| Race 1 | MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C4 - 318 | SANDOR GLEGANE (9) was slow away. OUR JACK ATTACK (5) and ROTOVEGAS RARA (6) came together soon after the start. Racing toward the first turn SANDOR GLEGANE was inconvenienced having to steady when placed in restricted room to the inside of CALAMITY FREE (3). Entering the first turn LITTLE RASCAL (8) angled in making contact with GOOD RETURN (4) with these runners both unbalanced with LITTLE RASCAL losing considerable ground. Inconvenienced as a result were SUPER ZIP ZIP (1), OUR JACK ATTACK and ROTOVEGAS RARA who all shifted out with OUR JACK ATTACK and ROTOVEGAS RARA then racing wide for the remainder of the event. SUPER ZIP ZIP then shifted in making contact with CALAMITY FREE. |
| Race 2 | Dogzone Sprint - C0 - 318 | DECEPTIVE LAD was a late scratching at 12.47pm on veterinary advice. OUR SWIFT BUDDY (7) was last to leave the boxes. YOU BETCHA GUFF (3) shifted out leaving the boxes hampering OUR SAMBO (4) who lost ground. Soon after JUMP ON IT (5) and PRINCELY COUNT (6) came together with these runners then shifting out making contact with OUR SWIFT BUDDY (7) and JACQUI ATTACK (8) who had come together. PRINCELY COUNT and OUR SAMBO came together on several occasions racing toward the first turn with these runners both becoming unbalanced losing ground. In the final straight YOU BETCHA GUFF shifted out slightly inconveniencing OUR SWIFT BUDDY who made contact with this runners hindquarters. |
| Race 3 | Carol's TAB Manurewa Stakes - C1 - 527 | BUSTER BLUTH (2) and WHAT THAT DOES (8) were slow away. HERSCHKE (6) shifted in leaving the boxes making contact with ELEPHANT TRUNK (5) with these runners then further hampered when OPAWA SPICE (7) angled in with ELEPHANT TRUNK then shifting in making contact with CAWBOURNE ROMAN (4). Entering the first turn BUSTER BLUTH shifted out inconveniencing CAWBOURNE ROMAN, ELEPHANT TRUNK and WHAT THAT DOES who all shifted wider losing ground. HERSCHKE shifted in making contact with the running rail for a stride rounding the first turn. Racing into the back straight BUSTER BLUTH shifted out off the heels of OPAWA SPICE taking CAWBOURNE ROMAN wider on the track with these runners losing ground. OPAWA SPICE and ZALIA (3) came together for a distance racing down the back straight racing wide on the track. BUSTER BLUTH raced wide rounding the final bend. HERSCHKE was referred to the veterinarian for assessment following this event with no abnormality detected. |
| Race 4 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C1 - 318 | TUNZA FUN (4) and TRINITY FLIGHT (7) were slow away. BELCROFT BANKER (8) shifted in abruptly soon after the start making solid contact with LADY JANE (5) with these runners both becoming unbalanced making brief contact with the hindquarters of AGENT SCHRADER (3) before shifting out. LADY JANE and BELCROFT BANKER then continued to make contact for a distance with LADY JANE losing ground entering the first turn when BELCROFT BANKER shifted in, getting on the heels of AGENT SCHRADER, before coming together with TUNZA FUN with these runners both becoming badly unbalanced with TUNZA FUN losing considerable ground. LADY JANE and TRINITY FLIGHT were inconvenienced losing ground as a result. Entering the first turn KIMETTO (1), WAERENGA STAR (2) and QUEEN STAR (6) came together with WAERENGA STAR and QUEEN STAR becoming badly unbalanced losing ground with WAERANGA STAR going back into the line of AGENT SCHRADER who made solid contact with this runner with both runners becoming unbalanced losing momentum with WAERENGA STAR then falling as a result. LADY JANE was inconvenienced as a result of the fallen runner. QUEEN STAR made brief contact with the running rail rounding the final bend. WAERENGA STAR was referred to the veterinarian following this event with no abnormality detected. A Post race veterinary examination of QUEEN STAR revealed pain in the left wrist with a 10 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 5 | Sel's TAB Mangere Sprint - C3 - 318 | UMAGA RAMA (5) began awkwardly and was then further inconvenienced losing ground when SOMETIME SOON (6) shifted in. Racing toward the first turn MR. MUMBLES (9) shifted out making contact with UMAGA RAMA for several strides before coming together with SOMETIME SOON for a distance. Entering the first turn EZ FERETTI (7), SOMETIME SOON, MR. MUMBLES and VERY CHILLY (2) came together with these runners then further hampered when ALDONZA (8) angled in tightening these runners with EZ FERETTI, SOMETIME SOON, MR MUMBLES and UMAGA RAMA, who was following, all becoming badly unbalanced losing ground with EZ FERETTI and UMAGA RAMA the worst affected. EZ FERETTI and UMAGA RAMA were referred to the veterinarian with no abnormalities detected. |
