Track: Good The track was presented in very good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: There were a number of Greyhounds scratched without penalty due to the recent flooding in the lower North Island which caused damage to some Trainers properties. The damage included access to and from one property and some disruption to Greyhounds daily routine at another property which possibly would have affected the Greyhounds ability to perform to their usual standard at this meeting.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	VEE SINTILATING began very awkwardly losing several lengths and he tailed the field throughout and finished last. GULLY CRUSHER was also slow to begin losing three lengths and finished in 2nd last place. DOUBLE ENTENDRE collided with hind quarters of MIGHTY BA BA going into the bend and they were both hampered for a short distance. MIGHTY BA BA was assessed by the Vet and found to have suffered from a cut to a hind foot.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305	EL MOVIN was slow to begin and settled back where she stayed throughout the race. LILY MAS SMOKING and PETITE JOY shifted in abruptly from the start and hampered PINK SHELLAC and CAWBOURNE LEGS for a short distance. CAWBOURNE LEGS shifted in going into the bend and this resulted in a check to CONSUMATE EASE which went back to near the rear and he never recovered.
Race 3	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ CO - C0 - 305	ANOTHER MISS shifted in going to the first corner and was galloped on by CASUAL SIPPER and RANGERS WALZ and dragged down behind. ANOTHER MISS then shifted in and brushed against the rail and she lost several lengths in the incidents and finished in last place. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and was cleared of injury.
Race 4	J P PRINT (PETONE) CO - C0 - 305	PISTOLS PRINCESS and GULLY YAPPA were slow to begin losing two lengths. ANOTHER PEARL eased out off the heels of HOMEBUSH MELVIN going into the bend and made contact with TEPIRITA AVEDON which was checked losing two lengths.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI CO - C0 - 520	CAWBOURNE ROMAN shifted in going to the first corner and hampered HARSH MISTRESS and ANOTHER MESSAGE and they lost ground. CAWBOURNE ROMAN then shifted out going into the first bend and caused checks to ABSINTHE MINDED and BOTANY CHRIS which were both forced a little wide on the bend. HARSH MISTRESS was checked entering the back straight and she lost four lengths and stayed back from there to finish in last place.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	SERVE YA PURPOSE, ELECTRIC DANDY and BLAZES CORPORAL bumped together when the start was made and they lost ground and settled back. CHOCDEE ALICE shifted in going into the bend and tightened WORKING JEWEL which went back onto ELECTRIC DANDY which was checked and went back to the rear. ELECTRIC DANDY never recovered and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 7	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	One of the favourites ALL IN ALL ran wide covering extra ground, particularly on the bend and he finished in last place.
Race 8	AON CPF C1 - C1 - 305	RAPPER DASH and HOMEBUSH TED were a little slow to begin. CAWBOURNE SHADOW, OPPORTUNIST and LAGOON FAME jostled together for a short distance soon after the start and CAWBOURNE SHADOW then shifted in and caused jostling to RAPPER DASH and HOMEBUSH TED. OPPORTUNIST was tightened between runners going into the first corner and was shuffled back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520	MR ZAFONIC was slow to begin and settled back. THRILLING AVA was checked losing three lengths in the approach to the back straight. MR ZAFONIC shifted in going into the back straight and checked WHITE LEGS which lost four lengths and she stayed back for the remainder of the race and finished in last place. THRILLING AVA was referred to the Vet for assessment with a laceration to a foot.
Race 10	INDULGE SKIN SPA C1 - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	TAKEAWAY was slow to begin and lost two lengths. HOMEBUSH DODGER shifted in going into the bend and checked OPEHU FLYER which lost a length. A short distance further on, PREMIER PRINCE and PIXIE DUST collided and they both lost ground with PIXIE DUST the most affected and she lost several lengths and all chance.
Race 12	KEENAN CONCRETE WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	MOMMA RAE, ACONAGUA, ANOTHER COVER and MISS MOHAWK bumped together for a short distance after the start and they lost ground and settled back. MISS MOHAWK recovered the best of the four and made up ground to finish in 3rd place.
Race 13	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	PRANCING BEE was very slow to begin losing several lengths. GOODTIME ALANNAH was awkwardly placed adjacent to the rail going into the bend and was checked and went back onto PRANCING BEE and they were both checked losing further ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 14	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	ASIA OSTEE shifted in abruptly when the start was made and caused checks to CAWBOURNE TIP, ZULU DEB, HOMEBUSH STEW, BITA BANTA and MACGYVER RAMA which all lost varying amounts of ground. HOMEBUSH STEW recovered the best of the affected runners and she finished in 3rd place.
