| Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | MIDNIGHT SPRITE (6) was last to jump. UNO JAMES (5) received a slight check into the bend losing momentum. HARDEN FASTER (3) was also checked along the rail by TRACEY (2) with both runners losing ground and SHEZA GAMBLE (1) being inconvenienced. MIDNIGHT SPRITE raced wide around the bend. |
| Race 2 | Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW VALUE (4) was last to jump. UNO MARGUERITE (3) lost ground in the run to the first bend after coming together with RUN ZOLA (9) which had crossed inwards. ANOTHER BELLE (1) and INFERNAL MAJESTY (2) jostled for a few strides into the first bend. HIP HOP SOFIA (5) was tightened at this stage and settled well back. UNO MARGUERITE raced wide throughout. ARCTIC ACTION (7) was denied room into the back straight when attempting a marginal run between runners. RUN ZOLA received a slight check on leaving the back straight. |
| Race 3 | Hampden Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295 | MALCY (6) was slow to jump. BHUJA (4) ran sharply inwards on dispatch causing tightening to FANCY ACTION (3), KNOW FAULT (2) and RAINCHECK (1). FANCY ACTION checked off heels into the bend losing ground. On the home turn TAYLA'S FRIEND (5) ran inwards checking KNOW FAULT which then ran outwards badly checking MALCY which became unbalanced losing ground. |
| Race 4 | Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C1 - 520 | EL GRAND SHADOW (7) was last to jump. JINJA BILLY (4) and IDOL LEANNE (3) came together on a number of occasions in the early stages. KNOW ENERGY (5) was badly tightened in the run to the first bend dropping to the rear. UNO BRENT (6) and MC LOVIN (1) were both tightened soon after when racing in restricted quarters. Wider out UNO BRENT and EL GRAND SHADOW then came together and lost ground. UNO BRENT and EL GRAND SHADOW were both referred to the vet for assessment with some signs of tying up evident with EL GRAND SHADOW. |
| Race 5 | Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295 | ROBBIE MCBELL (1) was slow to begin. Into the bend ANOTHER GROOM (8) when racing handy ran inwards making solid contact and jostling for some strides with MEMPHIS GIRL (4). ANOTHER GROOM then dropped back through the field finishing at the rear with a post race veterinary check revealing no abnormalities. HAT TRICK CHAOS (3) was badly hampered as ANOTHER GROOM lost ground. On the home turn ROBBIE MCBELL angled outwards causing STENSON (7) to briefly lose momentum. |
| Race 6 | Business Time At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520 | LA KINKS (1) was very slow to leave traps. KNOW CLOWN (4) was tightened into the bend and lost ground after BENJAMIN BLACK (6) had shifted down the track. OPAWA AMY (7) raced wide around the first bend. LA KINKS checked outwards off the heels of KNOW CLOWN on the home turn. |
| Race 7 | Glenbyre Tavern Dash - C1 - 295 | PAGINI (1) was last to jump. SACAJAWEA (3) and HOORAY FOR HAZEL (4) were both tightened and lost ground in the early stages. PETRA HAKA (6) was tightened into the bend as TELL THE BOYS (7) crossed from its outside. GLORY HOG (2), SACAJAWEA and PAGINI were all tightened into the bend. SACAJAWEA was checked by PAGINI soon after and found to be free of injury when checked post race. |
| Race 8 | Amber Cleaning Services Sprint - C1 - 295 | BLAZING HOT (1), BIGTIME TIP (2) and CEC DIVINE (8) were the last trio on jumping. CEC DIVINE was held up for room leaving the back straight with BLAZING HOT hampered in behind. BRANDISH (5) raced wide on the home turn. A number of dogs fell at the lure with no injuries detected. |
| Race 9 | Christchurch Casino Stakes Final - C1f - 520 | CAWBOURNE WALES (6) and ANOTHER MESSAGE (8) were last on settling. GOLDSTAR COCO (2) was checked into the first bend and dropped to the rear. SOLSTICE (3) struck the rail on the first bend and lost ground. OPAWA AMBER (9) ran outwards on the first bend pushing CAWBOURNE WALES and ANOTHER MESSAGE wide. GOLDSTAR COCO was held up on the home turn. |
| Race 10 | C.T.V. Dash - C1 - 295 | OHOKA TOO SOON (6) was a clear last at the jump. CAWBOURNE KITT (1) was checked and lost ground as DEFINER (2) ran inwards on dispatch. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of EUG THE SCROOGE (3), trainer D Stapleton stated that the dog is suited to inside draws and its recent starts have been from outside traps. |
| Race 11 | The Turf Bar Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW SCHOLAR (4), LUMINARY (5) and FILANTE (6) all settled well back after KNOW SCHOLAR had run outwards in the early stages. KNOW SCHOLAR angled outwards into the first bend checking LUMINARY and then pushing BOSTON MONA (1) and FILANTE wider on the track. OPAWA TOMMO (2) ran outwards on the first bend pushing KNOW SCHOLAR wider. BOSTON MONA ran wide on the home turn. |
| Race 12 | Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Sprint - C1 - 295 | PEYTON SAWYER (3) and VITO BAXTER (7) were the last pair on settling. RUN FOR SOPHIE (8) dropped out free of interference to run nearly 20 lengths from the winner in last position with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment with no apparent abnormalities detected. Co-trainer A McCook reported that RUN FOR SOPHIE would now be sent for a spell and trialled before racing again. Stewards requested that they be informed of the results of this trial. GRAYSON BLUE (1) was held up on the bend. PEYTON SAWYER ran wide when improving on the home turn. VITO BAXTER received a check on the home turn when racing to the outside of GRAYSON BLUE. |
