Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: (1) GLAD'S APOPPING(R8) was declared a late scratching after being found to have diarrhea when being presented for kenneling. (2) REBEL AWAY (A.Turnwald) which was stood down for three-months under Rule 79.1(b) on Monday at Palmerston North, was re-presented today under Rule 79.5 and was found to have an injury necessitating a stand-down of 28 days. Subsequently, the stand-down imposed on Monday was rescinded however REBEL AWAY is still required to complete a satisfactory trial/s before resuming racing. (3) BATTLESHIP collapsed and died following the running of race 13, with a post-mortem to be carried out to confirm the cause of death.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	TIMELY REMINDER went up with the lids at the start, losing ground. CAWBOURNE LEGS was slow away. SEDGEBROOK CHARM and PEAKNUCKLE jostled for a distance in the early stages, with SEDGEBROOK CHARM becoming awkwardly placed near heels when PEAKNUCKLE shifted inwards entering the bend. SMART DANDY raced wide for the majority of the event. SEDGEBROOK CHARM and PEAJAY PRINGLES came together and bumped heavily rounding the bend, with SEDGEBROOK CHARM losing ground. CAWBOURNE LEGS had to check rounding the bend when improving up onto the heels of PEAJAY PRINGLES.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 305	HOMEBUSH ROCCO was slow to begin (3L). CHEAP SHOT MATTY shifted outwards over the early stages hampering JACK ROB which had to check inwards across that runners heels. TULIP MUNCHER angled inwards approaching the bend forcing JACK ROB into the line of PRINCESS NOVAK which was tightened. TULIP MUNCHER continued to shift inwards checking JACK ROB and LADY ROSE shortly after. LILY MA'S SMOKING shifted inwards rounding the bend checking TULIP MUNCHER which came back onto the trailing MIGHTY BA BA, HOMEBUSH ROCCO, JACK ROB and LADY ROSE who were all unable to avoid the heels of TULIP MUNCHER, with MIGHTY BA BA losing several lengths.
Race 3	WWW.RACINGTIPS.CO.NZ C0 - C0 - 305	WATCH THAT GYPSY was last to leave the boxes. FOREVER AUTUMN shifted outwards over the initial stages forcing TAKEAWAY outwards across the heels GOODTIME MONI which was unbalanced. KILIMANJARO shifted outwards approaching the bend placing TAKEAWAY, GOODTIME MONI and DARK WITCH in restricted room. MR.ZAFONIC had to check rounding the bend when becoming awkwardly placed near the heels of FOREVER AUTUMN which shifted outwards. Hampered as a result was the trailing KILIMANJARO which had to check when improving up onto the heels of MR. ZAFONIC.
Race 4	J P PRINT (PETONE) C0 FINAL - C0f - 520	NERO was inclined to shifted inwards over the early stages jostling with SPIRIT RUN for a distance. NERO angled inwards rounding the first bend checking SPIRIT RUN which then shifted outwards abruptly making heavy contact with DARK GARNAH. ANOTHER CRUISE bumped with NERO entering the straight.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	ALLEGRO SENOR went up with the lids at the start, losing several lengths. BRILLIANT JAYLA was buffeted in the early stages when between POPPA CONQUEST and ACONAGUA, both of which shifted ground. POPPA CONQUEST continued to shifted outwards hampering BOX OF FLUFFIES approaching the bend. BOX OF FLUFFIES was forced wider entering the straight when racing to the outside of WORKING MIDNIGHT which shifted outwards abruptly off the heels of POPPA CONQUEST. BOX OF FLUFFIES then contacted the heel of WORKING MIDNIGHT and blundered, coming back onto the trailing BOTANY JOHN. BOX OF FLUFFIES was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and was cleared of injury.
Race 6	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 520	MAKING TIME was slow to begin. NAVAJO BLUE shifted outwards approaching the bend making contact with the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE GABLE. ALL ABOUT ECHO angled inwards entering the bend resulting in tightening to RADIO GOO GOO, MAKING TIME and NAVAJO BLUE, with RADIO GOO GOO becoming unbalanced.
Race 7	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	DENALI shifted outwards abruptly leaving the boxes crowding GANACHE outwards onto BLAZE's CORPORAL, with both runners losing ground. SO UNBELIEVABLE shifted inwards in the initial stages hampering DIAMOND LULU which lost ground and settled near the rear.
Race 8	AON CPF C1 - C1 - 520	PEAKY BLINDER was slow away. RIKKI'S REBEL shifted inwards over the early stages crowding TAIKOREA LASS for a short distance. PEAKY BLINDER angled outwards rounding the first bend making firm contact with TAIKOREA LASS which was unbalanced losing ground. ZAMADDIS LASS ran wide entering the straight covering extra ground.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	DIRK THE JERK and HOMEBUSH BOUNCE were last to leave the boxes however both runners recovered quickly. LAHAR was inclined to shift ground outwards along the back straight pushing OPAWA RABBIT wider on the track. OPAWA RABBIT was then crowded for room entering the bend when between OPPORTUNIST and VINNY DOON, both of which shifted ground.
Race 10	THE DOGZONE C1 - C1 - 520	GOODTIME MIKE was slow away(3L). BENJI shifted inwards sharply over the early stages hampering OPAWA CUDDLES, OPAWA LACHLAN and BOSTON SPIRIT. THRILLING AVA, OPAWA CUDDLES, and OPAWA LACHLAN all raced in restricted room entering the first bend when between BOSTON SPIRIT and CHLOE'S PRODIGY which shifted inwards in an attempt to obtain a position closer to the running line. Shortly after OPAWA LACHLAN shifted outwards abruptly when awkwardly placed near the heels of OPAWA CUDDLES. Rounding the first bend, GOODTIME MIKE improved up onto the heels of OPAWA CUDDLES and CHLOE'S PRODIGY, shifting outwards abruptly and severely hampering OPAWA LACHLAN and THRILLING AVA, with all three runners losing considerable ground.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	BRILLIANT ASHLEE was last to leave the boxes however recovered well along the inner to finish second at the line. FANGIRL was hampered entering the bend when WORKING WORKING shifted inwards. FANGIRL then raced in restricted room when between BRILLIANT ASHLEE and FOUND MY BERRIES, losing ground.
Race 12	KEENAN CONCRETE WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	NEDDY SEAGOON was slow away. WHO YOU was tightened entering the bend when between CAWBOURNE GEORGE and FLIRT WITH ME, with the trailing NEDDY SEAGOON being hampered when unable to avoid the heels WHO YOU. VENGUA GUAPA shifted inwards rounding the bend hampering FLIRT WITH ME which was awkwardly placed near that runners heels.
Race 13	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	CALAMITY SUE shifted inwards through the early stages crowding HOMEBUSH DODGER inwards onto MOMMA RAE. CALAMITY SUE continued to shift ground resulting in FIVE KAY LEG and MOMMA RAE being buffeted for some distance along the back straight. Approaching the bend, KIRIBATI GIRL shifted inwards and bumped with BATTLESHIP which lost it's footing and stumbled, losing ground. BATTLESHIP collapsed and died following the event. BATTLESHIP was examined by the Veterinarian which revealed a suspected abdominal haemorrhage, however a post-mortem is to be carried out to confirm the cause of death.
Race 14	Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	GEM'S CONQUEST and CLEARLY MAGIC were last to leave the boxes. GEM'S CONQUEST shifted outwards off the heels of MISS SARA rounding the bend, resulting in CLEARLY MAGIC and STILL DON'T KNOW being pushed wider on the track.
