Track: Dead The weather was very changeable with sunshine and then showers at times during the evening and the showers did have some effect on the track. This resulted in the Curator having to change his grooming equipment during the programme to maintain a good even racing surface throughout the meeting.

Race 1	WELCOME SPRINT C1 - C1 - 305	ANOTHER CHARM, LIZ WATTO and TWO UP jostled together for some distance soon after the start and lost momentum. FORTIS MEMORIES lay out onto TWO UP going into the bend and was checked and fell and took no further part in the race. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and anf found to have suffered a serious leg injury.
Race 2	ANGLO UPHOLSTERY C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	CHAIMBO and FLYING BLAKE were slow leaving the boxes and settled back. CHAIMBO, FLYING BLAKE and HOMEBUSH BOUNCE bumped together when racing at the rear and they were unbalanced going into the bend, lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 3	CAPITAL PAVING C1 - C1 - 305	SHANE MCBELL, CAWBOURNE LEGS and ANOTHER QUEEN jostled together for a short distance soon after the start and were momentarily hampered losing momentum. SHANE MCBELL shifted in going into the first corner and crowded CHERIES BOY which eventually checked, went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 4	JIM BARTON MEMORIAL C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	ARCHIE'S TIME shifted out from the start and crowded CAWBOURNE DOUST, VITO BAXTER and DEATHSTAR. HOMEBUSH LUCIFER was also hampered in the incident. CAWBOURNE DOUST was observed to ease going into the bend and lost approxamately four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. CAWBOURNE DOUST was referred to the Vet for assessment and FLYING SWAN which performed poorly and finished in 7th place was also referred to the Vet for assessment. FLYING SWAN was found to have quadricep muscle pain. CAWBOURNE DOUST was found to have tricep and hip support muscle injuries and is required to complete a satisfactory trial under the provisions of Rule 80.1 before next racing.
Race 5	UPPER HUTT HIRE 04 5284473 C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	BIGTIME REDFOO shifted in going into the bend and crowded ANOTHER GROOM which lost hos position and went back to the rear. ANOTHER GROOM continued to lose ground and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pectoral muscle pain.
Race 6	COMBINED PLUMBING 0800777465 C2 - C2 - 520	WHERE'S SHIRAZ, CAWBOURNE GABLE and SHERLOCK IZMIR bumped together soon after the start and lost momentum briefly. A short distance further on, HAWKESBURY FEVER checked over the heels of OLLIE BAXTER and bumped with OPAWA EXTREME and they were also momentarily unbalanced.
Race 7	B.P ENGINEERING UPPER HUTT C3 - C3 - 305	BRILLIANT ASHLEE and BOHANNON were the slowest to begin and settled back. CAWBOURNE BUTTSY shifted out going into the bend and caused checks to HOMEBUSH OLIVE, BOHANNON and CAWBOURNE SARAH which all lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 8	THE INTERISLANDER C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	HOMEBUSH GINGER and PINK SHELLAC bumped together and were unbalanced losing four lengths going into the bend. SNOW BALL CHANCE which was following on the outside was checked and forced very wide into the bend and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 9	LION RED STAKES C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	One of the favourites LONESOME NITRO was bumped from the outside soon after the start and then faltered and began to drift off the back of the field. LONESOME NITRO continued to lose ground and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. He was found to have suffered a quadricep injury.
Race 10	THORNDON SPRINT C5 - C5 - 305	HOMEBUSH ZANE, MEGA JET and NERO bumped together after the start and they were unbalanced losing ground and settled back. MEGA JET and NERO were again unbalanced a short distance further on when they bumped together again and MEGA JET stayed back and finished last. NERO made up some ground and he finished in 4th pace.
Race 11	ANGUS INN LOWER HUTT C4 - C4 - 305	BIG FAT GYPSY and SERENA ROSE collided soon after the start and a short distance further on, EMPTY BANK galloped on the back of SERENA ROSE which lost several lengths and she never recovered and finished in last place. SERENA ROSE was examined by the vet and found to have suffered a gracilis muscle injury. ALLEGRO TOUCH shifted out on the bend and hampered FUNKY FREDDY and WHEELIE CHILLIE which were both forced wide over extra ground.
Race 12	WELLINGTON CUP HEATS NEXT FRIDAY C3 - C3 - 305	BIG BOY DENO shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to FEAR MARINA and LAGOON MAC which both lost ground. CHINESE STAR raced in a handy position but was checked on the bend, went back to the rear and finished last.
