| Race 1 | WELCOME TO HATRICK C2 - C2 - 520 | OPAWA KEVIN and CAWBOURNE LOCH were the slowest to begin and settled back. OPAWA KEVIN was then hampered going into the first bend when easing off the heels of COUNTRY CROSSING and he stayed back for the remainder of the race. CAWBOURNE LOCH checked off the back of CAWBOURNE GRACIE going into the first bend and they both lost ground. COUNTRY CROSSING and INDEFINITE ORDER bumped together going into the back straight and INDEFINITE ORDER lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 2 | ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 FINAL - C1f - 520 | One of the favourites ABSINTHE MINDED began awkwardly losing three lengths. RUBBED OUT shifted in going into the first bend and hampered I'M A CATCH and OPAWA SHAYand they went back to the rear. OPAWA SHAY recovered well to make up ground and finished in 3rd place. |
| Race 3 | AON CPF C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | BYE BYE MYSTERY and SEDGEBROOK BABE were the slowest to begin and settled back. SEDGEBROOK BABE made up ground well and finished in 3rd place. SEDGEBROOK BABE shifted in going to the first corner and hampered BYE BYE MYSTERY for a stride and BYE BYE MYSTERY then made contact with ALL IN BERLIN which was unbalanced, lost ground and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 4 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | LONE STAR LAD wanted to race away from the rail going to the first corner and jostled with SENORITA TINA for a short distance until SENORITA TINA was checked losing ground. LONE STAR LAD then jostled with SHADOW APATCHE until that runner was also checked losing three lengths. SENORITA TINA and HOMEBUSH RAMONA jostled together for a short distance on the bend and HOMEBUSH RAMONA suffered the most in the incident and she dropped back to last and finished in that position. |
| Race 5 | KEENAN CONCRETE C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | KNOW MENTION checked off the back of RITZA DANNY going into the first bend and and shifted out forcing CHECK THE MAIL, WHO DAT BOY and ALLMENDINGER wide into the bend over extra ground with WHO DAT BOY the most affected and and he lost several lengths and tailed the field from there until the finish. |
| Race 6 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | HOMEBUSH HANSOME checked off the back of CAWBOURNE PHILLIP going into the back straight and shifted out causing a check to FAST RIGBY which fell. OPAWA JACKIE was unable avoid FAST RIGBY and was brought down but regained her feet and finished onto the lure. FAST RIGBY was quickly captured and took no further part in the race and both were referred to the Vet for assessment. OPAWA JACKIE was found to have suffered a metatarsal laceration and FAST RIGBY suffered bruising and grazing to the left hind leg. |
| Race 7 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4 - C4 - 520 | General tightening going to the first corner resulted in ROLEX ROO, KNOW ANSWER and KNOW LAPSE being tightened and losing ground. A short distance further on, ROLEX ROO, KNOW ANSWER and KNOW HERO jostled together, became briefly unbalanced losing ground. ROLEX ROO recovered the best of the affected runners and made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. CHASING THE LINE was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a metacarpal laceration. |
| Race 8 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C3 - C3 - 305 | VARGA FROST, HAPPY WIFE and CAWBOURNE GEORGE jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and they lost ground with HAPPY WIFE going back to the rear. A short distance further on, LAGOON MAC and BOX OF FLUFFIES bumped together losing momentum and HAPPY WIFE then shifted out across their line and they lost further ground and finished well back. WINFIELD WINTER led into the bend but then began to drift back through the field and finished several lengths last. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a gracilis muscle injury. |
| Race 9 | ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL WANGANUI OAKS R/A FINAL - R/Af - 520 | ELECTRIC IMPULSE was the slowest to begin and she settled back. One of the favourites CAWBOURNE CLOVER was awkwardly placed in restricted room soon after the start and settled back. She then raced wide over extra ground on the bend and was not able to make up ground and finished in last place. |
| Race 10 | LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI DERBY R/A FINAL - R/Af - 520 | HOMEBUSH SPOOK and KNOW DECISION were hampered soon after the start when runners either side shifted ground and they settled back. LONESOME NITRO and ARCTIC ACTION jostled together for a short distance on the first bend and they were unbalanced and lost three lengths. |
| Race 11 | FIRST SECURITY C4 - C4 - 305 | EMBEE DEE was away well from the boxes to be handy going to the first corner but was not able to hold her position and when being passed by another runner was bumped, went back to the rear and stayed there until the finish. ANOTHER MISS was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pectoral muscle pain. |
