| Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | TAYLA'S FRIEND (2) ran outwards in the early stages checking NOT BAD (3) which dropped to the rear. Simultaneously KNOW ENERGY (6) ran inwards and was turned sideways after its hind quarters contacted NICKSTA (5). HOMEBUSH MESSI (4) was inconvenienced in this incident. HOMEBUSH MESSI was unbalanced into the bend when racing in tight quarters and lost ground. On the home turn NOT BAD ran outwards checking HOMEBUSH MESSI when this pair were racing at the rear. |
| Race 2 | Hampden Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520 | CAWBOURNE KIN (8) was last from the traps. KINLOCH SILVER (5) and LEKTRA SPIDER (6) came together for a stride in the early stages. With a lap to run KNOW LUCK (7) ran inwards checking BOSTON MONA (4) which then ran outwards checking KINLOCH SILVER and LEKTRA SPIDER. OPAWA GAVIN (3), LEKTRA SPIDER and KNOW LUCK all raced wide in the home straight. The winner OPAWA COOKIE (2) took a heavy fall at the lure and together with BOSTON MONA was referred to the vet for assessment with no injuries diagnosed. KINLOCH SILVER was found to have a dislocated toe following this event. |
| Race 3 | DogZone Sprint - C1 - 295 | JOHNNYBRUCE (4) and OUR JOHN (5) were the last pair on jumping. GOLDSTAR ROSIE (7) ran inwards in the early stages dictating MOBILIZE (6) down the track. Into the bend GOLDSTAR ROSIE was dragged down from behind by JOHNNYBRUCE and lost ground. SONNY WILL (8) was also inconvenienced in this incident with MOBILIZE being pushed wider on the track. |
| Race 4 | christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520 | SPINE CHILLING (1) was a touch slow to jump. JINJALESS (6) angled outwards into the first bend pushing SKILLZ TAYLOR (8) wider on the track. OPAWA SMOKE (7) raced wide in the back straight. On the final bend OPAWA SMOKE was dragged down by JINJALESS on the home turn and dropped to the rear. OPAWA SMOKE was checked and cleared by the vet post race. |
| Race 5 | Yella Mustard At Stud Dash - C1 - 295 | ANOTHER KEY (3) was last to settle after EUG THE SCROOGE (4) had run inwards and made contact. HAYLEY JAMES (2) was also hampered in this incident. STAR APACHE (6) ran inwards into the bend checking EUG THE SCROOGE and HAYLEY JAMES with ANOTHER KEY held up behind these runners. EUG THE SCROOGE angled outwards on the home turn pushing STAR APACHE over extra ground. THESEUS (7) raced wide on the home turn when leading. HAYLEY JAMES was referred to the vet for assessment following this race and cleared of injury. |
| Race 6 | Little Brown Jug Sprint - C1 - 295 | FIRST OFFICER (2) was awkwardly away and tailed the field throughout with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment where it was found to have torn a gracilis muscle. MISS JOLT (1) shifted up the track marginally into the bend checking FOXY BABE (4) for a stride. FANCY ACTION (3) ran outwards in the home straight forcing JACK'S A JEWEL (7) over extra ground. |
| Race 7 | Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C1 - 520 | OPAWA JAY JAY (7) was last to jump. Into the first bend KNOW STYLE (1) checked outwards off heels with OPAWA KNOCKA (5) being forced wide as a result. MIDNIGHT ACTION (8) was then placed in restricted room between OPAWA KNOCKA and CANDID ANGEL (6). |
| Race 8 | Fast Archer At Stud Dash - C1 - 295 | JINNO GINO (5) was checked by RAPAKI KATH (6) in the initial stages and dropped to the rear. Soon after KINLOCH ACTION (8) and RAPAKI KATH came together for a stride. Into the bend KINLOCH ACTION and ZIPPORA BLAZE (7) collided and lost ground. JINNO GINO was pushed wide when improving on the bend. OHOKA HOPE (2) shifted up the track on the home turn pushing CRYSTALL MCBELL (4) over extra ground. JINNO GINO and OHOKA HOPE both raced wide in the home straight. KINLOCH ACTION was referred to the vet for assessment following this event and found to have no abnormalities. |
