| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C0 - 295 | ANOTHER CHARM (8), MAIA BAXTER (7) and JACKPOT JAKE (6) came together at the start. WHAT A PARTY (5), EUG THE SCROOGE (4) and COOL GYPSY (3) also came together in the early stages. Racing along the back straight EUG THE SCROOGE and COOL GYPSY collided with COOL GYPSY losing ground. Racing into the first bend WHAT A PARTY and ANOTHER CHARM collided with both dogs losing momentum. MAIA BAXTER was held up for clear racing room as a result. ANOTHER CHARM and WHAT A PARTY were examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Dash - C0 - 295 | ARCHIES DIJON (4) was slow to begin. TAYLA'S FRIEND (8), LUCAS SCOTT (7) and COLERIDGE JIM (6) came together at the start. COLERIDGE JIM and TAYLA'S FRIEND jostled for some distance along the back straight. Racing into the first bend ARCHIES DIJON became awkwardly placed on the heels of MALCY (3) and shifted outwards forcing COLERIDGE JIM, TAYLA'S FRIEND and LUCAS SCOTT wider on the track. COLERIDGE JIM, TAYLA'S FRIEND and LUCAS SCOTT collided leaving the bend. |
| Race 3 | Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C0 - 520 | GONE ROGUE (7) began awkwardly and was very slow to begin. LIGNITE GIRL (3) shifted outwards approaching the first bend when positioned close to the rear of KNOW LUCK (4). LIGNITE GIRL then became awkwardly placed on the heels of CAWBOURNE KITT (5) and shifted outwards making contact with KNOW JINX (8). UNO MARGUERITE (9) and CAWBOURNE KITT collided rounding the first bend with KNOW JINX also being checked. GONE ROGUE and KNOW LUCK were very hard to catch following the race at the lure. |
| Race 4 | Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C1 - 295 | BELLA GRACE (6) shifted inwards at the start checking MR. NOVEMBER (5) and OUR JOHN (4). BELLA GRACE continued to shift down the track checking FERAL HELEN (2). KNOW FAULT (1) and FERAL HELEN jostled racing towards the first bend. HOMEBUSH NARK (8) and STRUGGLE IS REAL (9) came together at the first bend. HOMEBUSH NARK and OUR JOHN came together in the run home. |
| Race 5 | Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C0 - 520 | SPINE CHILLING (5) was slow to begin. OAK SPUR (3) and KNOW ANSWER (4) bumped at the start. SUSAN JEWEL (2) and KNOW ANSWER came together approaching the first bend with SUSAN JEWEL losing momentum and hampering the trailing OAK SPUR and SPINE CHILLING. KNOW ANSWER checked off the heels of PRIVATE ACTION (7) racing into the first bend. KNOW ANSWER and COLDRUM (6) came together rounding the first bend. COLDRUM checked off the heels of PRIVATE ACTION leaving the final bend. SUSAN JEWEL was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 6 | Angler's Arms Tavern Dash - C1 - 295 | CABARITA (6) shifted inwards at the start checking STAR APACHE (5) and ROCKWOOD ARCHIE (4). CABARITA continued to shift inwards in the early stages forcing STAR APACHE onto CHERRY CRUSHER (2) and OUT BACK BILL (1). Racing into the first bend CHERRY CRUSHER and ROCKWOOD ARCHIE came together. OUT BACK BILL (1) shifted outwards in the early stages of the run home checking HOMEBUSH NAKI (9). When questioned regarding the improved performance of CABARITA, Trainer M Grant explained that the dog had been trialling well prior to tonight's race and had been able to lead after jumping quickly. |
| Race 7 | Ritchies Coachlines Sprint - C1 - 295 | KNOW STRUGGLE (3) began awkwardly. LIL DANNY RASCAL (6) and GOLDSTAR MAGIC (2) came together racing along the back straight. Racing into the first bend KENNY'S COMET (9) shifted outwards off the heels of LIL DANNY RASCAL checking GOLDSTAR MAGIC, JACK'S A JEWEL (5), LIZ WATTO (8) and OHOKA STRIKA (7) with LIZ WATTO losing ground and hampering the trailing TONY'S CHOICE (4). KNOW STRUGGLE was also inconvenienced. KNOW STRUGGLE shifted wider on the track in the early stages of the run home forcing JACK'S A JEWEL and OHOKA STRIKA over extra ground. |
| Race 8 | Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295 | OHOKA JOKA (3), FAIR TRADING (4), MUST DESIRE (5) and BIZARRO (6) came together at the start with FAIR TRADING and MUST DESIRE losing momentum. BIZARRO checked off the heels of OPAWA GOODIE (2) in the early stages. BIZARRO again made contact with the rear of OPAWA GOODIE approaching the first bend resulting in OPAWA GOODIE losing ground. OHOKA JOKA and BLACK SAILS (7) bumped racing into the first bend. MUST DESIRE and BIZARRO came together rounding the bend. OPAWA GOODIE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 9 | Greyhounds As Pets Stakes - C1 - 520 | KNOW DECISION (7) was slow to begin after jumping awkwardly. OPAWA VIV (3) shifted outwards at the start checking TRACEY (4) and OPAWA ROB (5). KIRKHAM JACK (6) shifted inwards in the early stages hampering OPAWA ROB and OPAWA VIV. OPAWA VIV was again hampering racing into the first bend when tightened between TRACEY and OPAWA ROB. KIRKHAM JACK, KNOW DECISION and GENERAL ACTION (8) collided racing into the first bend. GENERAL ACTION was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 10 | C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295 | LOOK AT LUCY (4) and ZIPPORA BLAZE (5) came together at the start. EARN ME SOME (1) was checked by CAWBOURNE ROWAN (2) racing into the first bend and lost ground. |
| Race 11 | Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520 | PUKEKO BOLT (4), OPAWA GAVIN (6) and GOLDSTAR COCO (7) came together at the start. Racing into the first bend TODDY'S A FLYER (5) was contacted and turned inwards by FIORELLI MICHA with both dogs losing ground resulting in the trailing KNOW SMIGGLE (2), PUKEKO BOLT (4), CAWBOURNE KENNY (8), GOLDSTAR COCO (7) and OPAWA GAVIN all being checked. CAWBOURNE KENNY, FIORELLI MICHA, PUKEKO BOLT, TODDY'S A FLYER and OPAWA GAVIN were all examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. Lure driver P Knowles was shown a replay of the race and reminded of his obligations regarding the positioning of the lure ahead of the leading dog. |
| Race 12 | Livamol Dash - C1 - 295 | REPLAY (1) and WIGMORE (6) were slow to begin. HOMEBUSH CORAL (2) was tightened when racing between BUSINESS REVIEW (4) and REPLAY racing into the first bend and lost ground hampering the trailing WIGMORE. TOO MUCH REBEL (8) was awkwardly placed on the heels of SMASH EASY (7) racing into the first bend. SLINGO (10), SMASH EASY and CAWBOURNE KENNY (8) collided rounding the bend. |
