CAWBOURNE SARAH ran outwards entering the bend forcing WHEELIE CHILLIE into the line of ANOTHER PLANE which was checked. WHEELIE CHILLIE then ran outwards colliding with SPOT ON MAGGIE which was then further hampered by the trailing FIVE KAY LEG. |
| Race 2 | HARRISON HIRE MASTER C1 FINAL - C1f - 520 | SHERIFF ROSCOE was slow to begin. NERO ran inwards from the start colliding with CAWBOURNE ARIES. Favoured runner GOODTIME MIKE settled in midfield and failed to make any discernible ground in the home straight. GOODTIME MIKE was referred to the Veterinarian following the race and cleared of injury. |
| Race 3 | J P PRINT (PETONE) C4 - C4 - 305 | BIGTIME PULSE and HOMEBUSH OLIVE came together and bumped leaving the boxes. GRAND ALLEGRO was checked entering the bend when awkwardly near the heels of ALL IN BERLIN which ran inwards. GRAND ALLEGRO then shifted outwards contacting the hindquarters of ALL IN BERLIN which was unbalanced. BIGTIME PULSE and HOMEBUSH OLIVE which trailed were hampered when unable to avoid GRAND ALLEGRO. ALL IN BERLIN went off stride rounding the bend when bumped by EL JETTA which had improved to the inside. |
| Race 4 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | SENORITA TINA ran inwards shortly after the start bumping with SWEET AS BRO which in turn bumped with the hindquarters of WINNING IS EASY which was unbalanced, losing ground. ALLEGRO MASTER and SENORITA TINA came together and bumped approaching the bend, with ALLEGRO MASTER being checked shortly after when awkwardly near the heels of SENORITA TINA which shifted outwards. ALLEGRO MASTER was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and found to have pain in the right shoulder and over the left deltoid muscle. |
| Race 5 | WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | SCOTT NO MATES ran inwards from the boxes bumping with ALLEGRO CLASS. ALLEGRO TOUCH shifted inwards shortly after the start hampering EXPONENTIAL LILY and BLUE AND CURLY. EXPONENTIAL LILY then had to check entering the bend when improving up onto the heels of ALLEGRO TOUCH. PLENTY OF TIME checked outwards off the heels of SCOTT NO MATES rounding the bend resulting in SERENA ROSE and EXPONENTIAL LILY being hampered. |
| Race 6 | INDULGE SKIN SPA, WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 520 | WALL AGE ran inwards entering the first bend crowding MEG'S ME MUM, I'M A CATCH and OPAWA TOKEN, with MEG'S ME MUM making heaving contact with the hindquarters of WALL AGE when awkwardly placed on that runners heels. MEG'S ME MUM then ran up onto WALL AGE resulting in that runner being dragged down to the track. As a result, I'M A CATCH was unable to avoid WALL AGE, becoming unbalanced and falling. WALL AGE and I'M A CATCH regained their footing and finished at the lure with both runners being referred to the Veterinarian for assessment. WALL AGE upon examination was found to have pain in both triceps muscles and I'M A CATCH was found to have pain in the right-hind gracilis muscle, with both runners incurring a (7) day stand-down. |
| Race 7 | KEENAN CONCRETE WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | CAWBOURNE PHILIP and ILLICIT TWIST came together and bumped leaving the boxes. ILLICIT TWIST ran inwards approaching the first bend tightening RED CRYSTAL which was severely unbalanced and forced into the line of WHERE'S SHIRAZ which had to check across the heels of RED CRYSTAL. |
| Race 8 | ALLAN BARNES 65TH BIRTHDAY BASH C2 - C2 - 305 | CAWBOURNE GEORGE ran inwards entering the bend crowding OPAWA MESSINI which then checked outwards off that runners heels resulting in KIRIBATI GIRL and WAIMAK DAVE being hampered. WAIMAK DAVE faltered rounding the bend and appeared indifferent in its action for the remainder. WAIMAK DAVE was referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. |
| Race 9 | WANGANUI SECURITY C 4 - C4 - 520 | CAWBOURNE MATTY and SWEET RUBYJANE bumped on several occasions in the early stages. CAWBOURNE MATTY then ran inwards entering the first bend checking SWEET RUBYJANE which came back onto GRADUATION which had to check outwards off that runners heels. PREMIER DIVISION ran wide entering the back straight hampering GRADER JACK which lost ground. |
| Race 10 | AON CPF C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | THOU ROMEO ran inwards shortly after the start bumping with OPAWA JACKIE and BOSTON HEART which was unbalanced, with all runners losing ground. RITZA DANNY was crowded entering the first bend between SPRING MAJOR and SMASH ALLEGRO which shifted inwards toward the running rail. OPAWA JACKIE made the first bend awkwardly and struck the running rail, losing ground. OPAWA JACKIE was referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. |

PEACOCK PRINCESS ran outwards in the early stages of the home straight contacting the hindquarters of RITZA ROSE which was unbalanced briefly. |
