Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing condition through out the meeting. All other equipment operated well .
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Handler L Herbert was spoken to advisedly by the Stewards after being in front of the lure as the dogs were pulled up at the conclusion of race 11, this being a health & safety risk.

Race 1	MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint Series Final - C2f - 318	This race was delayed minutes at the request of Race Day Control due to a Harness race at Oamaru. In the run to the first bend FORTIS FIONA angled in on to COLD TURKEY and ALL IN ALL checking these runners ,FORTIS FIONA went sideways for a stride or so as ALL IN ALL caught her hindquarters and went back on to JAY LOW badly hampering this runner ,several strides on TENNESSEE SMILE angled inwards pushing MR DARCI across the face of COLD TURKEY and ALL IN ALL tightening these runners together where they tangled and jostled for some strides losing ground, all these runners lost ground and momentum allowing SOMEBODY TIFI from the wide box a clear uninterrupted run through out to get away to a comfortable lead to the line.
Race 2	DogZone Sprint - C0 - 318	This race was put back 2 minutes due to the delayed race from Oamaru. Soon after the start GOODTIME GAYLE angled across as BOTANY HOT SHOT came out resulting in these runners tightening and jostling for several strides, Racing in to the first bend COOKIE MONSTER towards the rear angled in sharply across the face of COOL MARLOW, PODIUM BONUS and BOTANY HOT SHOT with all these runners being checked getting on heels losing a fair amount of ground. Nearing the home turn COOL MARLOW ran out to avoid the heels of CHATEAU NUEF then ran in on to the shoulder of PODIUM BONUS hampering this runner for several strides.
Race 3	Trophies Plus Sprint Series Final - C1f - 318	In the run to the first bend OPAWA VENUS angled in across the face of BANBIT hampering this runner for a couple of strides. Racing across the top bend MADE TIME on the inner was hampered for some distance by CYCLONE LUSI on her outer when in the lead, nearing the home turn there was a line up in behind FRESCO STAR in the lead where ZIPPING TAY ran in to the hind of OPAWA VENUS pushing this runner sideways for a stride or two, MAKING YOU PAW on their outer was forced to raced widest in to the home straight when avoiding these dogs. Early in the run home BANBIT was forced to check out over the heels of MADE TIME losing a couple of lengths finishing in 4th placing at the line.
Race 4	All Sew Embroidery Sprint - C1 - 318	In the run down to the first bend HALLO STAR ran in bumping RENROY, a couple of strides on HALLO STAR ran in to the shoulder of RENROY again checking this runner causing her to stumble for a stride both dogs lost momentum losing ground back to a clear last in the running. As the field raced in to the home straight HALLO STAR on the inner ,RENROY on her outer angled in slightly as HALLO STAR came off the rail slightly ,HALLO STAR appeared to turn her head outwards for a stride when awkwardly placed at this point. After reviewing the close up due to the position of these two runners it couldn't be established clearly that HALLO STAR had turned her head for any other reason as both dogs being unbalanced for a couple of strides. HALLO STAR was referred to the vet as a precaution where no abnormalities were found.
Race 5	Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C2/3 - 527	From the jump MOCKING JAY ran in to the shoulder of CARAT'S PRINCE, WHAT THAT DOES was forced to race wide in to the bend on the first occasion , KIKI RHODE in behind was held up for a couple of strides at this point, soon after KIKI RHODE was forced to check off the heels of MOCKING JAY losing some momentum racing in the rear there after finishing and was observed to be uncomfortable in her galloping several times KIKI RHODE finished several lengths in last placing at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where she was found to have pain in the right wrist area a 14 day stand down was imposed.
Race 6	Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C1 - 318	JACK MCCOY ( fav ) was only fairly away from box 2, in the run to the first bend VIKING CRUISER angled in on to the shoulder of CARTER CASH resulting in this runner being checked back catching the heels of VIKING CRUISER, a stride or so on CONTEMPERANEOUS angled in on to JACK MCCOY and the hind of VIKING CRUISER. Racing on to the top bend CONTEMPERANEOUS came back off the heels of JETSUN STORM as SCREAMING SKULL improved angling inwards then out off the heels of JETSUN STORM resulting in JACK MCCOY running on to the hindquarters of SCREAMING SKULL going out in to the line of CARTER CASH this runner galloped on the hind of JACK MCCOY, CARTER CASH came off the back of this runner out on to the hind of SCREAMING SKULL ,wider out CONTEMPERANEOUS ran out off heels forcing YOUR'E LUCKY very wide on to the top bend ,JACK MCCOY recovered to finish in to 4th placing at the line ,SCREAMING SKULL ran very wide from the top bend in to the home straight finishing several lengths in the rear at the line. JACK MCCOY and SCREAMING SKULL were referred to the vet for assessment. JACK MCCOY was cleared of injury ,SCREAMING SKULL was found to have a right hock strain a 14 day stand down was imposed.
