Track: Good The meeting was conducted in very bad weather conditions which was very unpleasant for the participants. The track was presented in good order and held up very well considering the fact that heavy rain fell at times throughout the meeting.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C3 - C3 - 305	BIGTIME PULSE and ZULU MERCEDES were the slowest to begin losing a length. HANIFY ACE shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to CODIE BREA, OPAWA SHAIDEN, FASTBACK KING and BIGTINME PULSE which all lost ground. BIGTIME PULSE checked over the heels of BIT COIN on the bend and lost two lengths.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C3 - C3 - 305	MIGHTY MAGIC and APPLAUSE were the slowest to get into stride from the start and they settled back. POPSTAR ROCKET shifted in going into the bend and crowded SHOWEM BABY which eased and shifted out and forced MIGHTY MAGIC and APPLAUSE to race a little wide on the bend.
Race 3	KEENAN CONCRETE C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	THAT'S KING checked over the heels of NITRO MARY going into the first corner and a short distance further on, PUNCH ON JAIME also checked off the back of NITRO MARY and shifted out to collide with AEROPLANE RITZY which was hampered and forced wide into the bend. PEACOCK PRINCESS shifted out when entering the home straight and jostled with MEMORY LAPSE for a short distance .
Race 4	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C4 - C4 - 305	BIGTIME DASHER and EMPTY BANK were slow to begin and settled back. EMPTY BANK recovered the best of the two and made up ground to finish in 4th place. BIGTIME DASHER and WINFIELD AUTUMN bumped together going into the bend and WINFIELD AUTUMN lost three lengths and she never recovered and finished in last place. MISS ALLEGRO suffered a spike wound and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 5	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C4 - C4 - 305	STELLAR FORCE led from the start until going into the first corner where she jostled with ALLEGRO TOUCH which improved on her inside. POPSOME TAGS then went past on the outside and shifted in which further hampered STELLAR FORCE and she went back through the field and was checked from behind when ARMED FORCES was unable to avoid her.
Race 6	NZ Breeders Stakes Ht 1 (Gp 1) - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	PREMIER DIVISION shifted out from the rail going into the first corner and OPAWA JACKIE shifted in which resulted in tightening and checks to OPAWA ROSIE, PROTONIC PEDRO and LET'S GO LETTIE which were racing in between. LET'S GO LETTIE was the most affected and she was forced wide losing three lengths.
Race 7	NZ Breeders Stakes Ht2 (Gp 1) - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	KILCHURN shifted in going into the first corner and dictated the line of NICKY NOIR which was then galloped on by BOTANY RICHIE and fell. BOTANY RICHIE and OPAWA DIESEL were both hampered in the incident and they lost ground and finished well back. NICKY NOIR regained her feet, finished onto the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have suffered pelvic bruising.
Race 8	AON CPF C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	GRADER JACK was slow to begin and was tightened between runners and settled at the rear but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. GRADUATION shifted ground out on the first turn and checked LOCHINVAR MAUI which lost three lengths and stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish last. LOCHINVAR MAUI was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a webbing laceration to a hind paw.
Race 9	INDULGE SKIN SPA C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	CAWBOURNE BRICK shifted in from the start and crowded RED CRYSTAL and MISS SELFIES with MISS SELFIES the most affected and she went back to the rear and never recovered. BIG RED CHEV lost his place adjacent to the rail going into the back straight and went back several lengths but rallied over the final stages to make up ground for 5th place.
Race 10	"Happy 60th Birthday Leonie" Distance Feature - C1/2d - 645	One of the better supported runners CAWBOURNE MIAMI started from box 8 and got back from the start and stayed back through the early and middle stages but was observed to be making up ground quite well at the finish although still only finishing in 7th place.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C5 - C5 - 305	Two of the better supported runners PARISIAN MAGIC and MICKEY TEE were among the slowest to begin and they never got into positions to challenge the leaders and finished towards the rear of the field. BLUE AND CURLY was hampered for some distance in the back straight and into the bend when unable to clear the heels of HOMEBUSH OLIVE until approaching the entrance to the home straight.
Race 12	THE DOGZONE C5 - C5 - 305	SWEET AS BRO shifted ground out when the start was made and hampered SCOTT NO MATES and ALLEGRO CHASER which was the most affected and she lost three lengths. SWEET AS BRO galloped on the heels of SCOTT NO MATES going into the bend and checked that runner which lost several lengths and all chance. SWEET AS BRO also lost ground in the incident.
