Track: Good The track was well presented and watered throughout the day. All equipment operated satisfactorily.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: After further consideration the Stewards have reviewed the relativity and application of

Australian Greyhound Racing Rule 69B (1) (a) with respect to a greyhound being penalised for

failing to pursue the lure when subsequently being found to be suffering from an injury. While

the New Zealand Greyhound Rules of Racing recognise penalties imposed by external

jurisdictions there nonetheless is no comparable New Zealand rule to Australian Rule 69B (1)(a)

and as such the penalty imposed against ZIPPING DEE of 3 months has been further amended to

28 days to more accurately reflect the offending of the greyhound.

Race 1	Happy Birthday Peter Henley Sprint - C0 - 375	TAKE ACTION (8) shifted in on jumping checking ZOE'S FUNK (6) and DRUNKEN LADY (5) with TAKE ACTION and DRUNKEN LADY then jostling for some strides. VEGAS BURST (3) and SCOT SOME TICKA (4) came together briefly shortly after the start. VEGAS BURST (favourite) faltered badly on the final turn and went back through the field checking DRUNKEN LADY. VEGAS BURST underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed a strained right calf muscle with a 28 day stand down imposed.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Hayley Mullane Sprint - C1 - 375	MISS BUNNYTHORPE (1) began awkwardly before losing ground entering the first turn when to the inside of MALIGNED (2), which shifted down to the rail.
Race 3	YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C2 - 375	THRILLING CARTER (8) was slow on jumping. ZULU MERCEDES (2) and WHO ROCKS (3) came together shortly after the start and then again approaching the first turn. ZULU MERCEDES was then checked and lost ground when BIGTIME MOOLA (5) and COOKIE MONSTER (4) angled inwards towards the rail on entering the turn.
Race 4	Greyhounds North Distance - C2d - 650	BLACK DUDE (4) was checked shortly after the start when JAZZBOY JACK (3) shifted out and SHANDELL (5) shifted in. WHO DAT BOY (7) and THRILLING EVIE (6) came together and jostled entering the first turn. WHO DAT BOY then had to check off the hind quarters of ACAMAS (8) further around the bend and lost ground after BLACK DUDE (4) forced a run to the inside of THRILLING EVIE, which also lost ground.
Race 5	Hautapu Veterinary Services Sprint - C3 - 375	MELMAN (7) was last on jumping. VINCENT GALLO (5) had to check off the heels of BIG JAMESY (6) on the final turn and ran wide.
Race 6	DogZone Sprint - C1 - 375	PLENTY OF TIME (8) went up with the lids losing considerable ground. THAT ICE COLD (1) was slow to jump and settled towards the rear. CRYING IN VEGAS (4) and SCOTT THE LOOKS (2) came together and jostled for some strides entering the first turn, with both these runners being checked and losing ground shortly after when JINJA MIA (7) shifted inwards. SPINEL (3) shifted out on the final turn and carried SPEARMINT JUJU (5) wider on the track. SCOTT THE LOOKS had to check off the heels of LOCHINVAR MAINE (9) just prior to straightening for the run home.
Race 7	Palamountains Nutrition Sprint - C5 - 375	OPTIC SHIMMER (7) shifted in on the turn checking NANGAR STAR (6) and SOLARIAN (2) which both lost ground. CHRIS'S PRIDE (4) raced in restricted room approaching the final turn when to the inside of NANGAR STAR and SOLARIAN. CHRIS'S PRIDE was referred to the Vet for assessment which revealed a strained right shoulder with a 14 day stand down imposed.
Race 8	Box1 Gold Sprint - C1 - 375	FEEL THE FORCE (8) shifted in over the early stages and carried SCOTT NO VALUE (6) down onto JUST ABOUT READY (5) and JELLY GEM (4), which was checked with OUR SWIFT BUDDY (3) striking the rail and losing considerable ground. FEEL THE FORCE and OPAWA UNO (1) came together early in the run home and jostled for some strides with both runners being turned sideways and losing ground as a result. OUR SWIFT BUDDY underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormality.
Race 9	The Clubhouse Sports Bar Stakes - C2 - 457	KIMETTO (1) jumped awkwardly. BORIS GUMP (6) and LUCKY COLLECT (8) came together on several occasions over the early stages when at the rear.
Race 10	Image Apparel Sprint - C4 - 375	SANDOR GLEGANE (3) was checked and lost ground entering the first turn when UMAGA RAMA (4) shifted down to the rail.
Race 11	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Stakes - C1 - 457	MISS VOTCHKA (8) had to check off the heels of APRIL'S MY MUM (2) on the final turn and lost ground. ZIPPING DEE (3) turned its head on several occasions on the final turn when a clear leader and eased noticeably. A post race veterinary examination of ZIPPING DEE revealed no abnormality. ZIPPING GEE was subsequently stood down under Rule 79.1b for 1 month ( refer judicial ) and until it completes a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure in this incident.
Race 12	Farewell Finnbarr McCaffrey Stakes - C3/4 - 457	TRIPLE PARKED (2) and PREMIER OSTI (3) came together briefly shortly after the start. WHAT THAT DOES (6) and OPAWA KURU (9) also came together shortly after with OPAWA KURU and ZIPPING EXPRESS (4) then jostling for several strides. ZIPPING EXPRESS and PREMIER OSTI then came into contact briefly entering the first turn.
