Weather: Fine
Track: Good Track was presented in a good racing condition being well groomed through out the meeting. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainer A Turnwald applied to the Stewards under rule 79.7 to cancel the endorsement against SPRINGVALE HARRY as the dog has now completed 10 clear runs.
Trainers S & C Blackburn were fined $100-00 rule 69.11 after LEGAL AID race 7 weighed in 1.9 kgs up from his last race on 11-1-2016.
GUISEPPI race 1 slipped his collar at pre race parade and was late scratched as a result.
The Stewards inspected the gear that was used on the dog and found it to be in a good condition, handler C Brider could offer no explanation as to how the dog slipped the collar no further action taken.
LEGAL AID winner of race 7 was nominated for swabbing , the dog vomited in the kennel which was cleaned and the dog was swabbed and vetted all clear.

Race 1	Formpro Ratings Free Every Monday C0 - C0 - 375	GUISEPPI was a late scratching at pre race parading after slipping his collar and suffered an injury whilst loose. Soon after the start EYES ON KITTY ran out under the neck of BLACK ROADSTAR checking this runner back a couple of lengths. racing on to the bend EYES ON KITTY again attempted to angled outwards in to JAMES MCBELL, EYES ON KITTY was squeezed back catching heels as she lost ground. IF IT FITZ box 8 was forced to race wide in to and across the top bend covering a fair amount of extra ground during the running finishing towards the rear at the line alongside EYES ON KITTY.
Race 2	Manawatu Harness 4th and 7th Feb C0 - C0 - 457	JAZZ HILL box 6 was only fairly away in the initial stages. JAZZ HILL was several lengths in the rear racing in to the first bend and was unable to improve there after finishing in the rear at the line. JAZZ HILL was referred to the Vet for assessment and was found to have pain in the left pectoral & gracilis muscle. KING HIT MIKE was vetted on returning to the wash bay where the dog was showing signs of cramping, after hosing and water the dog soon recovered no stand down recommended.
Race 3	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	Soon after the start YOUR'E SO FREE ran in to bumping UNO SHAY ( fav ). Racing in to the first bend UNO SHAY on the inner was hampered fro a few strides when being tightened. MR ZAFONIC box 6 raced up angling in across the face of YOUR'E SO FREE checking this runner back to the rear. UNO SHAY racing on the inner midfield across the top bend could not improve his position only battled in the run home finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 4	Shakey Jakey At Rocky Ridge C2 - C2 - 375	OPAL JEWEL dwelt at the start, soon after OPAL JEWEL bumped in to CAWBOURNE GIL. Racing in to the first bend ANOTHER PLANE was hampered losing a couple of lengths due to being tightened out of a gap as GOOD TIME MIKE box 8 improved on the outer angling inwards pushing OPAL JEWEL in. HOMEBUSH GINGER on the inner was last in to the first bend and was unable to improve there after along with ANOTHER PLANE both dogs finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 5	Affordable Pet Accessories C1 - C1 - 457	This race was run 2 minutes behind the scheduled race start time due to handlers needing to source rain coats with heavy rain falling prior to leaving the parade area. Racing from the boxes FOX IN BOX widest runner angled in checking MILLY RIVERS back. FOX IN BOX ran on to ZIMMER FRAME and PHANTOM WAY. racing in to the first bend OLLISAURAUS racing in to the lead angled in across the face of BERNIE'S BOY who ran out on to PHANTOM WAY severely checking this runner who ran on to heels stumbling going back to a clear last in the running . PHANTOM WAY was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	Buck Fever At Stud C1 - C1 - 375	MANGAMAHU JACK box 7 was slightly checked coming off the mat as SASHA MCBELL raced across the face of him. MANGAMAHU JACK raced very wide there after covering a lot of extra ground in the running finishing towards the rear at the line. Racing in to the first bend CLEARLY MAGIC was checked as CAWBOURNE SPREE was checked back as SASHA MCBELL raced around angling inwards. CLEARLY MAGIC was unable to get back in to contention finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 7	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	BARRA BOY 1st NZ Start box 4 began awkwardly and was last away off the mat BARRA BOY was forced to race widest around the field in to and around the bend to the home straight where he was able to angled inwards finishing strongly once balanced in to 3rd placing at the line.
Race 8	Personal Protective Services C3 - C3 - 375	BLUE AND CURLY was a late scratching prior to arriving at the track where the dog was found to have an injury to p3 on the right hind. Racing in to the first bend CHINESE STAR made contact with the hind of CAWBOURNE DANIAL. CHINESE STAR became unbalanced at this point and was pushed out wider racing on to the bend as KAPUTSKI moved out off heels . CHINESE STAR was forced over extra ground finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C4 - C4 - 375	CEASAR CHANCE ( fav ) box 8 wasn't best away. racing off the mat ALLEGRO TOUCH, AYRA STARK and EMPTY BANK came together bumping and jostling for several strides. Racing in to the first bend AYRA STARK was forced in on to EMPTY BANK and OPAWA JACKIE, EMPTY BANK was tightened back from between these runners
Race 10	Preston's Master Butchers C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	Racing in to the first bend OPAWA EXTREME box 2 racing midfield had angled outwards racing through on the inner of MALAKAI MAGIC and THAT'S KING bumping these runners as they raced in to the bend, a couple of strides on OPAWA EXTREME was forced to check sharply out across the heels of OPAWA AMBER checking THAT'S KING and MALAKAI MAGIC again resulting in these runners racing wide with them unable to get in to contention there after.
Race 11	wheeldeal.co.nz C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	SEMANTICS was a late scratching mid morning when found to be in season. Racing in to the first bend SMASH ALLEGRO was hampered for a stride or so when in behind BIGTIME REIGN. WHEELIE GOOD box 5 after winning here at his last start raced widest in and around the bend in to the home straight covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 12	Restricted Age Stakes - R/A - 457	In the run to the first bend SWIFTLY CHOLE angled across checking TUFF DIAMOND and HEART YOU. Racing in to the first bend OUR GYPSY angled in on to HAWKESBURY FEVER pushing this runner in on to HEAR YOU and CAWBOURNE LOCK on the inner running out of room making contact with the rail. CAWBOURNE LOCK lost ground to be last in the running to the line. CAWBOURNE LOCK was referred to the vet for assessment where he found to have abrasions & bruising right side of the mouth.
