Judicial report: AGRC meeting on 2-8-15 Starter G Sharp was issued with a warning after failing to ensure the correct numbers were displayed on the front of the boxes in race 12.

Race 1 Happy Birthday Brian Hunt 75 today Sprint - C2 - 318 MADE TIME (6) was slow away. MULTI CHASER (1) and BRILLIANT AVA (2) came together leaving the boxes. THRILLING GALAXY (7) angled in soon after the start making contact with ARIZONA SKY (4) and NEED TO CHILL (3) also inconveniencing MULTI CHASER and BRILLIANT AVA. Entering the first turn NEED TO CHILL and ARIZONA SKY came together with BRILLIANT AVA becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of these runners shifting out hampering MULTI CHASER, FRANKINCENSE (5) and MADE TIME. Rounding the bend BRILLIANT AVA got on the heels of MULTI CHASER losing ground going back onto MADE TIME who was checked.
Race 2 NZ Racing Series Graduation Heat 1 - NZRSq - 527 Heat 1 BLOO BLOOMERS was slow away. ELEPHANT TRUNK (4) and OPAWA MICHELLE (5) made contact leaving the boxes losing ground. Entering the first turn OUR HEISENBERG (6) shifted in tightening LUCKY MAN (1) and MONTANA (3) who came together with MONTANA becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of OUR HEISENBERG shifting out making contact with OPAWA MICHELLE with these runners losing ground. Also inconvenienced as a result was OPAWA BORN (2) who contacted the hindquarters of MONTANA becoming unbalanced then shifting out making contact with the hindquarters of BLOO BLOOMERS (7). Entering the bend leaving the back straight LUCKY MAN and IT’S THE DREAM (8) were placed in restricted room to the inside of BLOO BLOOMERS having to steady losing ground.
Race 3 NZ Racing Series Graduation Heat 2 - NZRSq - 527 Heat 2 OPAWA SAM (2), OPAWA KAREN (6) and LEGAL AID (8) were slow away. JETSUN QUAKER (4) began awkwardly becoming unbalanced losing considerable ground. Soon after the start MOCKINGJAY (7) angled in making contact with JESSE PINKMAN (5) with both runners unbalanced with these runners then continuing to make contact for a distance racing into the first turn with MOCKINGJAY losing ground as a result. JESSE PINKMAN then shifted in making brief contact with OPAWA KAREN. Rounding the first bend OPAWA SAM shifted out making solid contact with OPAWA KAREN with both runners becoming unbalanced losing ground.
Race 4 Lochinvar Marlow Stakes - C1 - 527 There was a delay to the start of this event when there was a mechanical failure with the lure with all runners being removed from the boxes to undergo a veterinary examination with all runners being cleared fit to race. The lure was tested to satisfaction prior to the start of this event. IDOL LEANNE (8) was slow away. BILL RUSH (7) stumbled leaving the boxes becoming badly unbalanced losing considerable ground. JETSUN JINNY (4) was inconvenienced shifting out, losing ground soon after the start when runners either side shifted ground. Soon after the start FORTIS FLIER (6) angled in making solid contact with HERSCHKE (9) who came together with LAGOON MAC (1) with these three runners becoming unbalanced. Entering the first turn MR. DARCI (2) and PROCRASTINATION (3) came together with PROCRASTINATION becoming unbalanced making contact with IDOL LEANNE who lost ground. LAGOON MAC and HERSCHKE made brief contact entering the final straight.
Race 5 Greyhounds As Pets Sprint Series Final - C1f - 318 TEPIRITA ENFORCE (7) was slow away. CALZINI (8) angled in entering the first turn making contact with BRITNEY STAR (4) with both runners becoming unbalanced with CALZINI shifting wider on the track losing ground. CALZINI then continued to race very wide on the track for the remainder of the event losing ground. BRITNEY STAR shifted out to obtain clear racing room in the final straight.
Race 6 $15k Triple Trio Sprint - C2/3 - 318 BIGTIME DASHER (1) and POPCORN SUTTON (6) were slow away. SACRED CAN YOU (2) and CAWBOURNE TEASH (3) came together and jostled for a distance racing down the back straight with SACRED CAN YOU losing ground entering the first turn. Rounding the bend SACRED CAN YOU and BRILLIANT JAYLA (4) came together with both runners becoming unbalanced with BRILLIANT JAYLA losing ground making brief contact with PINK BOUQUET (7).
