| Race 2 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C1 - 390 | Head-on coverage of this race was unavailable from Trackside due to equipment failure. FRECKLE FLYER (1) and DEVILSKIN (7) were slow to begin. Into the turn an improving SOUTHERN AFFAIR (8) was clipped from behind by EUG THE SCROOGE (3) and lost ground checking DEVILSKIN, ANOTHER VESPA (4) and HIS NIBS (6). Into the straight HIS NIBS shifted ground inwards checking EUG THE SCROOGE with the trailing DEVILSKIN also held up. SOUTHERN AFFAIR was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury. |

In the run to the turn DYNA QUIRK (8) ran inwards dictating TEPIRITA HENDRIX (7) into the path of OPAWA COLIN (6) with both these dogs losing momentum. Into the turn ROYAL ACTION (1) ran outwards checking EBONY FANCY and tightening the trailing THRILLING ECHO. On the turn OPAWA COLIN ran wide. |
