Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: (1) Due to a serious road accident north of Dunedin and closure of State Highway One trainer J.Dunn was unable to get to Forbury Park and as a result the greyhounds in his care were declared late scratchings without penalty at 1.20pm. The greyhounds were in Race 11 (ECKLES, PLAGIARISM) and Race 12 (CAWBOURNE DANIAL and NO LEAF CLOVER). (2) The trainer of SAN SEBASTIAN (JF Allen) was issued with a warning under Rule 87.1y and reminded of his obligations under the NZGRA Dress Code.

Race 1	Otago First4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	EL MOVIN was slow to jump. In the run to the turn APOLLO KING pushed outwards checking ANOTHER MESSAGE and dictating FIESTY FORTUNE wide into the turn. The trailing EL MOVIN was also pushed wide on the track losing ground.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 310	OPAWA LAZ jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. From the jump CABARITA ran inwards from the No. 8 box and HOMEBUSH BUCK shifted ground outwards from the No. 3 box with resulting checks to BUSINESS BOSS, AIR EXPRESS and CAWBOURNE CRUZE. Into the turn SMASH EASY pushed outwards checking CABARITA.
Race 3	Green Island Barber Stakes - C0 - 545	SPRINGS ETERNAL was slow into stride. IGNITE GIRL shifted out racing into the first bend making firm contact with GOLDSTAR PRO.
Race 4	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C1 - 545	HOMEBUSH SLINKY shifted in at the starting hampering KNOW WORTH which lost ground. In the run down the first straight SUBTERFUGE has shifted in and crowded and buffeted HOMEBUSH SLINKY who in turn was shifted inwards on to PUKEKO PROWLER who was turned sideways KNOW WORTH was obliged to improve wide rounding the first bend.
Race 5	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Sprint - C1 - 310	WINNE WILLOW and OPAWA HOG were slow to jump. Into the turn as the field tightened PUKEKO WARRIOR shifted ground outwards and STENSON ran inwards with resulting checks to OPAWA HOG and SARAH'S DOMAIN. Shortly afterwards STENSON checked off the heels of OPAWA EXPRESS and was clipped from behind by OPAWA HOG who in turn ran outwards dictating SARAH'S DOMAIN wide on the track.
Race 6	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C1/2 - 310	FANCY KIWI jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. From the jump ANOTHER LIZ shifted inwards checking HOMEBUSH RILEY. In the run to the turn FAIR CRUZIN ran inwards tightening EL SID, with the trailing ANOTHER LIZ also inconvenienced.
Race 7	Foley Plumbers Ltd Sprint - C1/2 - 310	From the jump MILLIE'S BOY ran sharply outwards from the No. 4 box checking WRINKLES, ANOTHER FAN and EYE ADAM. In the run to the turn NO BRO ran inwards dictating ANOTHER FAN into the path of EYE ADAM who in turn checked JASPER HAKA.
Race 8	Speedprint Shop Stakes - C2 - 545	GLENN IS GOODESY was slow to jump, while OPAWA ROB and OPAWA ROCKY bumped and lost ground. At the end of the back straight an improving OPAWA ROB lost momentum when STICH UP shifted ground downwards.
Race 9	Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C3/4 - 545	BOUND TO ERUPT was slow to jump. Into the first turn BOUND TO ERUPT shifted ground inwards checking OPAWA STELLA. On the first turn EXPECT DELAY checked off the heels of RAINCHECK and went back on top of HELLO BLONDIE who lost ground.
Race 10	Blasting and Coating Services Sprint - C3 - 310	Race start time was delayed two minutes at the request of Raceday Control. From the jump OPAWA IDOL pushed outwards from the No. 6 box checking HOMEBUSH FLYTE and WHITEY'S GONE on his outer.
Race 11	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Dash - C5 - 310	From the jump TEE TIME and SPRINKLES bumped and lost momentum with the trailing PUMA PANTS also checked. Into the turn TEE TIME shifted ground outwards tightening SPRINKLES.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 16th June - C4 - 310	KNOW MAGIC and OPAWA OPAL were slow to jump. Into the turn BOTANY WIN shifted ground inwards checking SHADOW APACHE. In the home straight BOTANY WIN ran inwards tightening OPAWA OPAL who was checked and struck the running rail. After the race OPAWA OPAL was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. The trainer of SAN SEBASTIAN (JF Allen) was shown the video replay of the race and advised that SAN SEBASTIAN had appeared momentarily to take his eyes off the lure, but the video was inconclusive. There had been no marring of any other runner and the greyhound had finished on. Stewards deemed no further action was necessary.
