| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C2 - 295 | LA FONTAINE (1), GO TOMMO (2) and PREMIER PRINCE (8) were slow to begin. MAY MAY LAST (5) and FAIR CRUZIN (6) came together racing into the first bend. HAMPDEN ON TAP (3) and TOKEN ACE (4) came together rounding the bend. When questioned regarding the improved performance of ADROIT (7), Handler A Waretini explained that a wide draw together with a recent downgrade had helped the dog to be more competitive. Miss Waretini added that the dog had also been trialling well in recent weeks. |
| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Kerry McInerney Dash - C3 - 295 | BACKCHAT HARRY (3) and CONALOO (4) came together at the start. SOUMILLION (6) checked off the heels of KYLA ROSE (7) approaching the first bend. CONALOO and KYLA ROSE came together rounding the bend with both dogs losing ground. When spoken to regarding the improved performance of STARBURST TERRY (8), Handler S Hurd explained that the dog had appreciated the wide box draw and a downgrade in class for tonight's race. |
| Race 3 | Friday Place Pick Dash - C2 - 295 | ABBAS JUNIOR (1) and BUDGIE RIGHT (3) were slow to begin. WILL EXCITE (6) and CEC DIVINE (7) came together in the early stages. SHOWROOM (4) made contact with the rear of TEPIRITA HENDRIX (2) racing into the first bend resulting in TEPIRITA HENDRIX losing momentum and checking the trailing ABBAS JUNIOR and BUDGIE RIGHT. WILL EXCITE, CEC DIVINE and MAGIC ARROW (8) collided racing into the first bend with WILL EXCITE losing ground. WILL EXCITE checked off the heels of BUDGIE RIGHT rounding the bend. ABBAS JUNIOR was examined by the Vet following the race and cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Power Farming Canterbury Sprint - C3 - 295 | ON THE LEVEL (7), COVER TO COVER (6) and BILLY WEST (5) collided in the early stages. Racing into the first bend GOLDSTAR BOMBER (1) and LITTLE MIDNIGHT (2) came together with LITTLE MIDNIGHT losing momentum. LITTLE MIDNIGHT and ON THE LEVEL bumped rounding the bend. |
| Race 5 | Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C2 - 520 | NICKY NOIR (7) was slow to begin. CAWBOURNE KENNY (2) checked off the heels of BLUSHING BELLE (3) shortly after the start. Racing into the first bend OPAWA ROB (1), CAWBOURNE KENNY and WHAT I LIKE (5) collided with the trailing CAWBOURNE KENNY and NICKY NOIR being checked by CAWBOURNE KENNY which had lost momentum. PLUTONIUM (8) shifted inwards at the end of the back straight hampering OPAWA ROB. BLUSHING BELLE was tightened by WHAT I LIKE rounding the final bend. |
| Race 6 | Mac Developments Dash - C4 - 295 | BOTANY WIN (7) was slow to begin. RICK'S TERRA (3), OPAWA OPAL (4) and HOMEBUSH PAIGE (5) collided at the start. RUSTY KNIFE (6) shifted inwards in the early stages and came together with HOMEBUSH PAIGE. TERRA ANNIE (2) checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH PAIGE rounding the bend and shifted outwards checking RUSTY KNIFE. When questioned regarding the improved performance of BUSINESS AFFAIR (1), Trainer J Dunn explained that the bitch had appreciated the inside box draw and recent downgrade in class. |
| Race 7 | C.T.V. Sprint - C5 - 295 | KNOW PRIDE (7) was slow to begin. HETFIELD (4) and PUMA PANTS (1) shifted ground in the early stages and came together with GRAND APACHE (2) and TEE TIME (3). Shortly after ZEBIDIAH (8) shifted inwards checking LITTLE REGUS (6), HETFIELD, ECKLES (5), TEE TIME, GRAND APACHE and PUMA PANTS. Racing into the first bend LITTLE REGUS was tightened by ZEBIDIAH and came together with ECKLES and PUMA PANTS. KNOW PRIDE was also briefly hampered. TEE TIME was placed in restricted room between LITTLE REGUS and GRAND APACHE rounding the bend. |
| Race 8 | Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C2 - 520 | BRISEUR DE REVES (7) was slow to begin. KNOW CLOWN (3) checked off the heels of OPAWA ROCKY (4) shortly after the start. RUN ZOLA (6) shifted inwards checking STICH UP (5) approaching the first bend. Shortly after ALBIE JAY (2) tightened ANOTHER LIZ (1) which lost ground and shifted outwards resulting in checks to OPAWA ROCKY and STICH UP. ANOTHER LIZ and OPAWA ROCKY came together rounding the first bend. KNOW CLOWN checked off the heels of STICH UP racing into the back straight. MISS VALLEY INN (8) shifted down the track at the end of the back straight hampering RUN ZOLA and ALBIE JAY. |
| Race 9 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C2/3 - 520 | KNOW LAUGHING (5) and CAWBOURNE WAR (8) were slow to begin. HELLO BLONDIE (6) and JINJA LOCH (7) bumped at the start. CAWBOURNE PHILIP (4) was forced wider by TINA (1) racing into the first bend and came together with KNOW LAUGHING. TINA shifted outwards leaving the final bend and collided with KNOW LAUGHING. TINA and CAWBOURNE WITCH (3) came together late in the run home. |
| Race 10 | Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C4/5 - 520 | OPAWA NO EAR (5) began awkwardly. CAN'T CATCH TIM (4), OPAWA NO EAR and OPAWA DIESEL (6) came together at the start. Racing into the first bend OPAWA DIESEL, JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (7) and DREAM COLLECTOR (8) were checked by CAN'T CATCH TIM which shifted outwards. OPAWA ROSIE (1) was tightened by KNOW CLASS (2) at the end of the back straight. CAN'T CATCH TIM became awkwardly placed on the heels of OPAWA NO EAR rounding the final bend. DREAM COLLECTOR was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury after falling heavily at the lure following the race. |
| Race 11 | Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C5 - 295 | IDOL GIRL (2) and CAMSIDE GOLD (3) came together at the start. KERAMUS (4) and PLAGIARISM (8) collided in the early stages with PLAGIARISM then coming together with CAMSIDE GOLD. INSPECTOR SPOT (6) shifted inwards racing along the back straight checking AIDEN BAXTER (5). Racing into the first bend INSPECTOR SPOT was checked by CAWBOURNE JELLY (7) resulting in INSPECTOR SPOT losing ground and hampering RED HOT FURY (1) and AIDEN BAXTER which were both forced wider on the track. KERAMUS made contact with the hind quarters of AIDEN BAXTER early in the run home. KERAMUS and PLAGIARISM were both referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have minor foot injuries. |
| Race 12 | Livamol Sprint - C4 - 295 | BUTTERBEAN (2) began awkwardly. BERRIDALE KING (7) was hampered by QUEDRAGO (6) at the start. Racing into the first bend COLLECTING MONEY (1) was checked by CAWBOURNE DANIAL (3). FLYING SWAN (8) raced wide leaving the final bend and in the home straight. |
