| Race 2 | Hurunui Hotel Sprint - C1 - 295 | MULBERRY BROOK (5) and KNOW ENERGY (6) came together on jumping. Shortly after the start EUG THE SCROOGE (8) was hampered when galloped on from behind by KNOW ENRGY. MULBERRY BROOK and BELFAST EEJIT (3) made firm contact racing into the first turn resulting in both runners being unbalanced for a short distance. Into the home straight OUR JOHN (4) became awkwardly placed on the heels of HAT TRICK CHAOS (2). |
| Race 3 | Greyhounds As Pets Stakes - C1 - 520 | BENJAMIN BLACK (4) was slow to begin. OPAWA VIV (9) was hampered shortly after the start and got back when JINJA BILLY (6) shifted inward abruptly. JEWEL APACHE (3) and ANOTHER BELLE (2) were firmly contacted and buffeted as a result. Passing the winning post on the first occasion ANOTHER BELLE shifted outwards and forced OPAWA VIV into the running line of BENJAMIN BLACK. OPAWA VIV was badly hampered as a result. Rounding the first turn JEWEL APPACHE shifted outwards and made firm contact with LAGOON TWIST (8) which was unbalanced momentarily. OPAWA VIV was referred to the club veterinarian for assessment which revealed this runner to be suffering from cramp. |
| Race 4 | Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295 | Shortly after the start CAWBOURNE CRUZE (10) was hampered and lost ground when awkwardly placed on the heels of PETRA HAKA (5). Into the first turn CAWBOURNE CLOCK shifted inwards and made contact with CULVIE GODFATHER (7) which lost momentum as a result. On entering the home straight TOKEN JUMP (3) shifted outwards and bumped heavily with CAWBOURNE CLOCK resulting in both runners being unbalanced for a short distance. |
| Race 5 | Power Farming Canterbury Stakes - C1 - 520 | SKILLZ TAYLOR (7) and LAGOON VICTORY (6) came together on jumping. SKILLZ TAYLOR was further hampered and got back when tightened by the improving KNOW SCHOLOR (8). Shortly after the start MOBILIZE (1) and UNO SHAY (2) made firm contact. Passing the winning post on the first occasion MOBILIZE lost momentum when unbalanced by UNO SHAY which shifted outwards. SKILLZ TAYLOR ran wide rounding the first turn. KNOW SCHOLAR became awkwardly placed on the heels of UNO SHAY rounding the first bend shifting wider as a result. MOBILIZE was held up rounding the final bend when on heels for some distance. SUMMER LOVE (5) was checked rounding the final bend when awkwardly placed between OPAWA LARRY which shifted inwards and the improving LAGOON VICTORY. |
| Race 6 | Islington Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295 | GOOD GIRL NINA (7) was slow to begin. VITO BAXTER (4) was slow in the initial stages. ANOTHER KEY (9) shifted inwards abruptly on jumping and made firm contact with SHAKAYLA ROSE (3). ANOTHER KEY lost ground as a result. Into the first turn MALCY (1) shifted outwards and hampered RANGITATA RAIDER (2) which became badly unbalanced between runners and lost ground. |
| Race 7 | Barron's Supplies Dash - C1 - 295 | OHOKA TOO SOON (5) was slow to begin. KNOW STRUGGLE (3) and MIDNIGHT SPRITE (4) came together on jumping and got back. KNOW STRUGGLE was hampered into the first turn when awkwardly placed on the heels of TAYLA'S FRIEND (1). KNOW STRUGGLE then shifted outwards and made firm contact with MIDNIGHT SPRITE resulting in both runners being unbalanced and losing all chance. |
| Race 8 | Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C1 - 520 | DUSTY RAIDER (3) and TRACEY (4) came together on jumping. Shortly after the start KNOW WORTH (2) shifted outwards and buffeted DUSTY RAIDER for some distance. DUSTY RAIDER lost ground as a result. KNOW WORTH continued on an outward movement and jostled with TRACEY for a short distance. Passing the winning post on the first occasion KNOW WORTH shifted outwards and hampered DUSTY RAIDER and then UNOVA BALE (8) which was badly unbalanced and lost ground. CAWBOURNE WALES (1) ran wide rounding the first turn. |
| Race 9 | Glenbyre Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295 | OPAWA GOODIE (7) was slow through the initial stages. OPAL JEWEL (6) shifted inwards abruptly on jumping making firm contact with HOMEBUSH GRU (4). HOMEBUSH GRU shifted inwards into the first turn hampering MISS JOLT (2) and BAD WEEK (1) both of which lost ground. TULIP MUNCHER (3) was held up momentarily in consequence. OPAWA JEWEL was hampered in the straight when shifting into the running line of BLACK SAILS (5). |
| Race 10 | Protexin Stakes Finals - C1f - 520 | KNOW LAPSE (7) shifted in on jumping and contacted BLUSHING BELLE (6) which was dictacted inwards. BLUSHING BELLE and YOU'RE SO FREE (5) came together shortly after jumping. Passing the winning post on the first occasion CHIPPA LATA (4) shifted wider and forced KNOW LAPSE outwards onto OPAWA AMBER (8) which lost momentum. Into the back straight JINJA JAFFA (3) was checked between CHIPPA LATA and ANOTHER MESSAGE (1) and came back into the running line of KNOW LAPSE. |

AIR EXPRESS (3) was hampered into the turn when VERBATIM (7) shifted inwards. Rounding the turn CHARLIE NEXT BOY (2) was hampered when VERBATIM continued to shift towards the running line. Approaching the home straight CHARLIE NEXT BOY was contacted from behind by VERBATIM and turned outwards making contact with AIR EXPRESS tighteneing both VERBATIM and HAYLEY JAMES (5). VERBATIM was further hampered when shifting inwards and making contact with HOMEBUSH NAKI on entering the home straight. |
