BELLWAVE (6) lost momentum when in tight quarters racing into the first turn. NORMAN JEWEL (7) shifted inwards and made firm contact with MAY MAY LAST early in the home straight. |
| Race 2 | christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Sprint - C2 - 295 | COSTING MONEY (1) began awkwardly and lost ground. CABARITA (8) shifted inwards shortly after the start.and hampered BUDGIE RIGHT (7) and OPAWA DARCEE (6). REPLAY (3) was momentarily unbalanced as a result. CABARITA lost momentum rounding the bend when racing tight to inside runners. Rounding the bend OPAWA DARCEE contacted KAYLA ROSE (5) from behind resulting in both runners losing ground .COSTING MONEY shifted outwards abruptly off the heels of OPAWA DARCEE and checked CABARITA. BUDGIE RIGHT was hampered in consequence. CAWBOURNE PEEJAY (9) raced wide throughout. CAWBOURNE PEEJAY was referred to the vet following this event and found to have hip pain. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295 | CAWBOURNE DANIAL (3) blundered on jumping and got back. KNOW SALUTE (4) began awkwardly and got back. NEDDY SEAGOON (7) shifted inwards on jumping and hampered EARN ME SOME (6). On entering the home straight NEDDY SEAGOON shifted across the heels of VAN GERWIN (5) and raced wider on the track for a distance. |
| Race 4 | Power Farming Canterbury Sprint - C3/4 - 295 | BOTANY WIN (6) and SLEEPER AGENT (4) came together after the start and jostled on a number of occasions into the first bend resulting in SLEEPER AGENT losing ground. Into the first bend WUNZEE (1) raced in restricted room for a short distance. Rounding the bend ADROIT (3) shifted away from the heels of HOMEBUSH PAIGE (7) and made firm contact with BUSINESS AFFAIR (8) which was unbalanced for a distance losing all chance. Into the straight SLEEPER AGENT shifted outwards and made firm contact with BOTANY WIN resulting in both runners being unbalanced momentarily. |
| Race 5 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C2 - 520 | OPAWA KURU (4) and ANOTHER LIZ (6) were slow to begin. OPAWA KENDAL (7) shifted inwards and made contact with KNOW NEGLECT (2) which was buffeted with KNOW LAPSE (1) for some distance near the winning post on the first occasion. KNOW LAPSE shifted outwards shortly thereafter and hampered KNOW NEGLECT, OPAWA KENDAL ,ELWOOD SENSATION (8) and ANOTHER LIZ . The trailing AMBILIGHT (3) and OPAWA ROB (5) were hampered in consequence. KNOW NEGLECT was further hampered rounding the bend when well back in the running. |
| Race 6 | Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C3 - 295 | ADJUDICATOR (2) and KNOW CONTEST (8) were slow to begin. SPIDER GIRL (5) and BUSINESS REVIEW (6) jostled for some distance after jump. Into the first turn ADJUDICATOR shifted across heels and covered extra ground. On entering the home straight OM NOM NOM (7) was unbalanced momentarily when shifting inwards and making firm contact with OHOKA COBY (4) . |
| Race 7 | I Pave Concrete Stakes - C3 - 520 | KNOW SECURITY (4) blundered after jumping and got back. OPAWA TANIA (2) was slow to begin. LAGOON MAY (7) raced very wide in the home straight. |
| Race 8 | Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C5 - 295 | LITTLE REGUS (3) was hard to box. This dog will box first in its immediate engagements. WHEELCHAIR NORM (2) blundered after jumping and got back. Into the first turn ZORBA THE GREEK (4) and BLACK CROW (6) came together and jostled for a distance losing momentum. Rounding the bend LITTLE REGUS and RODRIGUEZ (1) came together. LITTLE REGUS shifted outwards as a result and hampered BLACK CROW and SMASH THAT (9). |
| Race 9 | Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C3/4 - 520 | OPAWA DIESEL (7) was slow to begin. KNOW HERO (4) and BRISEUR DE REVES (3) were checked shortly after the start. KNOW MAYHEM (6) lost ground shortly after when tightened by CAWBOURNE WAR (8) which shifted inwards.TINA (1) was unbalanced when tight to the inside of both CAWBOURNE KENNY (5) and WHAT I LIKE (2) which had jostled for some distance. Into the first turn CAWBOURNE WAR was hampered from behind by the fast improving BRISEUR DE REVES resulting in both runners covering extra ground. |
| Race 10 | Barron's Supplies Stakes - C5 - 520 | DREAM COLLECTOR (4) and UGO FLASH (7) were both slow to begin. Shortly after the start MAGIC EMILY (8) shifted inwards as FLYING AMELIA (2) shifted outwards hampering JEWEL EAGLE (6), KNOW MENTION (5) and OPAWA STRETCH (3) which lost ground. KNOW MENTION and JEWEL EAGLE were badly unbalanced and jostled for a distance. Passing the winning post on the first occasion MAGIC EMILY lost ground when placed in restricted room. In the back straight FLYING AMELIA (2) shifted outwards and was contacted from behind by UGO FLASH being badly unbalanced and falling as a result. FLYING AMELIA was referred to the club veterinarian for assessment which revealed a broken scapula. UGO FLASH lost momentum and all chance in this incident. |

| Race 12 | Livamol Sprint - C3/4 - 295 | AIDEN BAXTER (6) was a late scratching at kenneling with some swelling in its metatarsals. PLAGIARISM (1) and HOMEBUSH ARIEL (3) were slow in the initial stages. |
