Judicial report: At a Judical hearing at Addington on 17 September 2015, trainer M Dempsey admitted a breach of Rule 86.1 in that he failed to present OUTBACK BILL free of a prohibited substance in Race 8 at the Christchurch GRC meeting held on 31 July 2015. Mr Dempsey was fined the sum of $2,500 and OUTBACK BILL was disqualified from 1st.

Race 1	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 1 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1	SPINE CHILLING (6) was last to jump. BENJAMIN BLACK (2) ran inwards in the early stages tightening MC LOVING (1) which dropped to the rear. MC LOVING remained a clear last throughout and was referred to the vet for assessment where it was found to be suffering from wrist soreness. OPAWA TOMMO (7) ran wide on the first bend after making contact with OPAWA CRUSADE (3) to its inside. KNOW CLOWN (4) raced wide in the home straight.
Race 2	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 2 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2	MAUDIE'S BABE (5) ran inwards in the early stages checking KNOW SCHOLAR (3) for a stride. KNOW SCHOLAR then shifted inwards placing OPAWA VIV (2) and HOMEBUSH CORAL (1) in restricted room. JINJA PISTOL (4) ran wide around the first bend after checking outwards off heels. UNO MARGUERITE (8) raced wide around the first bend and in the back straight.
Race 3	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	BHUJA (4) ran inwards in the back straight causing severe tightening to COSMIC CHELSEA (3), MEMPHIS GIRL (2) and GRAYSON BLUE (1). Soon after ANOTHER GROOM (6) ran inwards coming together with HAYLEY JAMES (5). ANOTHER GROOM then dropped out badly hampering COSMIC CHELSEA with ANOTHER GROOM finishing a distant last. ANOTHER GROOM was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have hip and hock soreness.
Race 4	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 3 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 3	LUMINARY (8) was last to jump. OPAWA LARRY (4) ran outwards in the early stages checking HAVANA STOGIE (10) for a stride. NINA BAXTER (3) shifted inwards in the run to the first bend checking KNOW THANKS (2) and placing GOLDSTAR COCO (1) in restricted room. KNOW THANKS ran outwards into the first bend pushing OPAWA LARRY and HAVANA STOGIE over extra ground. GOLDSTAR COCO checked outwards off the heels of OPAWA LARRY on the first bend.
Race 5	Hampden Tavern Dash - C1 - 295	LUCAS SCOTT (2) was a late scratching at 9am with a swollen wrist. GOLDSTAR MAGIC (5) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. FILANTE (8) was last on settling. EL GRAND SHADOW (9) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. KNOW FAULT (10) received a check on the bend when racing in tight quarters and lost ground. FILANTE was then forced to check outwards off the heels of the checked KNOW FAULT.
Race 6	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 4 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 4	AL'S ROADIE (10) and GOOD GIRL NINA (2) were both very slow to jump. KNOW STYLE (7) ran wide around the first bend. OPAWA GAVIN (5) raced wide in the back straight. PATCHWORK ALICE (8) stopped quickly in the shadows of the post with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury although was showings signs of tying up. Trainer B Dann advised Stewards that PATCHWORK ALICE would not be starting over a middle distance on a two turn track in the immediate future.
Race 7	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C1 - 295	OUR JOHN (3), PEYTON SAWYER (4) and MORNING GYPSY (9) were the last trio on jumping. WALLY BAXTER (7) was checked into the bend and lost ground. OUR JOHN ran outwards on the home turn pushing GOLDSTAR CHYNA (6) and KENNY'S COMET (8) over extra ground.
Race 8	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 5 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 5	JINNO GINO (9) was very slow to jump. On the first bend ANOTHER BELLE (1) checked outwards off heels forcing BELIEVE (6), OPAWA SHILOH (7) and JINNO GINO wider on the track. JINNO GINO ran very wide and tailed off after this incident with this runner being referred to the vet for assessment. This check revealed no injuries with Trainer J McMillan advising that JINNO GINO failed to see out the middle distance, adding that this dog would be restricted to sprints in its immediate starts. FEKITOA (10) and WHAT I LIKE (4) came together on the home turn with FEKITOA losing some momentum. KNOW ENERGY (2) ran wide in the home straight.
Race 9	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 6 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 6	HOMEBUSH HANSOME (4) and SKILLZ TAYLOR (8) were the last pair on jumping. LIGNITE GIRL (6) was tightened between runners in the early stages after KNOW LAUGHING (5) had run outwards. KNOW LAUGHING and UNO BRENT (7) came together into the first bend and lost momentum. As a result SKILLZ TAYLOR was forced wide and LIGNITE GIRL held up in behind. KNOW LAUGHING ran wide in the back straight and again on the home turn. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner SOLSTICE (3), trainer B Dann attributed this to a brief freshen up and the return to Addington where the bitch has raced well before.
Race 10	N.Z. Racing Series Novice Heat 7 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 7	KNOW JUDGE (1) and TEPIRITA RATA (10) were the last pair on jumping. GOLDSTAR PO (6) was checked after running outwards in the early stages losing ground. With a lap to run KNOW JUDGE struck the rail and dropped to the rear where the dog remained throughout. A post race veterinary check revealed a laeration to a leg which required sutures. GOLDSTAR PO was tightened into the first bend and ran outwards pushing TEPIRITA RATA very wide. CRYSTALL MCBELL (7) ran wide in the back straight losing ground.
Race 11	C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295	FOXY BABE (1) and THRILLING ECHO (4) were the last pair on jumping. BIGTIME TIP (3) ran outwards in the early stages checking KINGMAN (5) and BOSTON MONA (6). THESEUS (7) and PAGINI (8) came together in the back straight. PAGINI lost ground on the bend after running inwards and coming together with THESEUS. BOSTON MONA then checked outwards off the heels of PAGINI. THESEUS ran wide on the home turn.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C1 - 295	KENTARO BAXTER (8) dropped to the rear in the early stages after colliding with STAR APACHE (6) and CANDYBOY (7). KENTARO BAXTER remained a clear last and was referred to the vet for assessment where mild wrist pain was detected. In the back straight SKETCHY STEVE (3) ran inwards checking MAX BRAINSTRAIN (1). MAX BRAINSTRAIN ran wide in the home straight.
