Race 1 | ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | BOTANY SEL was the slowest to begin losing three lengths and he stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place. LAGOON MAY was checked going into the back straight and she went back onto MEG'S ME MUM and they both lost ground and never recovered. |
Race 2 | ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C3 - C3 - 305 | ANOTHER COVER and ONE BROKE GIRL jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and both were unbalanced. ONE BROKE GIRL then went ahead and shifted in causing checks to MISS MOHAWK and ANOTHER COVER and the went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race. |
Race 3 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 - C3 - 305 | HOMEBUSH ZANE and BRILLIANT JAYLA were slow to begin losing two lengths. SEDGEBROOK MAGIC and CHEAP SHOT MATTY both shifted ground and bumped together soon after the start and CHEAP SHOT MATTY was forced out to race wide going to the first corner. CRANKY PANTS shared the lead going to the first corner but shifted out as SEDGEBROOK MAGIC shifted in slightly and this resulted in CRANKY PANTS being checked and she lost three lengths but recovered to finish in 2nd place. |
Race 4 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3 - C3 - 305 | Crowding soon after the start resulted in ELITE DOSE, CAWBOURNE TEASH, YOUR SAY and MISS ALLEGRO being hampered for a short distance and they all lost ground and settled back. |
Race 5 | HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY COLIN CROMARTY C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | BIG BOY DENO was awkwardly positioned when racing between PLENTY OF TIME and HOMEBUSH OLIVE in the back straight and he was eventually checked back to the rear and stayed well back for the remainder of the race. |
Race 6 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C3 - C3 - 520 | TRIDENT and LAGOON MYTYE were slow to begin and settled back. TRIDENT recovered to make up ground well and finished in 2nd place. LAGOON MYTYE and RIKKI'S REBEL bumped together going into the first corner and were unbalanced and lost ground and they stayed back for the remainder of the race. |
Race 7 | AON CPF C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | CAWBOURNE BRICK shifted in from the start and CHECK THE MAIL shifted out and this movement resulted in tightening and checks to THOU ROMEO, SMASH ALLEGRO and VICTORY BELLE which all lost ground and they stayed back throughout the race and finished in the last three places. |
Race 8 | KEENAN CONCRETE C3/4 - C3/4 - 520 | THUMB PRINT TONY shifted out from the start causing checks to ARCANE RAMPAGE and ARCANE SABRE and they lost ground and settled at the rear. ANGVELLA was galloped on and dragged down by THUMB PRINT TONY on the home turn. ANGVELLA regained her feet and finished onto the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment. ANGVELLA was found to have bruising and muscle soreness. THUMB PRINT TONY lost several lengths and all chance in the incident. |
Race 9 | MTA Wanganui Distance FINAL (Gp 2) - C2df - 755 | EXTREME TWIST was the slowest to begin and he stayed back throughout the race and finished in 6th place. CAWBOURNE BRIGHT shifted in from the start and hampered LITTLE TEEGAN, SHANDELL and ELEPHANT GUNN and they lost ground with SHANDELL and LITTLE TEEGAN the most affected and they settled near the rear but made up ground to finish in 2nd and 4th places. |
Race 10 | FIRST SECURITY WANGANUI CUP FINAL (Gp 1) - C5f - 520 | NITRO MARY began very awkwardly losing several lengths and sshe stayed back throughout the race and finished in 2nd last place. DYNA VICKERS and WINSOME JENNY collided and lost ground going into the first corner and JOE JOE was also affected in the incident and they all lost ground. |
Race 11 | VETS ON CARLTON, WANGANUI C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | MEGA JET was handy to the lead going to the first corner but was checked and went back through the field to the rear and SENORITA TINA was also affected and she too went back through the field and they finished in the last two places. |
Race 12 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4 - C4 - 305 | CHOCDEE ALICE and SUPER ROOSTER were the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. SUPER ROOSTER galloped on the back of PEACOCK PRINCESS going into the bend and fell. PEACOCK PRINCESS was badly hindered in the incident losing several lengths. SUPER ROOSTER was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have bruising and muscle soreness. |
