Judicial report: The lure was stopped shortly after the start of Race 8 due to there being a delay in the all clear being given by the Tab after the Trackside link went down.

Race 1 Congratulations The Highlanders - C0 - 310 PEE CEE PLOD (9) was last to jump. PEE CEE PLOD then ran inwards at the end of the rail making firm contact with the rail. The pacemaking BRANDISH (2) and APOLLO KING (7) both ran wide on the home turn. Early in the run home PEE CEE PLOD ran outwards badly checking CHIEF BAXTER (8) when this pair were racing at the rear. A post race assessment of PEE CEE PLOD revealed no abnormalities.
Race 2 St Kilda Veterinary Centre Sprint - C0 - 310 ANOTHER RUSS (4) was a clear last on jumping with SPRINGS ETERNAL (1) also settling well back. KNOW VALUE (3) was tightened in the early stages. DEBORAH BAY (2) ran outwards on the home turn after briefly contacting BEDUZZI (7). KNOW VALUE checked off the heels of DEBORAH BAY in the home straight.
Race 3 Bramwell Scaffolding Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310 GOING PRONTO (9) checked outwards off the heels of FIESTY FORTUNE (8) into the bend. BRINDEE'S BRO (7), FIESTY FORTUNE and GOING PRONTO all ran wide in the home straight.
Race 4 St Kilda Veterinary Centre Stakes - C0 - 545 CLOUDY NOIR (3) and HUMAN INSTINCT (8) were the last pair on jumping. UNO SHAY (7) ran wide on the first bend. UNO MARGUERITE (2) checked outwards off heels on the first bend. HUMAN INSTINCT weakened over the concluding stages with the vet reporting that the dog had shown signs of tying up.
Race 5 Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C1 - 545 SUBTERFUGE (5) and MOON AND SEA (7) were the last pair on jumping. CALM SPIRIT (3) was tightened in the early stages as NOGGIN (4) ran inwards. NOGGIN and SUBTERFUGE came together into the first bend. CALM SPIRIT ran wide on the first bend. CHILL OUT RALPH (1) was checked on the first bend and came together with SUBTERFUGE for a stride.
Race 6 Blasting and Coating Services Sprint - C1 - 310 CAWBOURNE PIRATE (4) was a clear last on jumping. SAILOR'S COLLAR (5) ran wide on the home turn. BUSINESS BOSS (7) dropped out in the run home and was referred to the vet for assessment where thigh muscle soreness was detected.
Race 7 Green Island Barber Sprint - C1 - 310 This race was delayed by 3 minutes due to an Australian galloping race running late. THUNDER DRAGON (1) leapt in the air as the start was effected losing ground. Into the first bend NO BRO (3) angled inwards tightening SHEZ KEEN (2) which lost ground and ran outwards. This caused a number of runners to be hampered with HOMEBUSH CORAL (5) falling and THUNDER DRAGON and CASTLE EDEN losing their chances. On the home turn OPAWA DARCEE (7) and MILLIE'S BOY (4) came together on two occasions with both runners losing momentum. NO BRO and PUKEKO THUNDER (8) ran wide in the home straight. Stewards viewed a replay of the home turn and established that Rule 79 was not compromised when the leading pair came together. HOMEBUSH CORAL, CASTLE EDEN and OPAWA DARCEE were all checked and passed by the vet post race.
Race 8 www.greyhoundaspets.org - C2 - 310 This race was delayed by 2 minutes at the request of Raceday Control. The lure was stopped shortly after the start due to there being a delay in the all clear being given by the Tab after the Trackside link went down. All dogs were cleared to race following vet checks. In the restart KNOW CHEERS (3) and KNOW STRUGGLE (4) were slow to jump. HOMEBUSH GRU (2) and OM NOM NOM (5) were checked into the bend as TOKEN ACE (1) angled outwards. KNOW CHEERS ran wide on the home turn. HOMEBUSH GRU and OM NOM NOM came together on the home turn. Following this event the remainder of the programme was put back by one race.
Race 9 Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C1/2 - 545 FLIP FLIPPA (3) was tightened in the early stages. OPAWA BORN (6) ran inwards into the first bend tightening PUKEKO PROWLER (4) and PUKEKO BOLT (2). PUKEKO PROWLER ran wide on the home turn when well back.
Race 10 Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C2/3 - 310 Into the bend WUNZEE (3) ran inwards causing a nasty check to CAWBOURNE PEEJAY (2) which then ran sharply outwards with HOMEBUSH BRUNO (4) and KNOW JEALOUSY (7) being terminally checked. CAWBOURNE PEEJAY was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 11 Speedprint Shop Sprint - C4 - 310 Tightening caused by SAN SEBASTIAN (1) and CAWBOURNE DANIAL (2) running outwards and HOMEBUSH ERROL (5) angling inwards caused QUESTION BALE ((3) and THRILLING SPELL (4) to lose ground in the back straight. TEE TIME (8) ran inwards on the bend checking SAN SEBASTIAN which lost ground and ran outwards. MATTY HOOKY (7) ran outwards on the home turn after making slight contact with CAWBOURNE DANIAL with SAN SEBASTIAN being forced wider on the track.
Race 12 Racing Again Tuesday 28th July - C2/3 - 310 LOTS OF BEERSIES (7) ran inwards in the back straight tightening OPAWA IDOL (6) and FLYING SWAN (9). HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (3) and ROB'S MATE (4) came together on the bend.
