| Race 1 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C0 - 318 | DANDY STAR (9) and WATCH THAT GYPSY (5) were last to leave the boxes. GOT TIME (2) began awkwardly then shifted out making contact with BEE LITCHER (3). Soon after the start DANDY STAR, WATCH THAT GYPSY and JUMP ON IT (6) came together with these runners then further hampered when OUR SWIFT BUDDY (7) shifted in making contact and BEE LITCHER shifted out coming together with these runners. Entering the first turn BEE LITCHER shifted in making contact with the running rail on several occasions. GOT TIME and OUR SWIFT BUDDY came together making the first bend and again entering the final straight. SCOTT THE LOOT (1) shifted out off heels rounding the final bend. DANDY STAR shifted out coming together with WATCH THAT GYPSY in the final straight. CORUBA KATE (8) raced wide throughout. BEE LITCHER was referred to the veterinarian with no abnormality detected. |
| Race 2 | Carol's TABS Stakes - C1 - 527 | MATALINO TWIST (6) was slow away and was then further inconvenienced losing ground when tightened between RAMAH REASON (5) and MONTANA (7) soon after the start. MONTANA then shifted in making contact with CONTEMPORANEOUS (4). MISS VOTCHKA (8) angled in entering the first turn making contact with CONTEMPORANEOUS who was taken in onto WHO ROCKS (1). At the same time JETSUN LORD JON (3) angled out hampering MONTANA, who got on this runners heels shifting in as a result into the line of RAMAH REASON who was checked shifting out making contact with MATALINO TWIST. WHO ROCKS and CONTEMPORANEOUS came together rounding the bend entering the back straight. |
| Race 3 | Stitiches Upholstery Sprint - C1 - 318 | TEPIRITA AMBER (5) was last to leave the boxes. WILD FALCON (1) made contact with the hindquarters of CABALLE (2) for several strides racing down the back straight. WHERE'S CARLOS (4) got on the heels of TRIPLE PARKED (6) briefly when racing toward the first turn. Entering the first turn TEPIRITA AMBER and WHERE'S CARLOS came together shifting in making contact with WILD FALCON with these runners losing momentum. As a result WHERE'S CARLOS became unbalanced losing ground and LOCHINVAR BELLE (7) shifted wide to avoid these runners losing ground. Rounding the bend TEPIRITA AMBER shifted in tightening WILD FALCON who had to steady and shift out off this runners heels losing ground. |
| Race 4 | McGhie Plumbing Sprint - C2 - 318 | STAINLESS KNOCKA (1) was slow away. LADY JANE (4) stumbled leaving the boxes. Soon after the start WAERENGA STAR (6) angled in tightening OPAWA UNO (5), LADY JANE (4) and YOU BETCHA NODDY (2) with LADY JANE and OPAWA UNO then shifting out. ZULU MERCEDES (3) got on the heels of LADY JANE for several strides racing down the back straight with both runners losing ground. YOU BETCHA NODDY (2) and SACRED CAN YOU (7) came together racing into the first bend losing ground. Entering the first turn OPAWA UNO shifted in making contact with STAINLESS KNOCKA with these runners then shifting wide on the track losing ground. Rounding the bend OPAWA UNO angled in coming together with ZULU MERCEDES with these runners then shifting very wide entering the final straight losing ground. |
| Race 5 | DogZone Sprint - C1 - 318 | HIGH CALIBRE (2) and OUR SAMBO (3) came together leaving the boxes. ATOMIC RUSH (8) was slow away. Soon after the start SCREAMING SKULL (6) was tightened and checked losing ground between HANNIBAL LECTER (7) and AGENT SCHRADER (9). Racing into the first turn MISS BUNNYTHORPE (4) shifted in slightly making contact with EVA KANEVA (1) with these runners briefly unbalanced and the hindquarters of MISS BUNNYTHORPE turning out slightly into the line of HANNIBAL LECTER who then became awkwardly placed on this runners heels and fell. Hampered as a result of the fallen runner were ATOMIC RUSH, SCREAMING SKULL and OUR SAMBO. HANNIBAL LECTER regained its footing to finish the event some distance from the field with a post race veterinary examination revealing no obvious abnormality. EVA KANEVA was showing signs of lameness following this event with the veterinarian finding pain in the right wrist with a 14 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 6 | Trophies Plus Sprint - C2/3 - 318 | OPAWA DARCEE (1), NINJANGO (6) and LE ROI (8) were last to leave the boxes. MADE TIME (4) began awkwardly losing ground. LE ROI angled in racing down the back straight inconveniencing NINJANGO before coming together with MADE TIME. These runners then continued to make contact racing into the first turn with MADE TIME then shifting in into the line of OPAWA DARCEE who was checked. |