| Race 9 | Coalgate Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295 | TILT (7) ran inwards in the early stages pushing REDLINE ACTION (6) and TIMELY REMINDER (5) down the track and causing BELLWAVE (4) to be tightened. TIMELY REMINDER was checked into the bend when racing in restricted room with PIECE (8) being hampered on its outside. Soon after TILT crossed inwards and was dragged down by MAX BRAINSTRAIN (1) which then ran outwards causing BROOKE DAVIS (2), TIMELY REMINDER and REDLINE ACTION to be forced to take evasive action and lose ground. MAX BRAINSTRAIN was forced wide on the home turn. TILT was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. |
| Race 10 | Greyhounds As Pets Stakes - C1 - 520 | NICKY NOIR (5) ran inwards checking LIGNITE GIRL (2) in the run to the first bend. MAGIC DOZER (9) shifted up the track on the first bend pushing JINJA ROMAN (7) over extra ground. LAGOON MYTYE (6) raced wide around the home turn. MAGIC DOZER again ran wide into the home straight pushing LIGNITE GIRL wider on the track. |
| Race 11 | Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295 | MIDNIGHT SPRITE (7) weighed in 4.1 kgs under its last race weight with the trainer and on course veterinary surgeon both satisfied with the condition of the dog. HIGH ON VEE (1) was a clear last at the jump. GREET THE JUDGE (4) and BADUZZI (5) were both tightened into the bend after receiving pressure from GIGANAIRE (3) and VERBATIM (8). OPAWA BUCKS EYE (2) ran inwards tightening HIGH ON VEE into the bend with this pair dropping to the rear. Both runners were referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury. GIGANAIRE ran outwards in the home straight. OPAWA BUCKS EYE raced wide over the concluding stages. |
| Race 12 | Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Stakes - C1 - 520 | BIG JOHN CANON (7) was tightened in the early stages and settled last. BIG JOHN CANON raced wide in the back straight. JINJA HEART (8) ran outwards in the home straight. BIG JOHN CANON was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have cramped up with no stand down recommended. |
| Race 13 | Chris & Lisa Earl Dash - C1 - 295 | DEFINER (6) ran inwards in the early stages causing tightening to MARK BE GOOD (5) and WALLY BAXTER (3). JACKPOT JAKE (7) then angled inwards into the bend as VAN GERWIN (1) ran marginally outwards with OPAWA VIV (9), WALLY BAXTER and MARK BE GOOD all receiving tightening. JACKPOT JAKE and DEFINER were dragged down into the bend. VAN GERWIN ran outwards from in behind these runners causing checks to MARK BE GOOD, DEFINER and JACKPOT JAKE with this trio losing their chances. On the home turn CHICAGO BLACK angled inwards causing BIG MUDDY (4) to check outwards off its heels. MARK BE GOOD, DEFINER and JACKPOT JAKE were referred to the vet for assessment with DEFINER found to have a laceration to a stifle. |
| Race 14 | Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C1 - 295 | COLERIDGE JIM (9) ran outwards in the back straight checking PETRA HAKA (5) for a stride. HYPERPARADISE (6) was held up for room at this stage. COLERIDGE JIM and HOMEBUSH JUSTINE (8) came together for a stride on the home turn as COLERIDGE JIM ran outwards. |
| Race 15 | Mac Developments Dash - C1 - 295 | BELFAST EEJIT (5) and PEYTON SAWYER (7) were the last pair on jumping and then came together for a stride. On the home turn UNO MARGUERITE (2) ran outwards coming together with JEWEL APACHE (4) and becoming unbalanced with BELFAST EEJIT being forced wider on the track. |
