Judicial report: Handler G Tapiki was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 in that he failed to arrange a catcher for BIRCHBROOK at the conclusion of Race 9.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	CANDYBOY (3) and OPAWA CRUSADE (4) were both a touch slow to begin. BOTANY LIZ (2) shifted outwards in the early stages making contact with CANDYBOY and losing momentum for a stride. ONLY GOT TIME (1) was tightened into the bend and then ran outwards checking CANDYBOY and pushing OPAWA CRUSADE (4) wider on the track. HOMEBUSH FINE (6) was dragged down for a stride into the bend and lost ground. This bitch was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormality. CANDYBOY raced wide around the home turn.
Race 2	David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C3 - 295	HOMEBUSH SLINKY (4) was tightened in the early rush and lost ground. MISS FANNING (7) ran inwards in the back straight contacting GET READY FREDDY (5). CAR BOOTLE (2) was checked and turned sideways for a stride as GET READY FREDDY was forced down the track. AIR EXPRESS (8) ran inwards into the bend with GET READY FREDDY and HOMEBUSH SLINKY again being tightened and dropping to the rear. NEDDY SEAGOON (3) was held up on the bend and lost momentum. NEDDY SEAGOON then got on the heels of GET READY FREDDY on the home turn and dropped to the rear with a post race veterinary examination revealing no injury. ADROIT (10) raced wide on the concluding stages. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner MARY MARLOW (6), Trainer M Grant advised Stewards that this bitch was unlucky at its last start when downgrading and today was able to jump to the front where she races best.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C4 - 295	ROADWORKS (2) and BELIEVE (3) collided in the initial stages. HARKONEN BALE (7) ran inwards soon after causing tightening to HOMEBUSH PAIGE (6), REPLAY (5), TOKEN ACE (4) and BELIEVE. NO LEAF CLOVER (8) was dragged down into the bend losing momentum. NO LEAF CLOVER was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. HARKONEN BALE checked outwards into the bend with NO LEAF CLOVER receiving a slight check and HOMEBUSH PAIGE and REPLAY being forced wide. TOKEN ACE and HARKONEN BALE collided for a stride on the home turn.
Race 4	Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C3 - 295	HOMEBUSH FLYTE (5) ran inwards colliding with IMPERSONATOR (4) soon after dispatch. UNO BRENT (7) ran inwards coming together with ROYAL ACTION (6) in the early stages. WILL EXCITE (1) was checked in the back straight as WUNZEE (2) crossed to the rail. MAUDIE'S BABE (8) crossed down the track into the bend checking IMPERSONATOR which lost ground. WILL EXCITE ran outwards into the bend pushing IMPERSONATOR and UNO BRENT wider. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner MY FIRST LITTER (3), kennel representative D Roberts explained that the bitch had been recently downgraded and freshened since last racing adding that she had been trialing well of late.
Race 5	Hampden Tavern Stakes - C3 - 520	KNOW NEGLECT (2) and TECHNIC (6) were the last pair on settling. UGO FLASH (7) received some tightening into the first bend after KNOW DECISION (4) had shifted outwards. TECHNIC checked wide around the home turn.
Race 6	Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C5 - 295	OPAWA ROCKET (4) was last on jumping. KNOW KNOWING (2) raced in restricted room into the bend and lost momentum. SMASH RUMOUR (3) lost ground into the bend when racing to the outside of KNOW KNOWING with OPAWA ROCKET checked in behind. FIREMANS GALAXY (5) ran outwards into the bend checking HOMEBUSH ARIEL (6) and keeping MOJO BURST (8) wide on the track. OPAWA ROCKET checked outwards on the bend causing MOJO BURST to be forced to race very wide with both runners losing their chances.
Race 7	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C4 - 520	BOTANY KEVIN (7) was last to jump. KNOW MENTION (3) checked outwards into the first bend after OPAWA VAL (4) had angled inwards with KNOW MENTION making contact with SOLSTICE (8) which dropped to the rear. KNOW SCHOLAR (9) raced wide in the home straight.
Race 8	Fast Archer At Stud Distance - C2d - 645	UNOVA BALE (1) was last on jumping. KNOW WORTH (8) was trapped wide around the first bend and continued to cover extra ground throughout. TRUST ISSUES (7) raced in restricted room in the back straight and failed to run on with this runner being referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormality. Co-Trainer D Fahey expressed disappointment at the lack-lustre effort of TRUST ISSUES and undertook to inform Stewards if anything arises which may explain the performance.
Race 9	Camside Stud Bitches Final - SPECAf - 520	KNOW CHEERS (4) was a late scratching at 2.45pm when found to be in season. IDOL LEANNE (6) was last on jumping. RUN ZOLA (3) was tightened into the first bend and lost ground with GOLDSTAR COCO (5) checking outwards to avoid her. IDOL LEANNE was pushed very wide as a result of this incident. RUN ZOLA and IDOL LEANNE were both referred to the vet for assessment with both bitches sustaining toe injuries.
Race 10	The Turf Bar Dash - C4 - 295	OPAWA OPAL (4) and KNOW HERO (8) were the last pair on jumping. GOOD GENES (7) ran inwards in the back straight causing tightening to WEARS THE GOLD (6), HOMEBUSH RUFUS (5), ANOTHER FAN (3) and TERRA MONDO (1). The last mentioned pair were referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 11	C.T.V. Sprint - C5 - 295	KERAMUS (6) was last to jump. SMASH THAT (1) ran outwards in the back straight pushing kennelmate COLLECTING MONEY (5) up the track which in turn hampered PORKY PIG (7) and PAPERBOND (8). PAPERBOND then ran inwards into the bend tightening PORKY PIG and PUMA PANTS (2). GUMP'S THE NAME (4) raced wide in the home straight.
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C4 - 295	RICK'S TREASURE (8) ran inwards in the early stages simultaneously to CAWBOURNE DOZER (2) shifting outwards resulting in NORMAN JEWEL (7), GOSSIP QUEEN (6), TELL THE BOYS (5), BO'S BUSINESS (4) and SHOWROOM (3) all receiving some tightening. NORMAN JEWEL ran outwards into the bend checking GOSSIP QUEEN. Closer in BO'S BUSINESS also ran outwards with TELL THE BOYS receiving a check. BO'S BUSINESS raced wide on the home turn.
