Judicial report: Trainer M Robinson was fined $200.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting two breaches of Rule 69.11 when CONALOO (1.7kgs) and SLINGO (1.6kgs) both weighed in above their last race performance weights on 2 October and 6 October respectively.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	OUR JOHN (4), BIZARRO (5) and LUCAS SCOTT (6) were the last trio on jumping. MAGIC GINA (7) ran inwards coming together with BLAZING HOT (3) which had run outwards in the early stages. THESEUS (8) ran wide around the bend. BLAZING HOT and LUCAS SCOTT both raced wide in the home straight.
Race 2	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C1 - 520	SPINE CHILLING (1) and OPAWA GAVIN (2) were the last pair to jump. UNOVA BALE (4) received a check in the run to the first bend and lost ground. RUSHCUTER ACTION (3) ran outwards into the first bend clipping the hind quarters of LEKTRA SPIDER (8) for a stride. KNOW WORTH (5) raced wide around the first bend and for the remainder of the race. OPAWA GAVIN ran wide in the back straight.
Race 3	DogZone Dash - C1 - 295	HOORAY FOR HAZEL (3) was last to jump. BRANDISH (1) ran outwards into the bend hampering HOORAY FOR HAZEL, TERRA ALERT (4) and ROSA GALLICA (10). GIGANAIRE (7) was checked and ran outwards on the bend. On the home turn TERRA ALERT ran inwards checking ROSA GALLICA which lost ground. GIGANAIRE and BRANDISH both raced wide in the home straight.
Race 4	Fast Archer At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520	STAR APACHE (4), TEPIRITA RATA (6) and OPAWA MINSTREL (8) were the slowest from the traps. STAR APACHE and TEPIRITA RATA were both forced a touch wide into the bend and came together for a stride. At the entrance to the back straight MC LOVIN' (3) angled outwards with STAR APACHE and TEPIRITA RATA again receiving a check. MIDNIGHT ACTION (5) raced wide in the back straight. RAPAKI KATH (1) shifted up the track in the run home. Co-Trainer J Lane, when questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner OPAWA MINSTREL, stated that the dog does not appreciate being crowded in its races and today was able to have clear room throughout from its outside draw.
Race 5	Power Farming Canterbury Sprint - C1 - 295	OHOKA BILLY (4) was last to jump. PATCHWORK ALICE (7) ran inwards in the back straight causing tightening to SLINGO (3) and GOLDSTAR CHYNA (2). VERBATIM (5) was checked on the bend and lost ground with OHOKA BILLY and OPAWA VIV (1) both being hampered in behind and GOLDSTAR CHYNA being forced wide around these runners. VERBATIM was then checked and ran outwards on the home turn after being placed in restricted room. OPAWA VIV ran inwards contacting SLINGO just short of the line. SLINGO and VERBATIM were both referred to the vet for assessment and found to be free of injury.
Race 6	Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C1 - 520	WHAT I LIKE (6) was last on settling. GOLDSTAR COCO (5) was badly tightened into the first bend and lost ground with WHAT I LIKE being forced wide around this runner. RAEWYN (3) checked outwards off the heels of KNOW THANKS (4) into the first bend with SOLSTICE (8) and WHAT I LIKE being hampered. KNOW THANKS raced wide in the back straight. GOLDSTAR COCO checked outwards off the back of JINJA BILLY (7) on the home turn with KNOW THANKS forced wider on the track.
Race 7	Yella Mustard At Stud Dash - C1 - 295	OHOKA STRIKA (4) and JINJA WILLY (6) were the last pair on jumping. JINJA WILLY shifted outwards when improving on the home turn pushing THAT'S A WRAP (7) wider on the track. MANDI MAE (5) raced wide in the home straight. Trainer B Pringle advised Stewards that SMASHIN' TIME (8) has now been retired from racing.