Race 7 MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C5 - 318 TEE KAY YAPPER (2) was slow away. YEBOAH (5) was inconvenienced soon after the start when MISS UNIVERSE (6) angled in tightening this runner with MISS UNIVERSE then coming together with STYLISH FANCY (4) who was unbalanced losing ground. YEBOAH then shifted out making contact with CALAMITY FREE (7). Entering the first turn CALAMITY FREE shifted in making contact with TEE KAY YAPPER with these runners both becoming unbalanced losing ground. Rounding the first turn RASSO (3) shifted out when placed in restricted room to the inside of MISS UNIVERSE hampering STYLISH FANCY and EXPLOSIVE OSTI (8).
Race 8 Carol's TAB Manurewa Sprint Series Final - C4f - 318 MISS VELOCETTE (1) and SANDOR GLEGANE (3) came together and jostled for a distance racing into the first turn with MISS VELOCETTE losing ground. Entering the first bend CORTEZ FLYER (2) shifted in into the line of SANDOR GLEGANE, who got on this runners heels, with both runners becoming unbalanced losing ground, SANDOR GLEGANE the worst affected. MR. MUMBLES and BIG JAMESY (7) made brief contact rounding the final bend.
Race 9 $10k Guaranteed Quaddie Stakes - C1 - 527 WALTER MITTY (4) and WHO ROCKS (7) were slow away. EVEN SEVEN (3) and LOCKETT IN EDDIE (2) made contact leaving the boxes and again on several occasions racing toward the first turn with LOCKETT IN EDDIE losing ground. ZALIA (5), WALTER MITTY and EVEN SEVEN all came together entering the first turn becoming unbalanced when OPAWA PEARL angled in tightening these runners with all involved runners losing ground, WALTER MITTY and ZALIA the worst affected. Also inconvenienced as a result was WHO ROCKS.
Race 10 Greyhounds North Graduation Distance - C1d - 603 This event was hand started due to a power failure. CARAT’S PRINCE (1) and RAMAH REASON (5) were slow away. MRS. PUNTING (6) came together with THRILLING EVIE(7) soon after the start before shifting making contact with RAMAH REASON with these runners then continuing to jostle for a distance rounding the first bend and in the straight on the first occasion with RAMAH REASON losing ground as a result. CARAT’S PRINCE shifted out rounding the first bend inconveniencing CHATEAU NEUF (3) and CAWBOURNE GRACE (4).
Race 11 Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C3/4 - 527 GOOD RETURN (4) and ROCKIN’ FANCY (5) were inconvenienced leaving the boxes when GOT AIR (3) shifted out and DON DRAPER (6) shifted in with ROCKIN’ FANCY and DON DRAPER then continuing to make contact for a distance racing toward the first turn. Entering the first turn ROCKIN’ FANCY shifted in abruptly, checking GOOD RETURN, then making contact with the running rail becoming unbalanced then shifting out hampering DON DRAPER who went off stride taking no further part in the event. DON DRAPER was referred to the veterinarian which revealed an injury to the left stifle with a 60 day stand down imposed. Rounding the bend into the back straight PRETTY CHIC (1) made brief contact with the hindquarters of RUBY MURRAY (7) then commenced to give ground to finish 17.5 lengths from the winner with a post-race veterinary examination revealing an injury to the right gracilis with a 42 day stand down imposed. Rounding the final bend RUBY MURRAY shifted out to obtain clear racing room making brief contact with the heels of GOT AIR (3). ROCKIN’ FANCY underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormality.
Race 12 Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2/3 - 318 CAWBOURNE KIWI (4) and BRILLIANT ASHLEE (6) were slow away. ALDONZA (9) shifted out soon after leaving the boxes hampering CAWBOURNE KIWI who got on this runners heels becoming unbalanced. HASHTAG JOSH (5) was checked soon after the start when WHERE’S CARLOS (7) angled in. HASHTAG JOSH then continued to shift out making contact with BRILLIANT ASHLEE who came together with MULTICAM LAD (8) with these three runners continuing to make contact for a distance racing into the first turn with HASHTAG JOSH and BRILLIANT ASHLEE losing ground. Also inconvenienced as a result was ALDONZA. LOLA’S QUEST (2) and WHERE’S CARLOS were inconvenienced racing down the back straight when LITTLE DREAMS (1) shifted out. CAWBOURNE KIWI raced wide entering the final straight. ALDONZA was referred to the veterinarian following this event which revealed cramp with a 10 day stand down imposed.
