Track: Good The Track was presented in very good racing condition being well watered and groomed throughout the meeting. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Handler Kim Fraser was given a warning by the Stewards after he was observed to wave his collar and lead in the air when in behind the boxes as when the lure was in motion before the lids lifted in race 12.

Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1 - C1 - 305 Racing away from the start ZIGGY BAXTER and SASHA MCBELL bumped together. racing on to the bend SHANE MCBELL ran on to the hind of GOODTIME ALLANAH losing momentum and a couple of lengths on their outer HOMEBUSH TIARE was checked as SASHA MCBELL improved past angling in across the face of this runner.
Race 2 LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305 Racing in to the first bend DEATHSTAR ran in to the side of OLLIE BAXTER pushing this runner sideways for a few strides. OLLIE BAXTER lost a couple of lengths at this point then made ground in to 3rd placing at the line.
Race 3 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305 MAGIC DANDY box 3 began awkwardly being last away in the early running. Racing in to the first bend MAGIC DANDY had improved along the inner was hampered for a stride or so as as MARLOW MARINA crossed to the rail ,MAGIC DANDY lost several lengths and appeared to be uncomfortable for a few strides. MAGIC DANDY made ground in the home turn finishing in to 4th placing at the line. MAGIC DANDY was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have pain over both triceps with a 14 day stand down recommended. The Stewards reviewed the run in to the bend where MAGIC DANDY lost his position, after hearing submissions from Trainer B Hunt no further action was taken.
Race 4 ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305 JOEY BAXTER missed the jump soon after he angled outwards sharply off the heels of LACHIE JEWEL in to the shoulder of HOMEBUSH OLIVE forcing this runner out on to CAWBOURNE MARK. LACHIE JEWEL then angled in across the face of DAVEY BOY SCOTT forcing this runner in on to KYLA ROSE, SMART DANDY and CHERIES BOY, causing these runners to be badly hampered and jostled for some strides, apart from DAVEY BOY SCOTT the other runners all lost ground. On the home turn when racing well back HOMEBUSH OLIVE attempting to make ground along the rail came together with KYLA ROSE as this runner angled inwards ,both dogs were checked losing momentum finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 5 FIRST SECURITY C5 - C5 - 305 Soon after the start GRAND ALLEGRO, PINK SHELLAC and FREEDOM FLYER came together, a couple of strides on GRAND ALLEGRO angled in sharply across the face of PINK SHELLAC checking this runner back where she went across bumping in to FREEDOM FLYER. racing in to the first bend WHATU TRENDY improving angled across to the rail causing GRAND ALLEGRO to check off her heels. On the home turn AL'S GIRL and SEDGEBROOK BABE bumped for a stride as SEDGEBROOK BABE was running on strongly finishing in to 3rd placing at the line.
Race 6 THE ROCK 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 305 KINETIC ASSASSIN was last away by several lengths. Soon after the start PIXIE DUST ran in on to SHELLY MCBELL pushing this runner in across the face of NITRO MARY as OPAWA BLAIR was then pushed outwards as MISS MOWHAWK attempted to keep her ground. Racing in to the first bend SHELLY MCBELL was checked again as MISS MOWHAWK came outwards across the face of OPAWA BLAIR these three runners lost momentum and several lengths. Nearing the home turn KINECTIC ASSASSIN after racing wide angled down bumping in to OPAWA BLAIR. SHELLY MCBELL went back to the rear and was observed to be uncomfortable in her galloping action there after finishing several lengths in the rear at the line. SHELLY MCBELL was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have pain over the left shoulder a 10 day stand down was recommended.
Race 7 ST JOHNS CLUB PUNTERS C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 Racing in to the bend on the first occasion there was tightening and crowding as MAGIC WHITELOCK angled in on to CANDID ANGLE and INDEFINATE ORDER, with these runners all being checked back as PACIFIC SUNRISE raced past angling inwards.
Race 8 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 305 Soon after the start HOMEBUSH CHAOS heading for the lead angled across the face of SNOW BALL CHANCE who went in on to HOMEBUSH FLYTE, APOLLO BAXTER, DREAMZONE and BRILLIANT ASHLEE all these runners were tightened and jostled. racing in to the bend DREAMZONE angled in on to HOMEBUSH FLYTE forcing this runner in on to BRILLIANT ASHLEE with APOLLO BAXTER being tightened and checked back making contact with the rail at this point, on the outer of these runners ALAMEIN DUKE from box 8 improving around runners angling inwards on to SNOW BALL CHANCE with RUA RAMA being squeezed back out of the gap and stumbling for a stride SNOW BALL CHANCE came back off heels and up on to the hind of DREAMZONE dragging this runner down on her haunches, APOLLO BAXTER directly in behind SNOW BALL CHANCE was unable to avoid running on to his back dragging him down on his haunches with APOLLO BAXTER losing his footing going down on his haunches also. These three runners all recovered their footing but had lost all chance finishing margins in the rear at the line. DREAMZONE, APOLLO BAXTER and SNOW BALL CHANCE were all referred to the vet for assessment. DREAMZONE and APOLLO BAXTER was cleared of abnormalities no stand downs. SNOW BALL CHANCE was found to have suffered skied toes on the left hind a 5 day stand down was recommended.
Race 9 KEENAN CONCRETE C3/4 - C3/4 - 520 Racing to the bend on the first occasion MAKING TIME was tightened for a couple of strides. Racing around the first bend OPAWA JACKIE cut in across the face of MAKING TIME checking this runner who appeared to go off stride losing ground back to the rear and was unable to improve there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line. MAKING TIME was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 10 AON CPF C4 - C4 - 305 In the run to the first bend VITO BAXTER attempting to angle across tightened ALL IN BERLIN in on to EFFECTIVE POWER and EXPOTENTIAL LILY for some strides, ONE BROKE GIRL then raced up on the outer of VITO BAXTER angling inwards resulting in EFFECTIVE POWER and EXPOTENTIAL LILY being checked back towards the rear, EXPOTENTIAL LILY and CAWBOURNE MIDGET were held up in behind runners racing on to the bend where EXPOTENTIAL LILY was able to made ground between runners to race up to a handy position in the running on the home turn where she finished in to 3rd placing at the line.
Race 11 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 The no 9 colour no was inadvertently left on the boxes at the start from the previous race, SPIRIT RUN was no 7 in this race and started from the correct box. PREMIER PRINCE box 5 went up with the lids. Racing in to the first bend SPIRIT RUN caught a heel of CAWBOURNE NEVADA hampering this runner for a stride or so.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C 2/3 - C2/3 - 305 MANGAMAHU JACK box 8 stood when the lids went up missing the start by several lengths. Racing in to the first bend OPAWA LACHLAN changed ground outwards sharply running in to and checking LADY ZEENA who lost momentum. OPAWA LACHLAN and MANGAMAHU JACK BOTH raced out wide there after covering a fair amount of extra ground there after finishing in the rear at the line. Racing across the top bend CHAIMBO and GRADER JACK were vying for the lead, CHAIMBO moved out bumping GRADER JACK who went off stride losing ground back to midfield and was bumped and jostled as he went back to midfield. GRADER JACK made ground nearing the home turn finishing in 4th placing at the line.
