Judicial report: Trainer J McInerney was issued with a charge pursuant to Rule 69.11 after JAMES MCBELL(R1) was presented to race 2.3 kilograms above its previous raceday weight on 30 December 2015, with the matter being referred to the JCA for consideration.

Race 1	Formpro Ratings Free Every Monday C0 - C0 - 375	JAMES MCBELL was presented to race 2.3 kilograms above its last raceday weight on 30 December 2015. Kennel representative B Waite expressed his concerns regarding JAMES MCBELL during the pre-race preparations, in particularly with the amount of weight increased and the affect it may have on the dog. JAMES MCBELL underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently late scratched at 2.10pm on veterinary advice, with a 3-day stand down period imposed. Stewards opened and adjourned an investigation into this matter. The start of this event was delayed 2 minutes at the request of TAB control. KENTUCKY DOLL (6) and NANA'S GIRL (8) were the last to jump. EVA'S STORM (5) ran inwards through the early stages colliding with BELFAST SMARTY (3). BELFAST SMARTY then had to check outwards across the heels of PACIFIC VIBE (7) forcing EVA'S STORM and NANA'S GIRL wider on the track, with NANA'S GIRL contacting the heel of EVA'S STORM soon after and blundering. NANA'S GIRL was examined by the veterinarian following the event and was cleared of injury.
Race 2	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	CAWBOURNE PIRATE was declared a late scratching at 1:08pm when found to have a cellulitis infection in the right hind-leg. The start of this event was delayed 3 minutes due to the handlers arriving late to the boxes. MR. ZAFONIC (8) was slow to jump. ALQUEZAR (3) and CAWBOURNE BRAE (5) collided leaving the boxes. TAKEAWAY (7) ran inwards entering the bend resulting in CAWBOURNE BRAE, ALQUEZAR, SHANE MCBELL (9) and MANGAMAHU JACK (1) being placed in restricted room for several strides, with ALQUEZAR being further hampered when dragged down by CAWBOURNE BRAE. The trailing MR. ZAFONIC was hampered in consequence when unable to avoid heels. ALQUEZAR was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed gracilis soreness in the right-hind.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH NAKI (4) ran inwards rounding the bend crowding SASHA MCBELL (5) which came back onto the trailing CLEARLY MAGIC (3). CAWBOURNE GIL (6) was placed in restricted room rounding the bend when between CAWBOURNE SPREE (8) and HOMEBUSH PIPPI (9) which ran outwards.
Race 4	Buck Fever At Stud C1 - C1 - 457	OUR GYPSY (8) ran inwards abruptly from the boxes forcing THRILLING TOBY (10) into the line of VIVA LA VIXEN (6), RUBBED OUT (5), DECEPTIVE LAD (3) and SUPER BAD (2) which were all hampered, with DECEPTIVE LAD losing ground. DECEPTIVE LAD was then obliged to run wide rounding the bend. DECEPTIVE LAD was examined by the veterinarian following the event which revealed pectoral muscle soreness.
Race 5	Affordable Pet Accessories C1 - C1 - 375	YOU'RE SO FREE (10) was last to jump. OPAL JEWEL (6) ran inwards from the boxes forcing HYDE BAXTER (5) into the line of KOTUMBA (4) and NO MORE MARMITE (3) which were hampered. HYDE BAXTER was crowded entering the bend between HUGGLEMONSTER (2) and CAWBOURNE MARTIN (8), with HYDE BAXTER contacting the heel of CAWBOURNE MARTIN which dragged down momentarily. HYDE BAXTER ran inwards soon after resulting in KOTUMBA and NO MORE MARMITE being tightened, with the trailing DOGGED DAN (9) being hampered when unable to avoid heels. HUGGLEMONSTER checked outwards rounding the bend when awkwardly near the heels of CAWBOURNE MARTIN. HUGGLEMONSTER then collided with KOTUMBA entering the home straight, with HUGGLEMONSTER becoming unbalanced.
Race 6	Shakey Jakey At Rocky Ridge C2 - C2 - 375	PREMIER PRINCE (2) ran outwards through the early stages forcing CAWBOURNE GABLE (5) into the line of HOMEBUSH BOUNCE (7) which was hampered. CAWBOURNE GABLE was then bumped heavily by SUPERLINER (8) resulting in CAWBOURNE GABLE being pushed down the track into the line of PREMIER PRINCE, MALAKAI MAGIC (4) and NITRO MARY which were all hampered. PREMIER PRINCE was obliged to race wider for the remainder.
Race 7	Manawatu Harness Racing Club C3 - C3 - 375	ANOTHER COVER (5) and CAWBOURNE DANIAL (4) collided soon after the start, with CAWBOURNE DANIAL becoming unbalanced. ANOTHER COVER raced in restricted room entering the bend between CAWBOURNE DANIAL and CAWBOURNE SARAH (9) which ran inwards. BIG BOY DENO (6) had to check in the early stages of the home straight when awkwardly near the heels of SEMANTICS (1) which ran outwards.
Race 8	Personal Protective Services C2 - C2 - 375	LEGAL AID (10) ran inwards from the boxes hampering ANOTHER PLANE (8). ALAMEIN BLONDE (2) and WEE DIGER (3) collided approaching the bend. ANOTHER PLANE had to check rounding the bend when tightened for room to the inside of ALAMEIN BLONDE which ran inwards.
Race 9	Outback Trading Company C1 - C1 - 457	CHASE ME APATCHE (2) and PACIFIC SUNRISE (3) collided leaving the boxes, with PACIFIC SUNRISE and AUTUMN LIGHTS (4) colliding soon after. AUTUMN LIGHTS and ZIMMER FRAM (7) collided approaching the bend when both runners shifted ground. DARK GARNAH (1) and THRILLING RIOT (6) collided rounding the bend resulting in THRILLING RIOT becoming unbalanced and losing its footing momentarily.
Race 10	Paul Claridge Electrical C2 - C2 - 457	KIRKHAM HARVEY (4) went up with the lids at the start, losing ground. CAWBOURNE LOCH (5) ran inwards soon after the start colliding with OPAWA SHAY (3). MAGIC WHITELOCK (1) and SWIFTLY CHLOE (6) bumped on several occasions along the back straight, with MAGIC WHITELOCK being tightened shortly after between OPAWA SHAY and SWIFTLY CHLOE which ran inwards. ZIPPING JOCK (8) ran wide rounding the bend.
Race 11	wheeldeal.co.nz C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	KAPUTSKI (3) ran outwards through the early stages becoming awkwardly placed near the heels of CAWBOURNE MATTY (5). KNUCKLE BUMP (9) was crowded entering the bend between ROLEX ROO (8) and KAPUTSKI which ran outwards. PREMIER DIVISION (1) and CAWBOURNE CLOVER (4) collided entering the home straight. MARLISA and SHEER MISS came together and bumped on several occasions in the home straight, with SHEER MISS losing momentum.
Race 12	Preston's Master Butchers C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	FREEDOM FLYER (8) was last to leave the boxes. LAGOON KOOTCHY (1) and LOVING THE MIX (5) collided entering the bend, with LAGOON KOOTCHY being further hampered when dragged down by the trailing NERO (4) which had improved up onto that runners heels, shifting outwards and hampering RED MOOVA HOOVA (10). LAGOON KOOTCHY was examined by the veterinarian following the event and cleared of injury. Following the event FREEDOM FLYER became entangled between the running rail and safety fence, with a subsequent veterinary examination clearing the dog of injury.
