| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295 | FIREMANS GALAXY (1) was last to jump. ILABB (7) ran sharply inwards in the early stages contacting the hind quarters of RICK'S TREASURE (6) and coming together with ONLY GOT TIME (4). HOMEBUSH SLINKY (5) was tightened into the bend losing ground and causing inconvenience to the trailing ONLY GOT TIME. On the home turn ILABB ran inwards colliding with ONLY GOT TIME with ILABB receiving a bad check and ONLY GOT TIME veering to the outside. ILABB was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury. |
| Race 2 | Ritchies Coachlines Dash - C3 - 295 | JINJA LUCA (5) was a clear last at the jump. QUEDRAGO (2) ran outwards in the early stages placing BATIATUS (3) in restricted room. VINCENT GALLO (7) ran inwards in the back straight with KNOW FAVOURS (6), BATIATUS and GLENN IS GOODSEY (4) being checked. BOTANY WIN (8) ran inwards into the bend checking GLENN IS GOODSEY. KNOW FAVOURS ran wide on the bend. ADROIT (1) ran wide in the home straight. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C3 - 520 | KINLOCH ACTION (6) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. KNOW LAPSE (8) and PROTONIC PEDRO (10) were the last pair to jump. CAWBOURNE WAR (4) ran inwards in the early stages dictating ARCANE SABRE (3) down the track. CAWBOURNE WAR continued to run inwards into the first bend checking ARCANE SABRE with the trailing PROTONIC SABRE (10) losing ground. On the first bend CAWBOURNE KENNY (5) crossed to the lead checking PLUTONIUM (1) which ran outwards pushing KNOW LAPSE over extra ground as that runner was improving. CAWBOURNE MIAMI (7) ran wide around the first bend. ARCANE SABRE ran wide in the back straight. CAWBOURNE MIAMI and PROTONIC PEDRO were both assessed by the vet post race and cleared of injury. Kennel representative S Barber was questioned in regards to the performance of CAWBOURNE MIAMI which ran a clear last. He stated that the bitch had not travelled down well from the North Island losing a kilogram in weight and believed that this may have contributed to the poor effort. Mr Barber was informed that an improved run would be expected at CAWBOURNE MIAMI's next start. |
| Race 4 | Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C3 - 295 | NEDDY SEAGOON (3) and BUSINESS REVIEW (4) came together for a stride in the early stages. OPAWA IDOL (1) shifted outwards into the bend checking NEDDY SEAGOON. OPAWA IDOL and BROOKE DAVIS (9) brushed together on the home turn with BUSINESS REVIEW shifted wider. |
| Race 5 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C3/4 - 520 | KNOW ATTEMPT (4) was last to jump. KNOW ATTEMPT was then tightened into the first bend and lost ground. ELEPHANT GUNN (2) was tightened and then faltered with a lap to run dropping to a long last with this runner being referred to the vet for assessment. ELEPHANT GUNN was found to have a torn triceps muscle. IZZEY BALE (5) ran wide in the back straight. |
| Race 6 | Power Farming Canterbury Dash - C4 - 295 | JAMAICAN ARCHIE (8) was last to jump. STARBURST TERRY (3) and DIZZY STATE (6) came together twice in the back straight. NORMAN JEWEL (1) and BLACK CROW (2) both received some tightening into the bend. JAMAICAN ARCHIE ran wide on the home turn when improving. |
| Race 7 | Mac Developments Distance Feature - C2d - 645 | UNOVA BALE (6) was last on jumping. CAWBOURNE BRIGHT (1) ran outwards into the first bend causing tightening to DREAM COLLECTOR (3), GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (5), OPAWA TANIA (9) and OPAWA PAUL (10) with UNOVA BALE being forced wide. OPAWA PAUL lost its paws in this incident and was classed as a faller. OPAWA PAUL was checked and cleared by the vet post race. LAGOON MYTYE (4) ran wide in the back straight. |
| Race 8 | David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C5 - 295 | BUMP (1) was last to jump. PAPERBOND (6) ran inwards checking AIDEN BAXTER (4) in the early stages. HOMEBUSH KELSO (5) was tightened into the bend. SMASH RUMOUR (8) angled inwards on the bend causing AIDEN BAXTER to check off its heels and run outwards. On the home turn ARBRE CHENE (7) shifted up the track pushing AIDEN BAXTER wider on the track. |
| Race 9 | N.Z. Racing Series Graduation Final - NZRSf - 520 | BOSTON BILLY (4), KNOW HERO (6) and BRISEUR DE REVES (7) were the last trio at the jump. WILLIS (1) checked outwards off the heels of OPAWA SHACKLEY (2) in the run to the first bend. OPAWA KENDAL (5) was checked into the first bend. On the first bend OPAWA SHACKLEY ran outwards a touch pushing SHINES BRIGHT (9) wider with this runner becoming unbalanced and badly checking BOSTON BILLY, KNOW HERO and BRISEUR DE REVES with this quartet losing their winning chances at this point. |
| Race 10 | C.T.V. Sprint - C5 - 295 | WHEELCHAIR NORM (2) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to have swelling in its sesamoids. CHOKEHOLD (7) was last to jump. MICKEY TEE (1) ran outwards in the back straight checking HOMEBUSH ROCKY (4). SHADOW APACHE (6) was checked into the bend when racing to the outside of KERAMUS (5) which had shifted outwards. The pacemaking SMASH THAT (3) ran wide in the home straight. SHADOW APACHE was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a sprained toe. |
| Race 11 | Kolorful Kanvas Robinson Rosebowl - C5 - 520 | OPAWA DIESEL (5) and ANOTHER LIZ (8) were the last pair on jumping. HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (7) was checked into the first bend as UGO FLASH (3) and DYNA VIKKERS (1) improved to its inside. ANOTHER LIZ contacted the hind quarters of DYNA VIKKERS simultaneously to this incident with TRUST ISSUES (4) also receiving a check. OPAWA DIESEL was forced wide around these runners. DYNA VIKKERS and UGO FLASH came together early in the run home. HOMEBUSH CHOPPER was checked and cleared by the vet post race. |