Race 8	Barron's Supplies Stakes - C1 - 520	LUMINARY (7) was very awkwardly away and settled a clear last. Into the first bend PLUTONIUM (8) ran inwards causing COUNTRY CROSSING (5) to place pressure on LONG STOCKINGS (3) which lost ground. LUMINARY was then unable to avoid LONG STOCKINGS with LONG STOCKINGS being dragged down and falling. LUMINARY lost its chance in this incident. LONG STOCKINGS regained her paws and completed the race before being checked and cleared by the vet post race. COUNTRY CROSSING raced wide in the back straight.
Race 9	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295	MAX BRAINSTRAIN (3) was slow to jump. SONNY WILL (1) stumbled and fell shortly after the start quickly regaining his paws and completing the race with this dog being checked and cleared by the vet post race. MAX BRAINSTRAIN was held up for room and lost momentum into the bend.
Race 10	Sozin's Comet At Stud Dash - C1 - 295	OUT BACK BILL (6) was a shade slow to jump. HAT TRICK CHAOS (9) lost ground into the bend after MORNING GYPSY (3) ran inwards. BOSTON MONA (7) ran wide at this stage. MORNING GYPSY ran outwards on the home turn pushing LIN BAXTER (8) wider on the track. UNO MARGUERITE (4) ran very wide in the home straight.
Race 11	Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Stakes - C1 - 520	WITH PRIDE (8) was very slow to jump. MAUDIE'S BABE (5) ran inwards in the early stages causing tightening to KNOW CLOWN (4), ELWOOD SENSATION (3) and JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (2). Into the first bend KNOW CLOWN was checked and blundered for a stride when racing to the outside of ELWOOD SENSATION. WITH PRIDE was held up for room when improving at the end of the back straight. ELWOOD SENSATION raced wide in the back straight and around the home turn. Following this event JIBBAJABBA JEWEL and KNOW CLOWN were referred to the vet for assessment with JIBBAJABBA JEWEL found to have a toe ligament injury.
Race 12	C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295	MISS FANNING (7) was slow to jump. FLIBERTY JIBERTY (3) ran inwards pushing SKILLZ TAYLOR (1) down the track in the early stages. MISS FANNING clipped the heels of ZIPPORA BLAZE (2) into the bend and lost ground with GOLDSTAR BOMBER (5) badly inconvenienced and ANOTHER RUSS (6) pushed wider on the track as a result. GOLDSTAR BOMBER then angled outwards on the home turn pushing MISS FANNING and SKILLZ TAYLOR over extra ground. MOBILIZE (8) got under the rail at the lure and was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. Trainer J Tanner was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner MOBILIZE. She stated that since joining her kennel the dog has thrived in its new surroundings and has had a significant weight decrease. Ms Tanner added that the dog trialled well last week and she was expecting a forward run today.
Race 13	The Turf Bar Dash - C1 - 295	WALLY BAXTER (1) was last to jump. WALLY BAXTER and GOLDSTAR MAGIC (6) both lost ground into the bend after being tightened. OPAWA CRUSADE (7) ran inwards into the bend tightening SAM'S FLYIN NORM (5) and PAGINI (4). Trainer M Dempsey stated to Stewards that the improved run today was due to the dog being able to jump cleanly from its handy draw and not suffer from the interference that has been prevalent in its recent starts.
Race 14	Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C1 - 295	COLERIDGE JIM (1) was a shade slow to jump. CULVIE GODFATHER (6), MEGA SURGE (2) and COLERIDGE JIM were all tightened into the bend. OHOKA HOPE (4) was checked and ran outwards into the bend pushing KINLOCH SILVER (8) wider on the track and checking the trailing KNOW STRUGGLE (7) which then raced wide around the home turn. CULVIE GODFATHER was referred to the vet for assessment and found to be free of injury. Trainer B Dann, when questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner CANDID ANGEL (3), reported that the bitch had received chequered runs of late and today received a clear run in its first attempt over a sprint distance.
Race 15	Livamol Dash - C1 - 295	OPAL JEWEL (7) was last to jump. UNO JAMES (6) ran outwards in the back straight checking OPAL JEWEL and QUATTRO (8). SASHA MCBELL (5) received a check when racing in tight quarters on the bend. UNO JAMES raced wide on the home turn.
