Track: Good The track was well presented and with all equipment operating well, the 18 race programme proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Due to a vehicle breakdown, 14 Greyhounds from the J.T.McInerney South Island kennels were scratched from the meeting and due to the circumstances, no penalties were imposed.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	TERRA WAY and SAMMY BAXTER were the slowest to begin and they settled back. They then jostled together for a short distance going to the first corner losing further ground and they finished in the rear group. EM CEE DEE galloped on the heels of SMART DANDY on the bend and SMART DANDY lost three lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 2	KEENAN CONCRETE C0 - C0 - 305	PISTOL PRINCESS and JOBS RITE shared the lead from the start to the first corner but then jostled together, became unbalanced and shifted wide losing several lengths and they never recovered. STAINLESS KNOCKA, which was following at the time of the jostling, was forced wide over extra ground but ran on well to win the race.
Race 3	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C0 - C0 - 305	GULLY YAPPA was slow away from the boxes and lost three lengths. SAMMY MCBELL and SPRITE ON TIME bumped together when the start was made and they were briefly unbalanced and settled back. SAMMY MCBELL checked off the heels of GULLY YAPPA on the bend and lost momentum for a short distance. GOODTIME LADY and MAGIC DANDY shifted out going to the first corner and raced wide on the bend over extra ground.
Race 4	J P PRINT PETONE C0 - C0 - 305	DERECHO STORM and EL MOVIN were the slowest to begin and lost two lengths. KILIMANJARO, ALLEGRO DASHER and DAVEY BOY SCOTT bumped together and lost momentum briefly when the start was made. ALLEGRO DASHER and DERECHO STORM bumped going into the bend and they lost ground and finished well back. HOMEBUSH INQUIRY was also affected in the incident, was unbalanced and shifted out to race wide on the bend and finished in last place.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 520	RANGERS WALTZ checked off the heels of the leader HUGGLEMONSTER going into the first corner and shifted out forcing EVA'S STORM to run wide on the bend. RANGER'S WALTZ eased off the heels of RUBBED OUT going into the final bend and he lost ground and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	The favourite KERRY LANE was one of the slowest to begin and settled back. She was then checked going into the bend when tightened adjacent to the rail and lost two lengths. A short distance further on when rounding the bend, KERRY LANE was checked again losing further ground and she never recovered and finish in 6th place. NICKSTA was also slow to begin and she checked off the back of ACONAGUA on the bend losing ground and finished in last place.
Race 7	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 520	PEAKY BLINDER and MERCEDES GOLD were slow to begin losing two lengths and they stayed back throughout the race.
Race 8	AON CPF C1 - C1 - 520	SHEZA HUM DINGA was lost for early pace and settled at the rear and she stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place. SCOTT THE BEST clipped the heels of ADDA BOY ZEKE entering the back straight when they were racing well back in the field and SCOTT THE BEST blundered and lost four lengths. HEART YOU was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have acute track leg.
Race 9	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520	BUSTER BOY, THRILLING EVE and WALL AGE brushed together soon after the start. A short distance further on, BUSTER BOY shifted out and bumped with OPAWA MESSINI and he then shifted in going into the first bend and hampered SARAH CAMPBEL which was briefly inconvenienced and lost ground..
Race 10	INDULGE SKIN SPA WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH ZANE shifted in soon after the start and crowded BRILLIANT AVA in onto ZULU MERCEDES which was checked and lost ground. BRILLIANT AVA and HOMEBUSH TIARE were awkwardly positioned in restricted room going to the first corner and they jostled together for a short distance. HOMEBUSH TIARE then checked off the heels of BLUE SENIOR and went back to the rear and he never recovered.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 305	The Start was delayed slightly while a replacement muzzle was delivered to the start. SMASHED EM BRO was checked going to the first turn and he stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have a stifle sprain.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305	SERVE YA PURPOSE was the slowest to begin losing a length but she made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. OPAWA UNO and BARRY'S WAY were placed in restricted room going into the bend and BARRY'S WAY was eventually checked, went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
Race 13	FIVE STAR KENNELS AND RUNS C1 - C1 - 305	ABOGADO shifted out approaching the home turn and dictated the lines of FORTIS LION, CASUAL SLIPPER and OPAWA JAY and they were forced to race over extra ground.
Race 14	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C1 - C1 - 305	DOUBLE ENTENDRE, ANOTHER PEARL and BITA BANTA were slightly slow to begin. AZURE DREAMS shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to HOMEBUSH LIMBO and JOHNNY ANGEL and they went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
Race 15	POPPA BEAR FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS C1 - C1 - 305	BLACK MAGIC ROCK shifted in very abruptly after being slightly slow to begin. PINK SHELLAC was also slightly slow away from the boxes and a short distance further on, clipped the heels of WORKING PIZZAZ and fell but was quickly back on her feet and finished onto the lure. BLACK MAGIC ROCK checked off the heels of MARBELLA on the bend and they both lost ground and finished well back. PINK SHELLAC was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 16	DISPLAY ASSOCIATES C1 - C1 - 305	MR ZAFONIC was the slowest to begin but he recovered well to make up ground for 2nd place. BLAZE'S CORPORAL checked off the heels of CHINESE STAR on the bend and went back and out causing checks to WELLYWOOD, CAWBOURNE DOUST and PEAJAY PRINGLES and they lost all chance and finished well back. CHINESE STAR was also hampered in the incident but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 17	CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES - BOOK NOW 06 345 6794 - C1 - 305	ELUSIVE BABE was very slow away from the boxes losing several lengths and all chance. GUMMY GUMPSTA and HOMEBUSH MELVIN bumped and lost momentum soon after the start. They again came together and bumped going into the bend, became unbalanced losing further ground and stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish at the rear.
Race 18	ANDERSONS FOR MEN C1 - C1 - 305	EVEN SEVEN was the slowest to begin and settled back. He then checked off the heels of LAGOON MAC going into the bend and lost two lengths. KA PAI checked over the heels of DON'T MUZZLE ME going into the bend and raced wide covering extra ground and he finished in 2nd last place.
