THESEUS (4) shifted up the track into the bend pushing CAWBOURNE KITT (6) and LICK IT UP wider on the track. THESEUS and LICK IT UP both ran wide on the home turn. |
| Race 2 | Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Heat 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1 | ACAMAS (1) and ARCTIC ACTION (6) were the last pair on jumping. MAUDIE'S BABE (4) shifted outwards in the early stages placing CANDID ANGEL (5) and UNO SHAY (7) in restricted room. ACAMAS, CANDID ANGEL and ARCTIC ACTION all came together with a lap to run when towards the rear. UNO SHAY ran outwards into the first bend pushing OPAWA AMBER (8) wider on the track. ARCTIC ACTION shifted outwards in the home straight causing a slight check to UNO BRENT (3). |

GORDONS MY MATE (1) and MANDI MAE (4) were both badly checked into the bend due to tightening from outside runners with GRAYSON BLUE (9) dragged down and losing momentum. WHAT A PARTY (7), LIN BAXTER (10) and GORDONS MY MATE all raced wide on the home turn. GRAYSON BLUE was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Heat 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2 | HUMAN INSTINCT (6) was a late scratching at kenneling with swelling above its dew claw and metacarpals. MC LOVIN' (7) and SPINE CHILLING (9) were the last pair on jumping. NINA BAXTER (2) and PRIVATE ACTION (4) were both badly tightened and checked in the run to the first bend after OPAWA GUMISIE (8) had run inwards and NINA BAXTER had shifted up the track. NINA BAXTER and PRIVATE ACTION again collided on two occasions on the first bend dropping out. UNO JAMES (5) ran outwards into the first bend checking SPINE CHILLING and MC LOVIN'. UNO JAMES continued to race wide throughout. SPINE CHILLING completed a somersault at the lure and together with UNO JAMES, NINA BAXTER and PRIVATE ACTION was referred to the vet for assessment with all dogs being cleared of injury. |
| Race 5 | Business Time At Stud Dash - C0 - 295 | OPAL JEWEL (10) ran inwards in the early stages pushing TATUM BAXTER (4) and WHERES CANDY (3) down the track. HARSESIS (2) checked off heels into the bend and lost momentum with TATUM BAXTER and WHERES CANDY being inconvenienced in behind. CAWBOURNE DOZER (6) and MARTY MCMOTH (7) were both forced wide as a result. The pacemaking OPAL JEWEL ran outwards in the home straight. |

BADUZZI (1) was tightened and ran outwards into the bend after TEPIRITA FUNKITA (4) had run inwards and pushed JINJA TILLY (3) down the track with BEDUZZI causing checks to CHIEF BAXTER (2) and ANOTHER RIDDLE (5) with CHIEF BAXTER falling. In the home straight LUCAS SCOTT checked outwards off the heels of PROMISES MAID (7). CHIEF BAXTER was cleared of any injury by the vet following this race. |
| Race 7 | Amber Cleaning Services Distance Feature - C0d - 645 | KNOW WORTH (9) shifted outwards in the early stages pushing CAWBOURNE WITCH (5) and KNOW CLOWN (6) wider on the track. KNOW CLOWN checked off the heels of KNOW WORTH on the second bend. BRUISER BALE (1) ran wide in the back straight forcing KNOW CLOWN over extra ground. |
| Race 8 | Hurunui Hotel Dash - C2 - 295 | TONY'S CHOICE (2) and CAWBOURNE ROWAN (4) were the last to jump. CABARITA (6) ran inwards in the back straight pushing ONLY GOT TIME (10) down the track and checking LIL DANNY RASCAL (3). Into the bend ANOTHER GROOM (8) lost ground after angling inwards and coming together with NEW THANG (7). ONLY GOT TIME was then checked when in behind ANOTHER GROOM and ran outwards with CABARITA unable to avoid these runners and falling. CABARITA and ANOTHER GROOM were both referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury. |
| Race 9 | Greyhound As Pets Sprint - C2 - 295 | RICK'S TREASURE (6) crossed to the rail into the bend causing tightening BLONDE TORI (2) which lost ground and ran outwards causing inconvenience to KNOW CHEERS (4), CHAIMBO (7) and HOMEBUSH FLYTE (9). On the home turn GOLDSTAR ROSIE (1) angled outwards pushing SHEZA GAMBLE (5), HOMEBUSH FLYTE and CHAIMBO wider on the track. |

STICH UP (6) was tightened into the first bend and lost ground. GOLDSTAR AVERY angled outwards on the first bend pushing ELWOOD SENSATION and BOSTON BILLY wider. |
