Track: Good .Following heavy rain the day prior the track was soft early in the day but improving overhead conditions saw the track as dead for the start of the meeting. After Race 3 track conditions were upgraded to good.
Scales: Correct at all weights

Race 1	ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C0 - 390	BIG CATCH and CHAIR UP were slow to jump. From the jump UNO NIGEL ran inwards from the No. 4 box checking UNO NATHAN on his inner, while TOTES ran outwards from the No. 2 box bumping with RAND. Into the straight TOTES and BIG CATCH bumped losing momentum.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	From the jump REGALYN ran inwards from the No. 4 box checking APOLLO BAXTER who became unbalanced and lost momentum with the trailing CRYSTAL FLAME also inconvenienced. Shortly afterwards JOHNNYBRUCE was tightened when NO MORE BEERSIES shifted ground outwards.
Race 3	CONGRATULATIONS SINGAPORE SLING - C1 - 390	CAWBOURNE HINT was scratched without penalty under Rule 64.6 with a change of trainer notified. DEFINER was slow to jump from the No. 8 box. into the turn GLORY HOG was tightened when COUNTRY CROSSING shifted ground inwards.
Race 4	BELATED BIRTHDAY WISHES DAVE - C1 - 390	EUG THE SCROOGE was slow to jump, and then was tightened when SAILORS COLLAR ran outwards from the No. 4 box. SAILORS COLLAR dictated TILT wide and in turn ALL ABOUT ECHO and CAWBOURNE OHIO were also checked. EUG THE SCROOGE ran wide on the turn and SAILORS COLLAR ran wide in the straight.
Race 5	YOU THOUGHT WE FORGOT DIDN'T YA DAVE? - C1 - 390	MINIMAL jumped awkwardly losing momentum while EBONY FANCY shifted ground inwards from the No. 5 box tightening TIMELY REMINDER on her inner. Shortly after the jump MAX STIX ran inwards tightening TIMELY REMINDER and MINIMAL. On the turn THRILLING SHRIMP shifted inwards checking HOMEBUSH BUCK.
Race 6	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 457	OPAWA MAF was slow to begin. SEA SPRAY ELSA, HILTON CUST, EBONY FANCY and THRILLING SHRIMP all bumped over the early stages. SEA SPRAY ELSA ran outwards in the run to the bend making contact with OPAWA LIBBY. HILTON CUST checked off the inside of EKALI on the point of the bend when running out of racing room.
Race 7	ADDED ENERGY - C4 - 390	REPLAY was slow to begin. Shortly after the start AIR EXPRESS stumbled then was struck from behind by REPLAY with AIR EXPRESS losing several lengths. Just prior to the bend ABRASADOR shifted inwards onto OPAWA OPAL which in turn forced GOOD GENES onto TELL THE BOYS with TELL THE BOYS losing its position. MICKEY TEE and AIR EXPRESS bumped in the straight.
Race 8	WELCOME BRAXTON SEQUE - C1 - 457	From the jump STEEL THE GOLD and PATTY'S PICK bumped losing momentum. FEKITOA ran inwards from the No. 7 box tightening HERITAGE WATCH on his inside who then ran wide on the track. On the turn DYNA QUIRK held up FEKITOA for racing room, with FEKITOA also held up for clear racing room in the run home.
Race 9	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C2 - 390	ANOTHE KEY bounded at the start losing momentum. From the jump STORMING NORM in the No. 4 box was tightened between BADUZZI and HOMEBUSH FLYTE. Shortly afterwards SMOKING MARLEY ran inwards from the No. 8 box dictating OPAWA LEAN MEAT into the path of BOTANY LIZ with the trailing STORMING NORM held up.
Race 10	CONGRATULATIONS MR ZIM - C2 - 457	At the jump UGO FLASH shifted ground sharply inwards from the No. 8 box badly checking WHAT I LIKE who stumbled and lost ground. Shortly after the jump LAGOON TWIST ran outwards from the No. 3 box dictating HOMEBUSH ERROL outwards with the trailing ARCANE RAMPAGE also checked. Into the turn ARCANE RAMPAGE ran abruptly inwards across the heels of THRILLING LUKE before making firm contact with the running rail and losing all chance to finish a distant last. After the race ARCANE RAMPAGE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 11	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C2 - 390	SLEEPER AGENT was crowded at the start when crossed over by JOEY BAXTER. HOMEBUSH GRU was examined by the veterinarian following this race after colliding with other runners post race with no abnormalities detected.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C4/5 - 390	CHOKEHOLD stumbled at the jump. Shortly after the start NEW THANG shifted inwards making contact with HARKONEN BALE which in turn contacted PORKY PIG. PORKY PIG and HARKONEN BALE jostled in the run to the bend. PORKY PIG checked off the heels of HARKONEN BALE approaching the bend.
Race 13	greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C3 - 457	IZZEY BALE and ZIPPING SONNY were slow to jump. At the top of the straight BIRCHBROOK shifted ground outwards checking ZIPPING SONNY who lost momentum.
Race 14	100 STARTS BARTY - C3 - 390	From the jump HOMEBUSH RILEY shifted ground outwards checking THRILLING SPELL with BAD WEEK also tightened. Into the turn BAD WEEK was tightened between HOMEBUSH RILEY and HOMEBUSH SLINKY. After the race OPAWA BART appeared to be uncomfortable when walking off the track and was subject to a veterinary check which revealed the dog to have a sprained right front carpal ligament with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 15	RACING AGAIN 9TH FEBRUARY - C4/5 - 457	JESSIE SURFS bounded at the jump and lost several lengths. From the jump ROBBIE shifted ground outwards from the No. 5 box tightening HOMEBUSH HOWARD and SOUTHERN LIGHTS on his outer.
