Track: Good Track was presented in a very good racing condition being well maintained through out the meeting. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: NIGHT PEARL race 6 ( S Clark ) was stood down ( failing to pursue ) rule 79.1b 1st offence 28 days and to the completion of a satisfactory trial.
C Roberts was reminded to take greater care when boxing away after a complaint was laid regarding the boxing of JESSIE SURF in race 6.

Race 1	B.P. ENGINEERING - UPPER HUTT C1 - C1 - 305	EFFECTIVE POWER ( fav ) box 7 was only fairly away from the start, racing in to the first bend EFFECTIVE POWER angled across behind runner in to the shoulder of APOLLO pushing this runner in on to CAWBOURNE NEVADA and across the face of HYDE BAXTER who ran out of room being checked back to the rear. WILD EFFECTIVE also ran out of room checking off the heels of UNO SHAY and running out on to ALLEGRO STYLE bumping this runner hard resulting in ALLEGRO STYLE going outwards sideways as the field raced on to the top bend . ALLEGO STYLE and EFFECTIVE POWER lost a fair amount of ground however attempted to run on when balanced in the run home ,ALLEGRO STYLE dropped out to finish a margin in the rear at the line. ALLEGRO STYLE was referred to the vet fro assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 2	COMBINED PLUMBING PETONE C2 - C2 - 520	KIRKHAM HARVEY box 4 went right up with the lids missing the start by several lengths. Racing to the post on the first occasion ZIPPING JOCK attempted to race between CAWBOURNE CLAY and SWIFTLY CHLOE bumping this runner in on to CAWBOURNE LOCK checking and hampering this runner for some strides. CAWBOURNE LOCK went back to the rear. Racing to the end of the back straight CAWBOURNE LOCK attempted to make ground and was checked further as SWIFTLY CHLOE moved inwards . CAWBOURNE LOCK lost momentum and a few lengths finishing in last placing at the line.
Race 3	Brent Coull Memorial C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	Soon after the start OPEHU FLYER and CHAIMBO bumped for a stride or so. Racing in to the first bend VITO BAXTER vying for the lead angled inwards tightening on to CAWBOURNE ROWAN hampering this runner for several strides. CHAIMBO after bumping with OPEHU FLYER early raced widest there after finishing strongly in the run home to run down VITO BAXTER on the line.
Race 4	Brent Coull Memorial C2 Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	Racing away from the start SHELLY MCBELL ran in as PREMIER PRINCE ran out both coming together checking DOWNGRADE KING back from between them for a stride or so, SHELLY MCBELL lost momentum going back to several lengths last in the running racing to the first bend. HOMEBUSH CHAOS racing handy in to the first bend was tightened and bumped by DOWNGRADE KING who went sideways off balance going back through the field to the rear with HOMEBUSH CHAOS. HOMEBUSH CHAOS was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have suffered spike wounds to the rear of left hind calf muscles no stand down imposed. SHELLY MCBELL after losing ground in the early running made good ground in the run home finishing in to 6th placing at the line.
Race 5	Upper Hutt Hire Wellington Cup Ht1 (Group 1) - C5q - 520 Heat 1	Racing in to the bend on the first occasion CAWBOURNE CROUCH ( fav ) angled across cutting FABIO in on to ARTIC ACTION forcing this runner in to CHASING THE LINE and ABSINTHE MINDED, ABSINTHE MINDED on the inner came out on to the hind of CHASING THE LINE who ran out sharply in to FABIO and UNTRACEABLE checking and forcing these runners widest around the first bend. Racing to the back straight. ARTIC ACTION was checked as CAWBOURNE CROUCH angled down towards the rail. ARTIC ACTION lost a couple of lengths but recovered the ground nearing the home turn to finish in to 2nd placing at the line. UNTRACEABLE after being severely hampered in to the bend on the first occasion made good ground in the 2nd half of the race to finish in to 4th placing at the line.
Race 6	Upper Hutt Hire Wellington Cup Ht2 (Group 1) - C5q - 520 Heat 2	Racing from the start MELHAM, SHEER MISS and JESSIE SURFS all bumped together. Racing to the post on the first occasion NIGHT PEARL racing handy eased losing ground when racing in the clear between LOCHINVAR IMPACT on his inner and MARLISA on his outer and was checked as he went back bumping with JESSIE SURF. NIGHT PEARL went back to the rear and was unable to improve there after finishing in last placing at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. The Stewards reviewed the film with Trainer S Clark with regards to the performance of NIGHT PEARL in the run to the bend on the first occasion. After viewing the replay where the Stewards determined that there was enough clear racing room for NIGHT PEARL to keep his position in the running at that point After hearing submissions from S Clark with regards to the dogs previous race at Wanganui on 7-8-2015 and his opinion of the incident in tonight's race S Clark did not admit to a breach of Failing to pursue ), the Stewards have stood NIGHT PEARL down for 28 days ( failing to pursue ) 79.1b -first offence- and to the completion of a satisfactory trial.
