| Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | RANGITATA RAIDER (1) and HAYLEY JAMES (4) were the last pair on jumping. BOTANY ZENVO (3) ran inwards for a stride in the early stages dictating HOMEBUSH NAKI (2) down the track. RANGITATA RAIDER was tightened in the back straight and then shifted outwards. BOTANY ZENVO was held up into the bend when in restricted room. BOTANY ZENVO then ran wide on the home turn. LA FONTAINE (8) fell at the lure and was trampled on by several dogs with a post race veterinary assessment revealing no injury. |
| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Alyson Rosanowski Sprint - C1 - 295 | TOO MUCH REBEL (3) and GUMP'S THE NAME (6) were the last pair on jumping. TRACEY (5) and BIZARRO (4) were both tightened in the back straight as JAMAICAN ARCHIE (7) angled inwards. HAT TRICK CHAOS (10) lost ground into the bend when in restricted quarters. Trainer A Joyce was shown the video and advised that an improved performance would be required from HAT TRICK CHAOS in upcoming engagements. GUMP'S THE NAME was forced wide when improving on the bend. JAMAICAN ARCHIE ran outwards on the bend pushing THAT'S A WRAP (8) wider on the track. |
| Race 3 | Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW WORTH (7) was last from the traps. Into the first bend KNOW LAPSE (2) got on heels and then was dragged down and ran outwards forcing BIG JOHN CANON (4), SOLSTICE (6), KNOW WORTH and OPAWA JED (8) wider on the track. SOLSTICE and KNOW WORTH ran wide in the home straight. KNOW LAPSE was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. OPAWA JED was referred to the vet and found to have split webbing. |
| Race 4 | Business Time At Stud Dash - C1 - 295 | OUR JOHN (8) was a clear last on jumping. NOT SO CUTE (7) ran sharply inwards in the early stages causing tightening to TERRA MONDO (6), JET TO MARS (5), BAD WEEK (4) and MIDNIGHT SPRITE (2). MIDNIGHT SPRITE hit the rail into the bend losing ground. JET TO MARS checked outwards into the bend off the heels of OUR JOHN and ran outwards. |
| Race 5 | Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C1 - 520 | OPAWA GRUNTER (1) ran outwards briefly in the early stages causing some inconvenience to KNOW JINX (2). YOU'RE SO FREE (3) shifted outwards into the first bend and was dragged down by KNOW SCHOLAR (6). This caused YOU'RE SO FREE to be turned sideways and push KNOW SCHOLAR off the track with the pair losing their chances. Post race veterinary checks of these greyhounds revealed no injuries. In behind KNOW JINX checked outwards off the heels of OPAWA GRUNTER with LAGOON VICTORY (7), CAWBOURNE ALPHA (9) and GOLDSTAR COCO (8) all forced wider on the track. CAWBOURNE ALPHA continued to race wide in the back straight. |
| Race 6 | Hampden Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295 | OHOKA TOO SOON (2) was last to jump. Into the bend UNO SHELLEY (6) crossed to the rail tightening CULVIE GODFATHER (1) which was attempting to angle outwards. CULVIE GODFATHER then was turned sideways and severely checked BUTTERFLY TERRA (4), MOP HEAD (5) and OHOKA TOO SOON with this dog falling. OHOKA TOO SOON was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any abnormality. |
| Race 7 | Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C1 - 295 | EUG THE SCROOGE (5) dropped to the rear in the early stages. TERRA ALERT (2) and OHOKA JOKA (4) came together soon after with OHOKA JOKA losing ground. TERRA ALERT lost ground into the bend. ANOTHER CHARMER (7) checked off the heels of VERBATIM (8) on the bend losing momentum. This caused OHOKA JOKA and EUG THE SCROOGE to be forced wide around this runner. TERRA ALERT was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. Co-Trainer R Casey was questioned in regards to the disappointing performance of TERRA ALERT. He informed Stewards that the dog was recovering from a serious injury but still expressed disappointment with today's effort. Mr Casey added that TERRA ALERT would be trialling before its next race and he would be reporting the results of the trial to Stewards. |
| Race 8 | Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C1 - 295 | JAKEPOT JAKE (2) was a late scratching at kenneling with diarrhoea. SKILLZ TAYLOR (9) was last to jump. MULBERRY BROOK (8) lost ground into the bend with SKILLZ TAYLOR being forced wide around this runner and losing ground. MULBERRY BROOK ran wide on the home turn. |
| Race 9 | Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520 | BLUSHING BELLE (7) and KNOW CLOWN (1) both drifted to the rear in the early stages. KIRKHAM HARVEY (4) was badly dragged down into the first bend losing ground with COME ON DOLLY (3) being inconvenienced in behind. JINJA JAFFA (5), KNOW CLOWN and BLUSHING BELLE were all forced wide around this bend as a result. OPAWA SHILOH (2) was tightened in the approach to the back straight losing ground. KIRKHAM HARVEY ran wide in the back straight. KIRKHAM HARVEY was referred to the vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 10 | Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C1 - 295 | PEYTON SAWYER (7) was last to jump. CAWBOURNE CLOCK (9) ran outwards colliding with LACHIE JEWEL (8) in the initial stages. AIR EXPRESS (2) shifted outwards into the bend placing LAUDABLE (3) in restricted room and pushing SUMMER LOVE (5) and CAWBOURNE CLOCK over extra ground. LACHIE JEWEL and CAWBOURNE CLOCK came together on the home turn when at the rear. |
| Race 11 | Islington Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW ENERGY (8) was last to jump. KIWIANA (3) and WHAT I LIKE (4) were both tightened in the run to the first bend losing ground after MOBILIZE (2) had shifted up the track. SUSAN JEWEL (6) came together with OPAWA PAUL (5) soon after and lost ground. SUSAN JEWEL ran very wide on the first bend. KIWIANA was tightened at the end of the back straight losing ground. KIWIANA and SUSAN JEWEL were both found to be free of injury after post race veterinary checks. |
| Race 12 | Protexin Dash - C1 - 295 | OHOKA FAITH (4), HOMEBUSH FINE (5) and DREAM LARGE (6) were the last trio from the traps. Tightening into the bend as STRUGGLE IS REAL (2) ran outwards resulted in LIGNITE GIRL (3), OHOKA FAITH, DREAM LARGE and TAYLA'S FRIEND (7) all receiving interrupted runs and losing momentum. STRUGGLE IS REAL checked outwards off the heels of BLAZING HOT (8) on the home turn and continued to race very wide in the home straight. |
