Track: Good Due to a malfunction with the 375 metre boxes all events from this starting point were manually started. This information was relayed to the relevant media outlets.

Race 1	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Sprint - C1 - 375	FEEL THE FORCE (7) ran inwards sharply from the boxes hampering ZULU MERCEDES (6), HIGH CALIBRE (5), CONTEMPORANEOUS (4), GO ANDWYN (3) and SPOTTED FLYER (2), with HIGH CALIBRE and FEEL THE FORCE losing several lengths. Contributing to the incident was SPEARMINT JUJU (1) which was inclined to shift up the track. HIGH CALIBRE was unable to make any discernible ground thereafter, with a post-race veterinary examination revealing a torn right-hind gracilis muscle. GO ANDWYN raced in restricted room rounding the bend when to the inside of CONTEMPORANEOUS. ZULU MERCEDES was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed soreness in the off-side hip support muscle. FEEL THE FORCE also underwent a veterinary inspection which cleared the dog of injury.
Race 2	Cogswell Survey Ltd Sprint - C0 - 375	SEMI AUTOMATIC (4) was slow to jump. SIMPLY YETI (8) ran inwards from the boxes forcing TAKE ACTION (7) into the line of HIGHWAY HOUND (9/6) which was tightened, losing ground. ROMAN ACTION (5) was crowded soon after between OUR MYSTRO (3) which ran up the track and SIMPLY YETI which continued its inward shift. OUR MYSTRO was crowded racing into the bend between SCOTT SOME TICKA (2) and SIMPLY YETI both of which shifted ground, with the trailing TAKE ACTION and ROMAN ACTION being forced to shift wider to avoid heels. OUR MYSTRO appeared indifferent in its action over the concluding stages, with a subsequent veterinary examination clearing the dog of injury.
Race 3	The Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C2 - 375	THRILLING CARTER (6) was slow to jump. THRILLING WIGGLE (3) ran inwards from the boxes colliding with OUR SAMBO (2) which lost ground. OUR SAMBO was then further hampered when BIGTIME MOOLA (4) ran inwards. THRILLING WIGGLE (3) was checked entering the bend when racing to the inside of LADY JANE (7) which was forced inwards by the improving NO MORE DEBT (8).
Race 4	Garrards Horse & Hound Sprint - C1 - 375	JINJA MIA (6) and MISS BUNNYTHOPRE (7) collided on jumping. JUST ABOUT READY (2) raced in restricted room approaching the bend and was unable to improve for a short distance. MAKING YOU PAW (5) ran outwards entering the bend colliding with JINJA MIA. MAKING YOU PAW was then crowded when between JINJA MIA and MISS BUNNYTHORPE which ran outwards. MAKING YOU PAW was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed soreness in the off-side shoulder. GOLFING BUDDY (3) was crowded rounding the bend when between BILL RUSH (8) and PREOCCUPIED (4), with GOLFING BUDDY contacting the heel of PREOCCUPIED losing its footing momentarily.
Race 5	General Engravers Ltd Sprint - C3 - 375	UMAGA RAMA (3) ran inwards abruptly from the boxes crowding RASSO (2). UMAGA RAMA continued to shift down the track colliding with JACK ROB (1) soon after which became unbalanced and fell to the track. JACK ROB regained its footing and finished at the lure, with a subsequent veterinary examination clearing the dog of injury. TRIDENT (4) and PEACOCK PRINCESS (5) were crowded entering the bend between RASSO (2) and LUCKY MAN (9/6) which ran inwards on the point of the turn. LUCKY MAN continued to shift inwards resulting in RASSO being awkwardly placed on that runners heels.
Race 6	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C3/4 - 375	MACJAM (8) ran inwards from the boxes crowding SANDOR GLEGANE (7) onto SOMETIME SOON (6) which lost its footing. VINTAGE OSTI (5) raced in restricted room for several strides rounding the bend when improving into a narrow gap between ROCKY BOY (4) and STYLISH FANCY (1). MYRNIONG GIRL (3) ran outwards through the early stages of the home straight pushing MACJAM wider on the track.
Race 7	Mike Stent Decorators Stakes - C1 - 457	EMBRACE ME (2) was slow to jump. LOCHINVAR MAINE (4) and DIVA POSE (5) collided leaving the boxes, with LOCHINVAR MAINE checking outwards across that runners heels forcing CRYING IN VEGAS into the line of APRIL'S MY MUM (7). DIVA POSE ran inwards approaching the bend checking WAIRIO DEE JAY (3) which lost ground. DIVA POSE continued to shift inwards crowding EMBRACE ME which made firm contact with the running rail. EMBRACE ME was examined by the veterinarian following the event and cleared of injury. CRYING IN VEGAS made the bend awkwardly contacting the running rail, with CRYING IN VEGAS being further hampered when colliding with WAIRIO DEE JAY which ran inwards to avoid the heels of EMBRACE ME. CRYING IN VEGAS underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 8	Affordable Pet Accessories Sprint - C5 - 375	GUMBALANYA (9/7) was last to jump. THRILLING GALAXY (3) ran inwards from the boxes inconveniencing GOOD RETURN (2). NANGAR STAR (6) ran inwards abruptly approaching the bend colliding with GOOD RETURN which lost ground. NANGAR STAR then raced in restricted room rounding the bend when inside TALKIN FANCY (8) which was forced inwards by THRILLING GALAXY, with the trailing GOOD RETURN having to check when improving up onto the heels of NANGAR STAR.
Race 9	Dogzone Sprint - C1 - 375	PLENTY OF TIME (9/2) went up with the lids at the start, losing ground. COOKIE MONSTER (6) and OPAWA UNO (8) collided entering the bend, with OPAWA UNO contacting the heel of that runner and blundering. PLENTY OF TIME had to check rounding the bend when awkwardly near the heels of OPAWA UNO. DIPSY LALA pulled up seemingly lame following the event and was examined by the veterinarian which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 10	Palamountains Nutrition Stakes - C3 - 457	OPAWA KURU (3), LAKERVILLE (9/4) and STINGER (5) came together and bumped on jumping. STINGER then ran inwards through the early stages making contact with the hindquarters of GOLD CLASS (2) which was unbalanced. GOLD CLASS was tightened racing into the bend between OPAWA KURU and STINGER which ran inwards, with STINGER being dragged down by the trailing BLACK DUDE (6) which was forced inwards by JAZZBOY JACK (8) and GOLD CLASS falling to track when dragged down by the trailing LAKERVILLE which was unable to avoid that runner. GOLD CLASS regained its footing and finished at the lure, with a post-race veterinary examination revealing no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of MELMAN (7), Trainer R Roper could offer no tangible explanation.