| Race 7 | Sel's TAB Mangere Stakes - C1 - 527 | HERSCHKE (4) and LOCKETT IN EDDIE (5) came together soon after the start with HERSCHKE then shifting in making contact with ATOMIC LASS (3). LOCKETT IN EDDIE and WHAT THAT DOES (6) came together and jostled for several strides racing toward the first turn with WHAT THAT DOES losing ground. ILLICIT TWIST (2) and ATOMIC LASS (3) came together entering the first turn with HERSCHKE then making contact with the hindquarters of ATOMIC LASS becoming unbalanced losing ground shifting out onto WHAT THAT DOES. As a result ATOMIC LASS was unbalanced shifting out making contact with LOCKETT IN EDDIE who was inconvenienced. PODIUM BONUS (7) shifted in rounding the first bend making contact with ILLICIT TWIST. ILLICIT TWIST received veterinary treatment for a laceration above the left eye following this event with no stand down required. |
| Race 8 | MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C1 - 318 | CALM NUSKA (6), SKYLER WHITE (5), COOL TIME (4), THRILLING WIGGLE (3), IT'S THE DREAM (2) and ENGLISH HONEY (1) came together racing down the back straight and continued to make contact entering the first turn losing ground with IT'S THE DREAM, THRILLING WIGGLE and COOL TIME the worst affected. Rounding the bend IT'S THE DREAM made brief contact with the running rail with a subsequent veterinary examination revealing no abnormality. |
| Race 9 | NZ Racing Series Advanced Final $25K Terminating Pick6 - NZRSf - 527 | OPAWA DIESEL (4) was slow away. MISS VELOCETTE (3) began awkwardly. Entering the first turn MISS VELOCETTE angled in into the line of PROPHECY (1) who then shifted out making contact with JESSE PINKMAN (6). Rounding the first turn PROPHECY was tightened and checked losing ground between OPAWA DIESEL and JESSE PINKMAN. |
| Race 10 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C4 - 318 | DRURY (6) proved difficult to load into the boxes and will now be on observation for its immediate future starts. HALLO STAR (2) and GOOD RETURN (7) were last to leave the boxes. DRURY, WHISPER MAGIC (5), ARMISTICE DAY (4) and BAYMAX (3) came together soon after the start. DRURY made contact with the hindquarters of LITTLE DREAMS (1) for a distance racing toward the first turn with these runners losing ground. WHISPER MAGIC and DRURY came together rounding the final bend. LITTLE DREAMS raced wide rounding the final bend and into the final straight. |
| Race 11 | Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | Soon after the start THRILLING EVEI (6) shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of GOT AIR (5). YAP'S ME MUM (4) and MAKING YOU PAW (9) came together soon after leaving the boxes. Entering the first turn GOT AIR angled in into the line of MAKING YOU PAW who was checked shifting out off this runners heels hampering JELLY GEM (7) and THRILLING CARTER (8). WINTERFELL (1) and LUCKY COLLECT (2) came together rounding the first turn. YAP'S ME MUM had to steady off heels entering the bend leaving the back straight. |
| Race 12 | Lochinvar Marlow Sprint - C4/5 - 318 | TEE KAY YAPPER (2), FRESCO STAR (3), VINTAGE OSTI (5) and STYLISH FANCY (8) were last to leave the boxes. TEE KAY YAPPER and FRESCO STAR came together soon after the start. FRESCO STAR shifted in entering the first turn making contact with the running rail becoming badly unbalanced shifting out hampering VINTAGE OSTI who was also badly unbalanced with these runners losing considerable ground. Rounding the first turn CORTEZ FLYER (1) shifted out off the heels of THRILLING GALAXY (7), who had shifted in, making solid contact with TEE KAY YAPPER with CORTEZ FLYER becoming badly unbalanced and falling. As a result TEE KAY YAPPER shifted out making contact with STYLISH FANCY (8) with these runners then racing wide for a distance. CORTEZ FLYER was referred to the veterinarian for assessment with right hock pain detected and a 14 day stand down imposed. FRESCO STAR underwent a post race veterinary examination with a laceration to the left thigh detected and a 7 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 13 | Image Apparel Sprint - C2/3 - 318 | MELMAN (2) and SANDOR GLEGANE (3) were slow away. KISSEN RUN (8) angled in soon after the start tightening OPAWA VENUS (7), MISS UNIVERSE (6), ROCKIN' FANCY (5) and MR. MUMBLES (4) with these runners all coming together, contributing was outward movement from CYCLONE LUSI (1). As a result MISS UNIVERSE lost considerable ground going back onto SANDOR GLEGANE who was hampered losing ground. MR. MUMBLES, ROCKIN' FANCY, OPAWA VENUS and KISSEN RUN continued to make contact racing into the first turn with these runners losing ground OPAWA VENUS and KISSEN RUN the worst affected. |
| Race 14 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318 | RED RASCAL (5) was slow away. ASTA (3) and FORTIS FIONA (4) came together and jostled for a distance racing down the back straight with FORTIS FIONA losing ground. FRANKINCENSE (1) and LEGATO BAY (2) came together and jostled racing down the back straight with FRANKINCENSE losing ground entering the first turn going back onto the hindquarters of FORTIS FIONA becoming badly unbalanced and falling. Rounding the first turn CALZINI (8) angled in making contact with SONIC ATTACK (7) and KAPAI LANA (6) who were inconvenienced. FRANKINCENSE regained its footing to finish the race some distance from the field. FRANKINCENSE was referred to the veterinarian with no abnormality detected. |
