend, losing momentum. |
| Race 6 | The Rock 95.2FM C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 | SPOT ON MAGGIE (3) ran outwards in the early stages forcing BANSHEE BOY (6) and RUA RAMA (7) wider on the track, with RUA RAMA contacting the hindquarters of GOODTIME ALANNAH (10/8). HOMEBUSH FLYTE (5) crossed to the rail entering the bend checking CAPTAIN'S CHOICE (1) which lost ground. GOODTIME ALANNAH and BANSHEE BOY were checked shortly after when improving up onto the heels of CAPTAIN'S CHOICE, with both runners losing several lengths and effectively their chance in the event. GOODTIME ALANNAH was examined by the veterinarian following the event and cleared of injury. CAPTAIN'S CHOICE underwent a veterinary examination following the event which revealed soreness in the right wrist, with a 21-day stand down imposed. Co-Trainer D Poutama advised Stewards that the dog would now be retired from racing. |
| Race 7 | J P Print, Petone C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | OPAWA EXTREME (7) was slow to jump. KENNEL BOY (3) and HAWKESBURY FEVER (4) collided leaving the boxes with both runners losing ground. CROWD GOES WILD (5) was inclined to run outwards in the early stages contacting the hindquarters of DOUBLE ENTENDRE (8) which was unbalanced briefly. |
| Race 8 | Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305 | CAWBOURNE BUTTSY (2) was slow to jump. SPIRIT RUN (7) and CAWBOURNE BUTTSY bumped rounding the bend. |
| Race 9 | Keenan Concrete C2/3 Feature - C2/3 - 520 | CANDID ANGEL (10/3) ran inwards from the boxes crowding OPAWA JACKIE (2) which clipped that runners heel shortly after, losing ground. SHERLOCK IZMIR (8) shifted inwards entering the first bend crowding KISSING GWYNETH (7). KISSING GWYNETH lost contact with the field through the middle stages and appeared indifferent in its action thereafter. KISSING GWYNETH was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed no obvious abnormalities. |
| Race 10 | AON CPF C5 - C5 - 305 | GRAND ALLEGRO (4) and NERO (1) collided soon after the start. FUNKY FREDDY (9/6) ran inwards through the early stages forcing PINK SHELLAC (5) into the line of GRAND ALLEGRO and NERO, all of which jostled for some distance, with NERO becoming unbalanced. |
| Race 11 | Liquorland Wanganui C3 - C3 - 305 | PREMIER PRINCE (3) and TELL THE BOYS (4) collided on jumping, with PREMIER PRINCE checking across that runners heels soon after. ALL IN BERLIN (6) was crowded entering the bend between TELL THE BOYS and NO TIME YET (7), checking outwards and making heavy contact with CAWBOURNE NEVADA (8) which fell to the track. Also hampered in this incident was the trailing PREMIER PRINCE which was unable to avoid the fallen runner. CAWBOURNE NEVADA was examined the veterinarian following the event which revealed no obvious abnormalities. |

VITO BAXTER (6) ran inwards through the early stages jostling with LAGOON MAC (4) which in turn bumped with RAPPER DASH (3). LAGOON MAC and RAPPER DASH then raced in restricted room entering the bend when inside VITO BAXTER. |
