| Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C0 - 295 | UNO NATHAN (7) ran inwards checking GO MCINDOE (6) in the initial stages. FANCY NOMIKAI (8) then ran inwards checking UNO NATHAN. GO MCINDOE and ANOTHER RELM (5) collided in the back straight with ANOTHER RELM badly unbalanced as a result. Into the bend FANCY NOMIKAI was dragged down by KELLY'S BOY (2) with FANCY NOMIKAI losing ground. FANCY NOMIKAI was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. The trailing HILTON CUST (3) was inconvenienced in this incident. BELFAST BARRY (4) ran outwards on the turn pushing CUPCAKE (1) wider on the track. |
| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Mick Kennedy Sprint - C0 - 295 | REALITY (9/6) was a clear last on jumping with KING CAESAR (7) also settling well back. GORDONS MY MATE (1) was inclined to shift up the track into the bend placing UNO NIGEL (4), BIG CATCH (5) and JINJA BRIAN (8) in restricted room. |
| Race 3 | Barron's Supplies Stakes - C0 - 520 | OPAWA JANET (2) turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the race. This bitch is now required to complete a satisfactory box trial (subsequently completed on 11 February). EKALI (6) stumbled on leaving the boxes and settled well back. OPAWA MAF (5) and JON SNOW LIVES (7) came together in the early stages. SPARE ACTION (3) ran wide in the back straight. OPAWA DIVA (4) was held up for racing room on the final bend. |
| Race 4 | christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C0 - 295 | YAHBINI BALE (2) ran outwards simultaneously to CAIRNELLA (4) angling inwards on dispatch causing FLASH THE CASH (3) to be badly tightened and drop to the rear. BARCIA EXPRESS (7) and CAIRNELLA came together into the turn with FLASH THE CASH momentarily hampered in behind. OPAWA WHISPER (6) ran outwards on the home turn with YAHBINI BALE checking outwards off its heels. YAHBINI BALE then ran back towards the rail checking WOW MADONNA (5) with both runners losing ground. YAHBINI BALE was checked and cleared by the vet. |
| Race 5 | DogZone Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW WORTH (3) was last to jump. ESTER ACTION (6) ran inwards in the early stages checking JEWEL EAGLE (5) which lost ground. KNOW WORTH ran outwards clipping the heels of JEWEL ACTION in the run to the first bend with KNOW WORTH then racing very wide around that bend. KNOW WORTH continued to cover extra ground throughout. |
| Race 6 | The Turf Bar Sprint - C0 - 295 | CHILE MUSTARD (7) ran inwards in the early stages checking HOMEBUSH FREDDO (5) and losing ground. CAWBOURNE CRAIG (4) checked outwards off the heels of OPAWA BLINKY (3) into the bend and pushed JINGA SNAG (6) wider on the track. |
| Race 7 | Garrard's Horse And Hound Distance - C1d - 645 | VERNON BALE (5) was last to jump. IZZEY BALE (9/3) was badly checked by CAWBOURNE CLOVER (2) in the early stages and then tightened into the first bend losing ground. UNOVA BALE (1) lost ground at this stage. IZZEY BALE then dropped off the body of the field with a lap to run. IZZEY BALE was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a torn right gracilis. CAWBOURNE MIAMI (6) ran wide in the early stages. LONG STOCKINGS (4) got on heels at the end of the back straight. CAWBOURNE CLOVER received a slight check at the end of the back straight as LONG STOCKINGS improved to its inside. |
| Race 8 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C2 - 295 | CABARITA (7) ran inwards sharply in the early stages causing checks to HOMEBUSH FINE (5), MIGHTY MAC (3) and HARSESIS (2) before coming together with GRIFINATOR (1). HARSESIS and MIGHTY MAC bumped on the bend losing momentum. VAN GERWIN (8) was handy into the bend but drifted out with the vet confirming that this dog was suffering from muscle tie-up. |
| Race 9 | Hampden Tavern Stakes - C2 - 520 | ALL ABOUT ECHO (8) was last to jump. ARCANE SABRE (3) was tightened into the first bend and dropped to the rear. LAGOON MYTYE (4) ran wide around the first turn and remained wide throughout. |
| Race 10 | Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C2 - 295 | ANOTHER KEY (3) was very awkwardly away from the traps and lost his chance. Stewards held authorisation of the payment of dividends until it was confirmed that ANOTHER KEY had received a fair start. HARDEN FASTER (6) and DAD'S AMBITION (8) were slow to leave the traps. SALLY (7) angled inwards on the home turn brushing with UGO FLASH (2) for a short distance. |
| Race 11 | Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C2 - 295 | ZORBA THE GREEK (1) was last on jumping. ROYAL ACTION (3) and HOMEBUSH SLINKY (4) came together in the early stages. DEFINITE (8) was checked into the bend and lost ground. SCREW AND BOLT (2) was checked and lost momentum after unsuccessfully attempting to cross to the lead on the bend. SWEET MARYLOU (7) checked outwards off the heels of TERRA ALERT (5) on the turn. Soon after BADUZZI (6) ran outwards when looking for racing room and pushed TERRA ALERT wider on the track. ROYAL ACTION ran wide in the home straight. |
