Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Judicial report: RUBBED OUT completed a Trial which was required under the provisions of Rule 72.13 after turning in the boxes at Waikato GRC on 29.05.15.
FOREVER AUTUMN turned his head and shifted out towards SPIRIT RUN going into the first bend and forced that runner wider on the track. FOREVER AUTUMN was initially found by the Vet to have gracilus and tricep muscle pain with a 7 day stand down recommended. Some time later, FOREVER AUTUMN was again presented to the Vet and found to be developing water diabetes / acidosis with a 21 day stand down recommended. However, the Stewards were of the opinion that water diabetes / acidosis was not an injury incurred during the race and as a result, FOREVER AUTUMN was found to have failed to pursue the lure throughout the race and was stood down for 28 days under Rule 79.1 b and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing.

Race 1 WANGANUI GRC C0 - C0 - 305 TAKEAWAY and PEEJAY PRINGLES were slow to begin and settled back. BOSTON THUNDER shifted in going into the bend and crowded ROSIE FOSI and WHATU TRENDY and they were briefly unbalanced and lost two lengths. LILY MA'S SMOKING was awkwardly placed in restricted room going into the bend and was shuffled back to the rear and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 2 PRESIDENTS TROPHY C0 F - C0 - 520 KA PAI was slow to begin and lost a length. KICK AND PASS shifted in from the start and caused checks to FOREVER AUTUMN and SOLSTICE which both settled back. SPIRIT RUN shifted out going into the first bend and forced KICK AND PASS to race wide into the bend. A short distance further on, FOREVER AUTUMN turned its head and shifted out onto SPIRIT RUN and forced that runner and KICK AND PASS wider on the bend. FOREVER AUTUMN was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have gracilus and tricep muscle pain with a 7 days stand down recommended. Sometime later, FOREVER AUTUMN was again presented to the Vet and found to be developing water diabetes / acidosis with a 21 day stand down recommended. However, the Stewards view was that water diabetes / acidosis was not an injury and found that FOREVER AUTUMN had failed to pursue the lure throughout and under Rule 79.1 b, the dog was stood down for 28 days and is required to complete a satisfactory trial .before next racing. KICK AND PASS shifted out entering the home straight and checked KA PAI which lost a length. AGENT MICK was checked entering the back straight when SOLSTICE went past on the outside and AGENT MICK lost three lengths.
Race 3 UNITED TRAVEL NEW PLYMOUTH C1 - C1 - 305 The favourite BRILLIANT ASHLEE began awkwardly losing three lengths but she recovered well to finish in 3rd place. HOMEBUSH BOUNCE and FLIRT WITH ME bumped together soon after the start and lost momentum briefly. BLITZING FLYER and LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE were checked going into the bend and they went back to the rear and stayed there to finish in the last two places.
Race 4 ELTHAM VETERINARY SERVICES C1 - C1 - 305 KERRY LANE began awkwardly losing ground and settled back. She then shifted in going to the first corner and made contact with the rail and became unbalanced losing further ground and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have stopper bone pain. HOMEBUSH MISHA, BIGTIME REDFOO and SKINNY ANKLES jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and they all lost ground. SKINNY ANKLES and BIGTIME REDFOO both recovered well and made up ground for 3rd and 4th places.
Race 5 CAROLS TAB AUCKLAND C1 - C1 - 520 NERO shifted out slightly going into the first bend and bumped CAWBOURNE GRACIE which in turn shifted out onto MEG'S ME MUM and they both lost momentum for a short distance. NERO appeared to falter slightly on two occasions on the final bend when possibly being bumped and he drifted back to eventually finish in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. RICKI'S REBEL was also referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have an old injury above the right carpus but this was painless and a stand down was not required.
Race 6 RAYMOND BUCKLAND RECYCLING HAWERA C2 - C2 - 305 CAWBOURNE TEASH shifted in going into the bend and crowded SNOW DEMON which was forced in onto SHOWEM BABY and she was checked losing several lengths and never recovered and finished last. A short distance further on, FIVE KAY LEG shifted in and checked SNOW DEMON which lost a length. SHOWEM BABY was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH DAWN was also examined by the Vet at the Handlers request and cleared of injury.
Race 7 DIMOCKS HAWERA C2 - C2 - 520 GIRL PRIDE and HOMEBUSH SPOOK were slow to begin and settled back. GIRL PRIDE then drifted further behind and eventually finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pain across an old fracture line on a hind foot.
Race 8 PAK N SAVE HAWERA C3 - C3 - 305 WORBOYS was slow to begin losing two lengths and he then raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished well back in 2nd last place.
Race 9 WAIKATO GRC SUPPORTERS C4 - C4 - 520 The well supported trio of CHECK THE MAIL, BOSTON HEART and THOU ROMEO bumped together when the start was made and they lost ground and settled back. They then jostled together for some distance in the run to the first corner losing further ground and never recovered and finished in the last three places.
Race 10 SOUTH TARANAKI CLUB TARANAKI CUP C5 - C5 - 520 GRADER JACK was slow to begin losing two lengths. He then eased off the heels of OPAWA ROSIE going into the first corner and shifted out forcing LAGOON KOOTCHY to race wide into the first bend over extra ground.
Race 11 UNITED TRAVEL ELTHAM C4 - C4 - 305 WINFIELD WINTER and JINJA COLL were slow to begin and settled back. STELLAR FORCE began well to be handy going to the first corner but was checked from behind and unbalanced. SERENA ROSE then shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to CAWBOURNE MATTY, STELLAR FORCE, BLUE AND CURLY, JINJA COLL, WINFIELD WINTER and SEMANTICS and STELLAR FORCE was the most affected and fell. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have bruising.
Race 12 AUCKLAND GRC SUPPORTERS C5 - C5 - 305 BOSTON BLAZE and ARMED FORCES bumped when the start was made and lost ground. BIG BOY DENO was awkwardly placed going into the bend and was checked back to the rear and never recovered.
