| Race 1 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | GONE ROGUE and ANOTHER KEY were slow to begin. On the bend DEBORAH BAY shifted outwards striking REGALYN which lost momentum and was forced wider on the track. DEBORAH BAY raced wide in the home straight. |
| Race 2 | ADDED ENERGY SPRINT - C0 - 390 | SPLITTIN' BUCKS begun awkwardly then was checked when CHERIES BOY shifted inwards at the start. PATCHWORK ALICE and CHERIES BOY both made contact over the early stages. JOEY BAXTER was tightened for room racing into the bend. PATCHWORK ALICE had to shift off heels racing into the bend then raced wide on the bend. The leader BELIEVE raced wide prior to the straight entrance. The Stewards requested a veterinary examination of SPLITTIN' BUCKS which finished a distant last placing. The examination revealed SPLITTIN' BUCKS to be suffering a minor graze to a hock with no stand down recommended. |
| Race 3 | BRENDON BURKE @ RAY WHITE - C1 - 390 | Both HOMEBUSH HANSOME and SCARY CANARY weighed in excess of 1.5kg from their previous start, however both runners had not raced for in excess of 28 days and no further action was required. JACKPOT JAKE and HOMEBUSH HANSOME bumped at the jump. SAILORS COLLAR and SCARY CANARY jostled over the early stages. RAINCHECK, WALLY BAXTER and HOMEBUSH HANSOME all come together in the run to the bend. SAILORS COLLAR ran wide on the bend and throughout the run home. |
| Race 4 | SGRC $25 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C2 - 390 | BILLY WEST shifted inwards at the start crowding ALBIE MCLEOD. DREAM LARGE shifted outwards turning for home bumping QUESTION BALE. |
| Race 5 | ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C0 - 457 | TIMELY REMINDER was very slow to begin then stumbled settling approximately 10-12 lengths off the back of the field. CANDID ANGEL struck the hind quarters of DALLAS BAXTER which lost its momentum in the run to the bend. CANDID ANGEL continued to shift inwards racing to the bend bumping with CRYSTAL FLAME on several occasions. On the bend CANDID ANGEL become awkwardly placed on the heels of SPINE CHILLING with both these runners losing ground. NO TINKERBELL ran wide on the bend forcing TIMELY REMINDER wide as well. TIMELY REMINDER and NO TINKERBELL brushed in the home straight. |
| Race 6 | HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRONWYN - C1 - 457 | HERITAGE WATCH, SOLSTICE, WITH PRIDE and STENSON all made contact over the early stages with SOLSTICE, HERITAGE PRIDE and WITH PRIDE losing ground. HERITAGE WATCH raced wide in the home straight. |

| Race 8 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C3/4 - 390 | ANOTHER FAN was slow to begin. ANOTHER LIZ shifted inwards sharply at the start resulting in HOMEBUSH KELSO, BOUND TO ERUPT and ANOTHER LIZ all making heavy contact On the bend THUNDER STORM was galloped on from behind by OPAWA BART. OPAWA BART then ran outwards with HOMEBUSH SLINKY, ANOTHER FAN and THUNDER STORM all being forced wide on the track. |
| Race 9 | ORETI BEACH STAKES - C1/2 - 457 | LA KINKS was very slow to begin. SOUTHERN LIGHTS was also slow to begin. WHAT I LIKE and KINGMAN both jostled while leading racing into the bend with WHAT I LIKE losing ground. On the bend THRILLING SPELL checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH ERROL which had shifted inwards. GUMP'S THE NAME raced wide on the bend and upon entering the home straight. |
| Race 10 | STEWARD ISLAND SPRINT - C3/4 - 390 | ZORBA THE GREEK begun awkwardly. MATTY HOOKY made contact with ZORBA THE GREEK racing to the bend. On the bend BOTANY WIN shifted inwards resulting in RAMBUNCTIOUS and NO BRO both having to steady. EXPECT DELAY ran out of racing room racing into the bend and struck the running rail. EXPECT DELAY then ran outwards forcing RAMBUNCTIOUS onto NO BRO and ZORBA THE GREEK who were both forced wider on the bend. RAMBUNCTIOUS lost all its momentum at this stage. MATTY HOOKY was also inconvenienced during this incident. The Stewards requested a veterinary examination of EXPECT DELAY which revealed no clinical abnormalities. |
| Race 11 | BLUFF HILL DASH - C3 - 390 | REPLAY was slow to begin. Racing into the bend ROADWORKS shifted inwards causing crowding to SLEEPER AGENT, GLENN IS GOODESY, GET READY FREDDY, OUT BACK BILL and GRUNT RODGERS. AS a result GRUNT RODGERS ran out of racing room and struck the running rail. GRUNT RODGERS was further hampered on the turn when crossed over by GET READY FREDDY. REPLAY raced wide into the home straight. GRUNT RODGERS finished a distant last placing and was referred to the veterinarian for further assessment. The examination revealed GRUNT RODGERS was suffering stiffness in the hock regions with a 10 day stand down recommended. |
