JINGA SNAG (7) ran wide on the bend. FERAL HOKI ran wide on the home turn after becoming unbalanced when racing to the outside of ANOTHER RUSS. |
| Race 2 | Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C0 - 295 | ANOTHER WAY (6) was very slow to jump. CHIEF BAXTER (4) was tightened into the bend and lost ground with MAX BRAINSTRAIN (7) being unbalanced to its outside. LUCAS SCOTT (2) raced wide on the home turn. |
| Race 3 | Happy Birthday Robin Wales Stakes - C0 - 520 | OPAWA LEIGH (9) was very slow to jump and remained a long way back throughout finishing over 26 lengths from the winner with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. The connections were advised that an improvement in performance would be expected at the next start of OPAWA LEIGH. SHEERAN (5) was also slow to jump. BELIEVE (8) ran inwards in the early stages dictating TEPIRITA RATA (7) down the track. KNOW THANKS (1) angled slightly outwards into the first bend resulting in ESTER ACTION (3) checking off the paws of OPAWA SPICE (2) with OPAWA SPICE being dragged down and losing ground. OPAWA SPICE was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. SHEERAN and TEPIRITA RATA collided on the first bend. |
| Race 4 | Greyhounds As Pets Dash - C0 - 295 | PASS WITH CARE (1) was very awkwardly away and settled a clear last. MOONLIGHT LAD (4) was checked on two occasions into the bend being badly unbalanced and losing ground. This dog was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. PASS WITH CARE and MOONLIGHT LAD both raced wide around the home turn. |
| Race 5 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C0 - 520 | SPINE CHILLING (1), JINJA WILLY (2) and GOLDSTAR ARCHIE (6) were the last trio on jumping. JINJA WILLY and PRIVATE ACTION (7) collided on the first bend with GOLDSTAR ARCHIE checking off these runners. OPAWA BUCKS EYE (8) raced wide around this bend and in the back straight. GOLDSTAR ARCHIE was held up when attempting to improve at the end of the back straight. GOLDSTAR ARCHIE and OPAWA BUCKS EYE came together on the home turn. |

CAWBOURNE TICK (6), ANOTHER CHARM (5) and FANCY ACTION (4) collided in the early stages. CAWBOURNE TICK brushed the rail into the bend losing ground. LIN BAXTER (1) checked outwards on the bend pushing ANOTHER CHARM and SOME EXCITMENT wider on the track. |
| Race 7 | The Turf Bar Stakes - C1/2 - 520 | KINLOCH ACTION (6) checked off BLUSHING BELLE (5) after this runner had shifted marginally outwards in the initial stages with BOSTON BILLY (7) and KNOW DECISION (8) both being inconvenienced as a result. KNOW LAUGHING (3) was held up early in the run home and was forced to switch wide to obtain clear room. |
| Race 8 | Power Farming Canterbury Sprint - C2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH BRUNO (2) ran outwards in the early stages pushing CAWBOURNE PEEJAY (3) outwards and causing tightening to ADJUDICATOR (4), STAND UP GIRL (6) and GOLDSTAR MAGIC (10) with this trio dropping to the rear. ADJUDICATOR checked outwards off the heels of HOMEBUSH ERROL (9) on the bend. ADJUDICATOR and STAND UP GIRL both raced wide on the home turn. |
| Race 9 | Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C2 - 295 | CAWBOURNE ROWAN (8) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. JAMAICAN ARCHIE (6) was a touch slow to begin. KNOW FAVOURS (3) was tightened into the bend and came together with SHOWROOM (4) losing ground. SHOWROOM was dragged down by HOMEBUSH RILEY (1) on the bend and lost momentum. SHOWROOM was checked by the vet post race and cleared of any abnormality. KNOW FAVOURS ran wide on the home turn. |
| Race 10 | Business Time At Stud Stakes - C1/2 - 520 | OPAWA AMY (7) and OPAWA KURU (8) were the last pair on settling. KINLOCH POWER (1) was checked into the first bend when in tight quarters losing ground and pushing CHIPPA LATA (5) wider. In behind AMBILIGHT (4) and OPAWA KURU were both badly checked with AMBILIGHT losing its footing for a few strides and being declared a faller. AMBILIGHT was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a cut to the top of a foot with stitches required.. |
| Race 11 | C.T.V. Sprint - C2 - 295 | CRONK WENT PLONK (5) dropped out in the early stages finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn gracilis. THAT'S A WRAP (6) ran wide on the home turn. On the home turn RAINCHECK (8) clipped the heels of MEMPHIS GIRL (4) with both runners losing momentum. RAINCHECK then ran inwards coming together with KENNY'S COMET (7). |
| Race 12 | Snow-e Muscle, Energy & Fertility Dash - C2 - 295 | TELL THE BOYS (6) and BIGTIME TIP (7) were the last pair on settling. Tightening into the bend caused HANNA THE SPANNA (3) to lose ground. COSTING MONEY (4) and JINJA LUCA (5) then came together with BIGTIME TIP getting on the heels of JINJA LUCA and falling. JACK'S A JEWEL (8) was forced wide in this incident. BIGTIME TIP regained its paws and completed the race before being assessed by the vet and cleared of injury. |