Race 7	Sel's TAB Mangere Stakes - C1 - 527	REGAZZA GINA began best from box 1 to lead towards the bend on the first occasion where she was forced to check off the heels of RUBY MURRAY as this runner angled across towards the rail and the lead ,REGAZZA GINA ran outwards sharply at this point severely hampering MISS VELOCETTE, OPAWA PEARL and LOCKETT IN EDDIE widest around this bend , LOCKETT IN EDDIE was again checked and bumped wide as they raced to the back straight as REGAZZA GINA bumped OPAWA PEARL again outwards ,LOCKETT IN EDDIE lost momentum and several lengths back to last in the running and was unable to improve there after finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 8	Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C3 - 318	Racing in to the first bend WHERE'S CARLOS crossed in over the heels of FESTIVAL MISS and CAWBOURNE KIWI, FESTIVAL MISS had trouble for a stride or two trying to turn in to the bend where JACK MAGIC made contact with her hindquarters stumbling slightly for a stride as he angled inwards . Racing on to the top bend FESTIVAL MISS was pushed very wide as SACRED CAN YOU pushed CAWBOURNE KIWI out, FESTIVAL MISS after covering a lot of extra ground was handy in to the home straight weakening slightly back to 4th placing at the line.
Race 9	Bellbird Arms Tavern Stakes - C4 - 527	Racing in to the bend on the first occasion there was tightening in behind the leaders as PREMIER OSTI was forced to check off heels going inwards on to YES NO MAYBE ,both dogs bumped and jostled for a few strides, JOE JOE ( fav ) was forced widest in to and around the first bend, entering the back straight OUR HEISENBERG was checked as GOOD RETURN going to the lead crossed down to the rail , OUR HEISENBERG went back on to LUCKY MAN who moved out bumping YES NO MAYBE out on to PREMIER OSTI ,YES NO MAYBE was forced to race wide along the back straight and was observed to be uncomfortable in her galloping action there after finishing in the rear at the line . YES NO MAYBE was referred to the vet for assessment where she was found to have an injury to the left distal radius a 60 day stand down was imposed.
Race 10	Carol's TABS Sprint - C4 - 318	Soon after the start there was bumping and jostling between MR MUMBLES, MISS UNIVERSE, TONGARIRO coming in on to BRIGHT STAR hampering this runner for several strides, BRIGHT STAR lost a length or so. Racing in to the first bend IT'S THE DREAM angled across on to MR MUMBLES pushing this runner in on to BRIGHT STAR jostling her again for a couple of strides, racing on to top bend MISS UNIVERSE crossed out over heels running in to HASHTAG JOSH bumping this runner off balance where he went very wide on the top bend , just ahead IT'S THE DREAM and MR MUMBLES came together losing a couple of lengths.
Race 11	Happy Retirement Fireman's Legacy Sprint - C4/5 - 318	Racing away from the start there was bumping and jostling as CALAMITY FREE raced across and EXPLOSIVE OSTI angled outwards resulting in ATOONGA AIR and LITTLE RASCAL being checked back in behind , CALAMITY FREE kept on racing across forcing PRAIRE KACHINA in on to EXPLOSIVE OSTI, RASSO and YEABOAH ( fav ) who had missed the start by several lengths. Racing in to the first bend CALAMITY FREE again attempted to angle inwards RASSO tried to keep his position pushing outwards to keep off the heels of LOOKS ALL GOOD resulting in YEABOAH being checked on the inner along with ATOONGA AIR and EXPLOSIVE OSTI.
Race 12	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1/2 - 318	Racing away from the boxes FOUND ROMAN and POPCORN SUTTON came together hard ,POPCORN SUTTON went off stride momentarily. Racing in to the first bend ROCKETSHIP MAC in the lead crossed to the rail across FRENCH CURVES resulting in this runner being checked back a couple of lengths soon after having check out over this runners heels again going back on to ACONAGUA who stumbled for a stride losing momentum going back on to AZURE REAMS checking this runner. WINSOME GEORGE was away well in the initial stages before drifting out to the rear finishing a margin in last placing at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have hock strain to the right hind a 21 day stand down was imposed.
