From the jump TIMELY REMINDER shifted ground outwards from the No. 1 box tightening ANOTHER PENNY on his outer. On the turn TIMELY REMINDER was held up for clear racing room by DEBORAH BAY. |
| Race 2 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310 | ANOTHER WAY, BRINDEE'S BRO and APOLLO KING were slow to jump. From the jump WAR CLOAK ran outwards from the No. 3 box checking KENTARO BAXTER. In the run to the turn APOLLO KING ran wide and dictated PEE CEE PLOD very wide on the track, while KENTARO BAXTER shifted ground inwards tightening WAR CLOAK. The trailing ANOTHER WAY was also checked and BRINDEE'S BRO was forced to shift outwards off the heels of KENTARO BAXTER. On the turn ANOTHER WAY ran outwards striking PEE CEE PLOD who become unbalanced and lost ground with the trailing WAR CLOAK clipping the heels of PEE CEE PLOD and both dogs losing all chance to finish well back. |
| Race 3 | Green Island Barber Sprint - C1 - 310 | BIG BEN jumped awkwardly and lost momentum and HOMEBUSH NARK ran inwards from the No. 5 box tightening HOMEBUSH SLINKY. Into the turn HOMEBUSH SLINKY shifted inwards checking FAIR TRADING. On the turn MITCHELL DEAN was forced to check off the heels of BIZARRO and ran outwards severely checking BIG BEN who in turn struck HOMEBUSH SLINKY with both dogs losing all chances. |
| Race 4 | St Kilda Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1 - 545 | From the jump PUKEKO BOLT ran outwards forcing NOGGIN into the path of HOMEBUSH GRU who in turn dictated MOON AND SEA and HOMEBUSH NINJA wide on the track. The trailing KNOW WORTH was also inconvenienced. In the back straight MOON AND SEA ran wide and forced KNOW WORTH wider. |
| Race 5 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C2 - 310 | TOKEN RAY (Lane/Wales) was a late scratching at kennelling by the veterinarian when found to have a sore toe in the right hind leg with a 7 day stand down recommended. At the jump NO MORE BEERSIES ran inwards tightening FANCY KIWI. Into the turn CEC DIVINE shifted outwards checking BAD WEEK, and in the straight BAD WEEK ran wide checking FANCY KIWI. |
| Race 6 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C1 - 310 | OPAWA HOG and THRILLING SHRIMP were slow to jump. Into the turn MONACO DENVER when reaching the front of the field turned his head and marred the running of MEMPHIS GIRL. As MEMPHIS GIRL was marred she ran outwards checking SARAH'S DOMAIN. Following the race Mr M.Hill, the co-trainer of MONACO DENVER, was shown a replay of the race and MONACO DENVER was suspended for 28 days under Rule 79.1.a and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. The greyhound had previously been suspended in 2014 for marring but had subsequently completed 10 clear runs and in accordance with Rule 79.9 that offence was not treated as a prior one for the purposes of this suspension. |
| Race 7 | Speedprint Shop Sprint - C3 - 310 | EYE ADAM was slow to jump. From the jump ANOTHER FORTUNE ran sharply outwards checking WHITEY'S GONE and UMAGA RAMA. Into the turn WHITEY'S GONE shifted downwards tightening OPAWA OPAL. |
| Race 8 | Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C2 - 545 | PUKEKO PROWLER and MEMORY LAPSE were slow to jump. Into the first turn MEMORY LAPSE crossed and tightened PUKEKO PROWLER and then STICH UP shifted outwards off the heels of JEWEL APACHE and forced PUKEKO PROWLER out wide with BLUSHING BELLE pushed even wider on the track. |
| Race 9 | Racing Series Advanced Final - NZRSf - 545 | OPAWA NO EAR and KNOW CLASS were slow to jump. Into the first bend and again into the back straight BOTANY BLAKE shifted ground downwards and checked OPAWA NO EAR. In the back straight BOTANY KEVIN ran wide and dictated KNOW CLASS wide. On the final turn ROBBIE checked off the rear of CAN'T CATCH TIM and lost momentum. |
| Race 10 | St Kilda Veterinary Centre Sprint - C2 - 310 | From the jump CHERRY CRUSHER ran outwards tightening GOLDSTAR BOMBER and then shifted ground downwards checking LOTS OF BEERSIES. On the line THRILLING JAMES faltered and shortened stride looking very uncomfortable in its action. A post race veterinary check revealed an injured right hock with a 14 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 11 | Dunedin Auto Electrical Sprint - C4/5 - 310 | Race start time was delayed 5 minutes at the request of Raceday Control. QUESTION BALE jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. Into the turn CAWBOURNE JELLY ran inwards tightening SPRINKLES and MICKEY TEE. On the bend MICKEY TEE checked off the heels of SOUMILLON. |
| Race 12 | Racing Again Tuesday 2nd June - C4 - 310 | OPAWA DIESEL bounded at the start and lost ground. From the jump GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE shifted ground inwards sharply checking HOMEBUSH PAIGE and ABOUND. In the run to the turn RONROSE HILL was tightened between SAN SEBASTIAN and GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE and became unbalanced striking the running rail and losing all chance. On the turn SAN SEBASTIAN ran outwards and dictated GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE wide who was clipped from behind by SANDI CLAWS. In the home straight GOLD VIPA faltered and went quickly backwards severely checking HOMEBUSH PAIGE and GOLDSTAR CHUMLEE. After the race RONROSE HILL and GOLD VIPA were subject to checks by the veterinarian with RONROSE HILL cleared of injury and a hock injury to GOLD VIPA requiring a 14 day stand down. |
