Track: Good The track was power harrowed on the 11-2-2016. The track was presented in a very good racing condition. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights

Judicial report: CRIKEY, TOP PROSECUTOR, FREDDY BEDROCK ( A Turnwald ) ALLEGRO DASHER ( J W Bell ) all completed a satisfactory trial.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1 - C1 - 305	MISS HOOK was a late scratching due to illness. GULLY RUNNER and FAIR TRADING both dwelt at the start GULLY RUNNER was last in the early running, after racing wide across the top bend covering extra ground he finished in to 5th placing at the line. racing in to the first bend CAWBOURNE HINT angled in on to HOMEBUSH LIMBO hampering this runner for several strides.
Race 2	LASER PLUMBING C0 FINAL - C0f - 520	Soon after the start GOLDSTAR LEXIE and BLACK ROADSTAR came together. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion COCOA BEAR checked off the heels of CANDY CRUSHER and was bumped going sideways when running in to BLACK ROADSTAR who bumped JAZZ HILL pushing this runner wide in to the first bend. JAZZ HILL after covering extra ground in to the bend never recovered finishing in last placing at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where soreness was detected in the left pectoral muscle area a 10 day stand down was recommended
Race 3	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	SMART DANDY ( fav ) box 1 didn't get away the best from the jump. Soon after the start SEDGEBROOK CHARM angled in on to HYDE BAXTER and HOMEBUSH DOBBY bumping this runner in on to BUSINESS REVIEW. nearing the first bend OPAWA JAY angled across the face of SEDGEBROOK CHARM as SMART DANDY angled out in to the body of the field, this resulted in SMART DANDY being bumped and jostled for some distance as he attempted to get out wider on the track. SMART DANDY ended up towards the rear racing across the top bend racing wide in to the home straight and finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 4	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 - C1 - 305	Racing from the boxes WINFIELD AUTUMN box 8 angled in sharply across the face of DALLAS BAXTER checking this runner back. GULLY CRUSHER and PEEJAY PRINGLES came together checking ASIA OSTEE back from between them .ASIA OSTEE then bumped in to KENNEL BOY ( fav ) who was then hampered for a few strides as GULLY CRUSHER angled in, KENNEL BOY lost a couple of lengths at this point. Once balanced up KENNEL BOY made ground running in to 2nd placing at the line. ASIA OSTEE was referred to the vet at the Trainers request some time after the race. ASIA OSTEE was found to have a injury to the near metacarpal a 28 day stand down was recommended.
Race 5	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520	THAT'S KING box 5 began very awkwardly be last in to the bend on the first occasion by approx. 10 lengths . THAT'S KING chased hard making ground there after still finishing in the rear at the line . CAWBOURNE COOKS ( fav ) 1st NZ start wasn't best away, improved in to 2nd in the running in to the bend on the first occasion but was unable to run down the leader AUTUMN LIGHTS ,CAWBOURNE COOKS deadheated for 2nd placing along with MILLY RIVERS at the line.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	Racing away from the start PEDRO'S CARAT ran in across the face of HOMEBUSH MESSI in on to the side of CAWBOURNE KITT. As HOMEBUSH MESSI was checked he went in bumping SECOND TIME ( fav ) in on to SPOT ON MAGGIE and DAVEY BOY SCOTT. Racing in to the first bend DAVEY BOY SCOTT angled out off heels running in to CAWBOURNE KITT and in to the hind of PEDRO'S CARAT who went sideways for a stride or so. DAVEY BOY SCOTT ran out widest on to top of the bend covering a fair amount of extra ground there after. JOHNNY ANGEL was referred to the vet after race nine at the Trainers request and was found to have pain in the left triceps area a 21 day stand down was recommended.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	PIXIE DUST box 2 went up with the lids being last away by 7 or so lengths. Racing in to the first bend PREMIER PRINCE ran on to the hind of WORKING JEWEL, PREMIER PRINCE stumbled slightly for a stride running out wide as he balanced up again. Racing in to the home straight PIXIE DUST and WORKING JEWEL bumped ,both were well back in the field at this point.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	CHOCDEE ALICE was a late scratching due to illness. racing off the mat CAWBOURNE PEEJAY, MISS MOWHAWK and ALLEGRO ALL GO came together. CAWBOURNE PEEJAY ran wide in to the first bend racing out widest there after.
Race 9	KEENAN CONCRETE C4 - C4 - 305	PAT NOT PLAIT ( fav ) from box 5 was severely tightened coming off the mat as ONE BROKE GIRL ran in and HAPPY WIFE moved outwards PAT NOT PLAIT caught the hind quarters of HAPPY WIFE as she went back a length. ONE BROKE GIRL then angled in towards the rail bumping and jostling HAPPY WIFE for some strides. Racing in to the first bend PAT NOT PLAIT was racing widest back in the rear when improving came together with FUNKY FREDDY as this runner came back off heels. PAT NOT PLAIT and FUNKY FREDDY raced together attempting to improve racing past the point of the top bend where HAPPY WIFE improving quickly ran on to the heels of PAT NOT PLAIT checking this runner . PAT NOT PLAIT lost momentum and ground back to the rear finishing in last placing at the line. PAT NOT PLAIT was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 10	AON CPF C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	HOMEBUSH SPOOK from box 8 was last away, racing in to the far bend HOMEBUSH SPOOK was 5 or so lengths in the rear HOMEBUSH SPOOK finished in last placing at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found . The Kennel rep for McInerney kennels was asked to pass on that the Stewards will be watching for better performance in the future.
Race 11	INTERISLANDER C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	Soon after the start TWO UP ( fav ) angled inwards tightening BOTANT WIN in on to EMBEE DEE jostling these runners for several strides. EMBEE DEE was tightened back in behind at this point. Racing in to the first bend MANU RAMA raced past BOTANT WIN angling inwards resulting in BOTANY WIN going back in on to and tightening EMBEE DEE in towards the rail. EMBEE DEE went back to the rear and was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line. BOTANY WIN was referred to the vet at the handlers request on returning to the kennel block where she was found to have a laceration to the face that required suturing a 14 day stand down was recommended.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	Racing in to the first bend ALLEGRO ALL CLASS was hampered for some strides when unable to clear the hind of AL'S GIRL. SEDGEBROOK BABE box 8 was forced to race wide throughout, when improving on the home turn SEDGEBROOK BABE was checked when bumped by ALLEGRO ALL CLASS who was attempting a gap between SPEEDY BEAT on he inner and SEDGEBROOK BABE on his outer . Once balanced up SEDGEBROOK BABE ran on strongly in the run to the line to finish in to 4th placing.
