| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295 | WINE TIME (2) was slow to begin. GRIFINATOR (4), JINJA BILLY (5), ANOTHER FAN (6) and PATCHWORK ALICE (7) collided in the early stages. WINE TIME and PATCHWORK ALICE came together racing into the bend with the trailing JINJA BILLY and ANOTHER FAN also being hampered. GREET THE JUDGE (1) checked off the heels of SCREW AND BOLT (3) rounding the bend. Leaving the bend JINJA BILLY became awkwardly placed on the heels of WINE TIME and shifted wider on the track forcing ANOTHER FAN over extra ground. PATCHWORK ALICE was examined by the Vet following the race and cleared of injury. When spoken to regarding the improved performance of ROADWORKS (8), kennel representative S Hurd reported that the greyhound had appreciated a downgrade in class combined with its preferred outside box draw. |
| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Mark Nicol Dash - C3 - 295 | CANDYBOY (4) was slow to begin. CABARITA (6) shifted inwards at the start checking OM NOM NOM (5), STRUGGLE IS REAL (3), OPAWA CRUSADE (2) and CAPTAIN SHAZZ (1). OPAWA CRUSADE and CANDYBOY bumped shortly after. CABARITA and STRUGGLE IS REAL jostled for some distance approaching the first bend with STRUGGLE IS REAL losing ground and checking the trailing OPAWA CRUSADE. CABARITA checked off the heels of CAPTAIN SHAZZ racing into the first bend with both greyhounds losing momentum. CABARITA again checked off the heels of CAPTAIN SHAZZ leaving the bend. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Dash - C4 - 295 | JINJA PISTOL (5) and TERRA MONDO (6) were slow to begin. ARBRE CHENE (3) checked off heels racing into the bend and became unbalanced forcing TERRA MONDO wide on the track. MISS FANNING (1) shifted ground outwards in the early stages of the run home after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of OHOKA BILLY (7). ARBRE CHENE was examined by the Vet following the race and cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C2 - 520 | CAWBOURNE KENNY (5) was slow to begin. ACE BALE (4) and OPAWA GRUNTER (9) bumped in the early stages. Approaching the first bend OPAWA PAUL (7) shifted inwards checking OPAWA GRUNTER and BOTANY RICHIE (1) which made heavy contact with the running rail resulting in BOTANY RICHIE losing ground and its chance. HOMEBUSH BUCK (8) and OPAWA ZENA (6) came together racing into the first bend. OPAWA PAUL and OPAWA ZENA collided rounding the final bend with OPAWA ZENA then shifting wider checking HOMEBUSH BUCK. OPAWA GRUNTER checked off the heels of OPAWA PAUL shortly after. BOTANY RICHIE was examined by the Vet following the race and cleared of injury. |
| Race 5 | I Pave Concrete Sprint - C4/5 - 295 | ZEBIDIAH (8) shifted outwards at the start checking OPAWA OPAL (7), AIDEN BAXTER (6) and PUMA PANTS (5). Racing into the first bend BELIEVE (1) checked off the heels of PUMA PANTS and shifted outwards checking ZEBIDIAH and AIDEN BAXTER which fell. PUMA PANTS and HOMEBUSH ZIPPY (2) came together early in the run home. BELIEVE and ZEBIDIAH were cleared of injury by the Vet following the race. AIDEN BAXTER was also examined by the Vet and found to have a skin laceration that required sutures. |
| Race 6 | Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C3 - 520 | OPAWA KEVIN (5) was slow to begin. LAGOON BELLE (2) and COUNTRY CROSSING (3) bumped in the early stages. Racing into the first bend DYNA QUIRK (7) shifted down the track tightening COUNTRY CROSSING, LAGOON BELLE and OPAWA KEVIN. OPAWA KEVIN and VERNON BALE (6) collided rounding the first bend. |
| Race 7 | Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C3 - 295 | This race was delayed by one minute at the request of the TAB. GOSSIP QUEEN (2) was very slow to begin. TELL THE BOYS (4) was checked by MR. MARINE (5) racing into the first bend with the trailing KNOW CONTEST (3), ZORBA THE GREEK (8) and TERRA ALERT (1) also being hampered. TELL THE BOYS and KNOW CONTEST came together rounding the bend. |
| Race 8 | Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C4/5 - 295 | CULVIE GODFATHER (2) and CHOKEHOLD (3) came together at the start. Approaching the first bend CULVIE GODFATHER made contact with the running rail and lost ground. Racing into the first bend ANOTHER LIZ (1) was tightened when racing to the inside of HOMEBUSH KELSO (4) and lost momentum. HOMEBUSH KELSO and PAPERBOND (7) collided shortly after. CHOKEHOLD checked off the heels of PAPERBOND rounding the bend. CULVIE GODFATHER was examined by the Vet following the race and cleared of injury. |
| Race 9 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4 - 520 | GOLDSTAR AVERY (4) and ZIPPING SONNY (6) were slow to begin before coming together in the early stages. KNOW MENTION (1) and SOLSTICE (9) collided racing into the back straight with SOLSTICE losing ground. ZIPPING SONNY was examined by the Vet following the race and found to be suffering from cramp however no stand down was recommended. |
