Judicial report: The meeting was put back one race following Race 6 after a broken electrical wire was located on the lure. This allowed the necessary repairs to be completed.

Race 1 www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390 On the bend BRANDISH shifted outwards dictating BRINDEE'S BRO wider on the track. Rounding the bend ANOTHER MESSAGE which was racing in tight quarters made contact with the hind quarters of TAMASKA.
Race 2 SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C1 - 390 SAILORS COLLAR shifted outwards at the start tightening OPAWA EXPRESS onto PUKEKO THUNDER and OPAWA GOODIE. On the bend SAILORS COLLAR checked off the heels of OPAWA DARCEE which had improved to the lead. OPAWA GOODIE raced wide entering the home straight. SAILORS COLLAR raced wide in the home straight.
Race 3 SOUTHLAND AND OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457 Shortly after the start ABRASADOR shifted inwards which resulted in ARTIC ACTION, OPAWA GUMISIE, OPAWA TOP, TECHNIC, HERITAGE WATCH and UNO JAMES all making contact. TECHNIC was the worst effected runner in this incident when blundering badly losing its momentum. OPAWA GUMISIE and ARTIC ACTION were also badly checked. OPAWA GUMISIE and UNO JAMES jostled in the run to the bend. On the point of the bend ABRASADOR shifted inwards making contact with the leader OPAWA ROCKET. UNO JAMES shifted outwards on the bend checking ARTIC ACTION and OPAWA TOP. UNO JAMES raced wide on the bend forcing OPAWA TOP to also race wide. UNO JAMES continued to race wide for the remainder of the race. TECHNIC was treated by the veterinarian following this race for a puncture wound to a right hind toe with a 5 day stand-down recommended. OPAWA TOP was also examined following this race by the on course veterinarian and found to be suffering from a suspected fracture to the near-side hind leg with a 6 week stand-down recommended.
Race 4 ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM STAKES - C2/3 - 390 OPAWA IDOL jumped awkwardly at the start. EL SID which gave ground rounding the bend and appeared uneven in its galloping action was examined by the veterinarian post race. The examination confirmed EL SID had suffered thigh muscle injury with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 5 SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 390 JOYNER KERSEE and ANOTHER KEY were slow to begin. OPAWA HOG ran outwards in the run to the bend before shifting back inwards. ROADWORKS raced wide on the turn. OPAWA HOG and ANOTHER KEY made contact on the bend.
Race 6 ADDED ENERGY DASH - C2/3 - 390 On the point of the bend HOMEBUSH CHOPPER shifted inwards tightening ANOTHER FAN on its inner. Shortly afterwards KINGMAN shifted outwards forcing ANOTHER FAN onto HOMEBUSH CHOPPER with ANOTHER FAN losing its back footing and several lengths. RAINCHECK raced wide on the bend. ANOTHER FAN was subjected to a post race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 7 INVERCARGILL STAKES - C3 - 457 ALBIE MCLEOD was slow to begin. ALBIE MCLEOD and OPAWA STELLA bumped on the bend resulting in OPAWA STELLA racing wide. OPAWA STELLA, THRILLING MARTY and BOUND TO ERUPT all raced wide in the home straight.
Race 8 MID-WINTER STAKES - C2 - 390 At the jump the muzzle on MILLIE'S BOY become loose. SMOKING MARLEY shifted inwards at the jump resulting in NO MORE BEERSIES being checked. SMOKING MARLEY continued to shift inwards over the early stages making contact with NEW THANG. SMOKING MARLEY raced wide on the bend. In the home straight STENSON and MILLIE'S BOY which were racing in tight quarters bumped on several occasions.
Race 9 BRENDON BURKE @ RAY WHITE - C4 - 390 HOMEBUSH ROCKY and JINJA LOCH bumped over the early stages. On the bend HOMEBUSH ERROL shifted inwards with THRILLING SPELL on its inside being checked. HOMEBUSH ERROL also lost its momentum in this incident. HOMEBUSH PAIGE was tightened prior to the home straight before checking off the heels of HOMEBUSH ROCKY.
Race 10 WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 457 LA KINKS was very slow to begin.
Race 11 CONGRATULATIONS ESCAMENO - C1/2 - 457 On the bend PUKEKO PROWLER was tightened on the inside of OPAWA ROB. FLIP FLIPPA shifted off the heels of EXPECT DELAY shortly afterwards. CHAIMBO shifted off the heels of EXPECT DELAY rounding the turn. OPAWA ROB and PUKEKO BOLT jostled prior to the home straight. OPAWA TOM was held up prior to the home straight.
Race 12 justracing.com.au - C4/5 - 390 This race was rescheduled to 4.05pm due to the delay earlier in the day. ANIU and WHEELCHAIR NORM bumped in the run to the bend. Rounding the turn HOMEBUSH KELSO was checked and stumbled when racing to the outside of ANIU which shifted outwards marginally.
