Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly apart from some slight delays as a result of issues at Harness meeetings.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: NIGHT PEARL, which was stood down at Wanganui on 15.01.16 for failing to pursue the lure throughout, was presented at this meeting under the provisions of Rule 79.5 and was found to be suffering from a right wrist sprain requiring a 21 day stand down. As a result, the original stand down was rescinded and is replaced with a stand down concluding on 06.02.16 and NIGHT PEARL is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing. CALL ME BLUE a runner in race 8 is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 80.1 after an unsatisfactory performance.

Race 1	AGRC Rewards Sprint - C0 - 318	HOT STAR shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to SCOTT NO LIMBS, GOT TIME and SCOTT SOME TICKA with SCOTT NO LIMBS and GOT TIME the most affected and they stayed back throughout to finish in the last two places. GOT TIME was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and cleared of injury. DRUNKEN LADY raced wide covering extra ground and finished in 6th place.
Race 2	Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C1 - 318	The start was delayed by 2 minutes at the request of TAB Control. JETSUN STORM was slow to begin and settled back. SCREAMING SKULL shifted out into the line of JETSUN STORM going into the first corner which resulted in checks to both runners and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. CHOCKA ME WALLET attempted a marginal gap inside SCOTT MY MONEY on the home turn and they bumped and both lost momentum briefly.
Race 3	Sel's TAB Mangere Sprint - C4/5 - 318	UP HIGH and SANDOR GLEGANE dwelt at the start and settled back where they stayed throughout. ZIPPING STEVE was tightened and checked at the start when runners either side shifted ground and he lost three lengths but recovered well to finish in 2nd place. SANDOR GLEGANE was checked entering the bend when FRESCO STAR shifted out and bumped him.
Race 4	Carol's TABS Sprint - C1 - 318	This race start time was delayed by 2 minutes at the request of TAB Control. MANYANA GROPER, SCOTT NO ODDS, SKINNY ANKLES and OUR SWIFT BUDDY all dwelt at the start and lost three lengths. SKINNY ANKLES checked off the heels of ASTA going into the bend and lost two lengths.
Race 5	Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C3 - 318	The start was again delayed by 2 minutes at the request of TAB control and this was again due to hold ups at Harness meetings. PRAIRE KACHINA, SKYLER WHITE and DRURY bumped together going to the first turn and were briefly unbalanced. A short distance further on, SKYLER WHITE shifted in causing a check to ZULU MERCEDES which lost four lengths.
Race 6	DogZone Sprint - C1/2 - 318	BAYMAX, WHERE'S CARLOS and FORTIS FIONA bumped together soon after the start and were briefly unbalanced. Soon after, BAYMAX shifted out and bumped with MR.JULES and went back onto WHERE'S CARLOS and they both lost two lengths.
Race 7	Happy Birthday William Issac Warren Stakes - C1/2 - 527	LOCHINVAR MAINE began awkwardly losing four lengths and she never recovered and finished last. JETSUN QUAKER checked off the heels of BILL RUSH on the first bend and lost two lengths.
Race 8	MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C4 - 318	FESTIVAL MISS and JINJA FANTASY were slow to begin losing three lengths. The favourite FESTIVAL MISS then raced a little wide on the bend and finished a poor last and was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution. FESTIVAL MISS was found to have a hip support injury requiring a long stand down. THRILLING GALAXY and CALL ME BLUE bumped soon after the start and then going to the first turn, CALL ME BLUE was observed to ease from his position and lost five lengths and was referred to the Vet for assessment. He was cleared of injury and is now required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing due to an unsatisfactory performance.
Race 9	Kevin Coutts Memorial Stakes - C3/4 - 527	LETS GO LETTIE was handy and sharing the lead going into the first bend but was tightened between runners and went back to last and stayed back for the remainder of the race. LUCKY COLLECT checked off the heels of ELECTRIC IMPULSE going into the final bend and went back onto BLOO BLOOMERS with both losing four lengths and all chance.
Race 10	Greyhounds North Graduation Distance - C1d - 603	MATALINO TWIST became awkwardly placed in restricted room going into the first turn and shifted out causing checks to ILLICIT TWIST and THRILLING EVIE and all three runners lost ground and settled at the rear. THRILLING EVIE recovered the best of the three and made up ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 11	Plasterboard Ltd Sprint - C1/2 - 318	COOKIE MONSTER was very slow away from the boxes losing several lengths but made up ground well for 4th placing. TEPIRITA AMBER and MACJAM led on the bend but bumped together and lost momentum briefly. BOSTON STRIKE raced very wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in last place.
Race 12	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318	PLAITING PUSS was slow to begin and settled at the rear. FRANKINCENSE checked off the back of SPOTTED FLYER going into the bend and shifted out forcing CONTEMPORANEOUS very wide on the bend over extra ground. LOLA'S QUEST was checked when well back going into the bend and she stayed back to finish in last place.
