Judicial report: 1. Trainer J McInerney was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 when not arranging enough catchers at the conclusion of Race 3. 2. Trainer L Waretini was reminded of her obligation to comply with the dress code of the Christchurch GRC after catching her runner at the conclusion of Race 11.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	OHOKA TOO SOON (6) was a shade slow to jump. COLERIDGE JIM (1) ran outwards in the early stages contacting CANDYBOY (2) and falling. COLERIDGE JIM completed the race and was cleared of injury by the veterinary surgeon. KYLA ROSE (3) lost ground into the bend when crossed by TECHNIC (4). CANDYBOY angled outwards on the bend pushing BLAZING HOT (7) and OUR JOHN (8) over extra ground. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner EL GRAND SHADOW (5), Co-Trainer B Evans stated that the bitch had been freshened and was reverting back to its favoured sprint distance today. Mrs Evans added that EL GRAND SHADOW would be restricted to sprint racing in its immediate engagements.
Race 2	Happy Birthday Kirsty Taylor Sprint - C1 - 295	EUG THE SCROOGE (2) and CAWBOURNE CRUZE (4) were the last pair on settling. HAT TRICK CHAOS (5) lost ground into the bend after receiving some tightening. MORNING GYPSY (6) and OPAWA VIV (8) bumped for a stride on the bend. EUG THE SCROOGE was forced wide when improving on the home turn.
Race 3	Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520	WITH PRIDE (6) and SKILLZ TAYLOR (7) were both slow to jump. HOMEBUSH NAKI (3) was tightened into the first bend and ran outwards checking OPAWA SHILOH (2) and pushing WHAT I LIKE (4), WITH PRIDE and SKILLZ TAYLOR over extra ground. OPAWA CRUSADE (1) checked outwards off heels on that bend pushing CRYSTALL MCBELL (8) wider. WITH PRIDE and WHAT I LIKE came together at the entrance to the back straight. OPAWA SHILOH switched wider on the home turn to obtain racing room.
Race 4	DogZone Dash - C1 - 295	OHOKA STRIKA (3) was a clear last at the jump. SCREW AND BOLT (5) ran sharply inwards in the early stages checking OPAWA LAZ (4) and HOORAY FOR HAZEL (2). OPAWA LAZ dropped out into the bend finishing a long last with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment. OPAWA LAZ was found to have a torn achilles tendon.
Race 5	Business Time At Stud Sprint - C1 - 295	TIMELY REMINDER (1) and COSMIC CHELSEA (3) were both very slow from the traps. TOKEN JUMP (2) lost ground into the bend after being badly tightened between LA FONTAINE (5) and COSMIC CHELSEA which was attempting to improve to its inside. In the home straight MEMPHIS GIRL (8) shifted up the track checking TIMELY REMINDER.
Race 6	Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520	SPINE CHILLING (2) was a clear last on jumping. UNO MARGUERITE (4) shifted up the track in the early stages placing OPAWA GUMISIE (6) and LUMINARY (7) in restricted room. UNO MARGUERITE was then badly tightened into the first bend with CAWBOURNE KITT (5), LUMINARY, SPINE CHILLING and HIP HOP SOFIA (8) all checked as a result. HIP HOP SOFIA was dragged down in this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. UNO MARGUERITE and LUMINARY both ran wide in the back straight and around the home turn.
Race 7	Little Brown Jug Dash - C1 - 295	MR. NOVEMBER (7) was a shade slow from the traps. TRACEY (3) was tightened and lost ground into the bend with the trailing CAWBOURNE TICK (4) badly held up in behind. SUMMER LOVE (5) and MR. NOVEMBER both raced wide around the home turn.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	WILL EXCITE (3), SALLY (6) and ROBBIE MCBELL (9) were all slow to begin. FOXY BABE (7) ran inwards in the early stages checking CAWBOURNE CLOCK (4) and contacting the hind quarters of ROSA GALLICA (2) which lost momentum. WILL EXCITE and CAWBOURNE CLOCK were both held up on the turn with ROBBIE MCBELL receiving a check as WILL EXCITE attempted to shift off the rails.
Race 9	C0/C1d Angler's Arms Tavern Distance - C1d - 645	STICH UP (5) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. GOLDSTAR COCO (8) was very slow to jump with OPAWA TANIA (1) also tardily away. OPAWA PAUL (7) came together with KNOW WORTH (4) and ran wide losing ground into the first bend. KNOW WORTH raced wide in the early and middle stages. On the home turn OPAWA GAVIN (3) ran outwards pushing OPAWA TANIA over extra ground.
Race 10	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C1 - 295	SHAKAYLA ROSE (7) dropped to the rear in the early stages after BHUJA (8) had run inwards and made contact. BHUJA continued to run inwards checking GOLDSTAR CHYNA (6) and CULVIE GODFATHER (5) before contacting the hind quarters of PAGINI (4) with that runner losing ground. SHAKAYLA ROSE raced wide around the home turn. When questioned in regards to the form reversal of the winner HOMEBUSH RILEY (2), kennel representative J McInerney Jnr stated that the dog had received little luck in recent races and a return to a favoured inside box today worked in its favour.
Race 11	Hampden Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520	BENJAMIN BLACK (8) was very hard to box in this event and will continue to be boxed first in future starts. GOOD GIRL NINA (7) was very slow to jump. OPAWA LARRY (4) and HOMEBUSH CORAL (5) came together in the early stages. THESEUS (1) attempted to run outwards into the first bend and in doing so was turned sideways when contacting OPAWA TOMMO (2). This caused THESEUS to be unbalanced and continue to run wide forcing BENJAMIN BLACK and GOOD GIRL NINA to be forced very wide and lose ground. THESEUS and GOOD GIRL NINA continued to run wide thereafter. On the home turn JINJA BILLY (6) checked outwards off the heels of the pace making ANOTHER BELLE (3) and lost momentum.
Race 12	Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Sprint - C1 - 295	SACAJAWEA (1), UNO JAMES (2) and HOMEBUSH CRASH (7) were the last trio on settling. DEFINER (5) ran inwards in the back straight dictating NOT SO CUTE (4) and ZULU DEB (3) down the track. NOT SO CUTE continued to angle inwards placing pressure on ZULU DEB with this bitch losing ground into the bend. UNO JAMES ran wide around the home turn.