Race 7	Wellington Champion Sprint C5 Ht1 - C5q - 305 Heat 1	HOMEBUSH RAMONA and CHEAP SHOT MATTY bumped as they came off the mat. HOMEBUSH RAMONA lost momentum and was a couple of lengths in the rear racing in to the first bend. WILD EFFECTIVE and ALLEGRO CLASS were best away vying for the lead racing in to the first bend with YEBOAH out wider improving fast on their outer as the field raced to the home turn where HAPPY WIFE came out bumping in to WILD EFFECTIVE who ran outwards dictating the racing line of YEBOAH resulting in YEBOAH being unable to angle inwards as the field turned in to the home straight. YEBOAH after covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running finished in to 3rd placing at the line.
Race 8	Upper Hutt Hire Wellington Cup Ht3 (Group 1) - C5q - 520 Heat 3	Racing past the post on the first occasion ROLEX ROO and JOE JOE were tightened and hampered for a couple of strides as CHECK THE MAIL and SPRINGVALE HARRY angled inwards . ROLEX ROO and JOE JOE bumped as they lost a couple of lengths. Soon after entering the bend on the first occasion ROLEX ROO faltered losing ground and finished on to the lure a margin in last placing and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have a torn gracilis muscle to the right hind.
Race 9	Wellington Champion Sprint C5 Ht2 - C5q - 305 Heat 2	LONE STAR LAD box 6 began awkwardly fro a stride or so. In the run to the first bend RITZA ROMAN box 3 angled out sharply between runners pushing CRANKY PANTS out on to LONE STAR LAD as SUBIC BAY ( fav ) from box 8 angled across , these dogs all bumped and jostled SUBIC BAY was hampered soon after entering the bend and lost momentum for a couple of strides . Nearing the home turn SUBIC BAY attempting to improve from the rear ran in to the back of LONE STAR LAD both dogs checking as they straightened fro the run home finishing in the rear at the line. SUBIC BAY and LONE STAR LAD were referred to the vet for assessment. SUBIC BAY was found to be clear of abnormalities. LONE STAR was found to be lame in the off hind around top end of fibula
Race 10	Upper Hutt Hire Wellington Cup Ht4 (Group 1) - C5q - 520 Heat 4	Racing in to the first bend KAVA BLU had to angle out sharply off the heels of FAST RIGBY going out pushing ZIPPING EXPRESS and LAGOON KOOTCHY outwards with KAVA BLU and ZIPPING EXPRESS running across the face of CAWBOURNE CLOVER checking this runner, with them all losing ground out wide allowing DYNA VICKERS ( fav ) to angled inwards gaining clear racing room where he soon made his presence racing to the lead by the home to finish best in the run home. LAGOON KOOTCHY after being forced widest around the first bend ended up in the rear and was unable to improve there after. KAVA BLU and FAST RIGBY after the earlier interference made up good ground to finish in to 3rd & 4th placings at the line.
Race 11	ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS - UPPER HUTT C3 - C3 - 305	Racing off the mat RUA RAMA ran outwards across the face of MISS MOWHAWK and on to NO TIME YET .Soon after racing to the first bend RUA RAMA and BOHANNON bumped and jostled with NO TIME YET bumping . NO TIME YET soon after lost ground to the rear of the field going back by a wide margin finishing well back in the rear at the line finishing on to the lure. Racing on to the bend NIKKA CENTURY ran outwards taking BRILLIANT ASHLEE widest on to the top point of the bend with both dogs tangling and jostling losing all chance there after. NO TIME YET was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have pain in the left triangle muscle.
Race 12	CAPITAL PAVING C4 - C4 - 305	Racing from the boxes ALLEGRO TOUCH ran inwards sharply across the face of CEASAR CHANCE bumping in to OPAWA JACKIE pushing this runner in on to SEMANTICS and WHEELIE CHILLIE. Racing on to the top bend WHEELIE CHILLIE improving ran on to the hind of LEDGERDEMAIN checking over this dogs heels in to the line of SEMANTICS and OPAWA JACKIE who were forced wider at this point. Racing in to the first bend CEASAR CHANCE after being checked back soon after the start made ground along the inner finishing strongly in to 3rd placing at the line.
