| Race 1 | WELCOME SPRINT C3 - C3 - 305 | SHEIK 'EM UP went up with the lids being last away in the early running by several lengths ,he made good ground on the outer across the top bend to finish in to 3rd placing at the line. Racing in to the first bend in midfield HEY YOU angled across pushing HOMEBUSH DAWN in across the face of FASTBACK KING who went back on to HOMEBUSH SARAH this runner ran on to the back of FASTBACK KING pulling him down on his haunches with the dog almost falling VICKI'S QUEST ran in to the back of FASTBACK KING pushing forward . these runners lost all chance there after. FASTBACK KING, VICKI'S QUEST and HOME BUSH SARAH were all referred to the vet for assessment. VICKI'S QUEST and FASTBACK KING were found to have no abnormalities. HOMEBUSH SARAH was found to have torn longhead triceps muscle right fore a 21 day stand down was imposed. FASTBACK KING due to this interference was classed a faller. |
| Race 2 | CESARINA SCOTT-MARSON MEMORIAL C4 - C4 - 305 | Racing in to the first bend BIGTIME DASHER, HANIFY ACE and CAWBOURNE TOMCAT all came together jostling for several strides , STELLAR FORCE angled inwards as she got to the lead hampering ALLEGRO MASTER who went in on to ANOTHER JEWEL both runners lot momentum for a couple of strides, just ahead ARMED FORCES caught the heels of WINE TIME checking this runner out wider HANIFY ACE stumbled for a stride as he caught the heels of CAWBOURNE TOMCAT as this runner came out. WINE TIME after being checked racing on to the top bend lost ground finishing towards the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment a spike wound was found also pain in the mt-p joint left hind a 7 day stand down was imposed. |
| Race 3 | CAPITAL PAVING (PETONE) C2 - C2 - 520 | HOMEBUSH SPOOK was a late scratching at kennelling when found to have pain on flexion of toes left hind. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion OPAWA MESSINI moved outwards to avoid the heels of CAWBOURNE TIP resulting in WALL AGE in behind catching a heel of OPAWA MESSINI and stumbling losing several lengths and was unable improve there after. |
| Race 4 | UPPER HUTT HIRE, NZ Futurity Ht 1 R/A (Gp 1) - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1 | PRETTY CHIC dwelt at the start, In the run in to the bend on the first occasion SWEET RUBYJANE from box 1 received a bump as she came out on to the shoulder of PRETTY CHIC as BOSTON HEART came in SWEET RUBYJANE made contact with the rail and went back to the rear . SWEET RUBYJANE was unable to improve there after finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. |
| Race 5 | PETER CAMPBELL ENGRAVERS C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | In the run in to the bend on the first occasion there was bumping and jostling as MISS SELFIE'S ran across on to the shoulder of OPAWA SHAIDEN, wider out MAGIC EMILY angled across tightening VARGA FROST on to these runners, MISS SELFIE'S was forced back in behind losing momentum, a couple of strides on AIR RAID on the inner was tightened and checked back. Racing on to the first bend MISS SELFIE'S was forced to check off the heels of JIBBAJABBA JEWEL taking CHECK THE MAIL widest around the bend. |
| Race 6 | UPPER HUTT HIRE, NZ Futurity Ht2 R/A (Gp 1) - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2 | Soon after the start CAWBOURNE CROUCH and GOLD CLASS came together, TEE KAY YAPPER on their outer was hampered going back across heels. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion PEACOCK PRINCESS ran in to the shoulder of GOLD CLASS bumping in to CAWBOURNE CROUCH, AEROPLANE RITZY and HE'S A JESSIE in behind these runners on the inner were both checked losing some ground. Racing around the first bend GOLD CLASS raced between runners bumping PEACOCK PRINCESS then forcing her wide as GOLD CLASS ran out to avoid the heels of DYNA VIKKERS, TEE KAY YAPPER was forced to race the widest at this point. |
| Race 7 | Premier Sprint Ht1 C5 - C5q - 305 Heat 1 | From the jump ALLEGRO CLASS ( fav ) wasn't away the best ,he angled out across the heels of WATERBUG to be the widest runner in to the first bend and was forced to race widest when attempting to improve ,ALLEGRO CLASS was able to angle down towards the rail approaching the home turn but was too far back to make much impression finishing with the beaten runners at the line. |
| Race 8 | UPPER HUTT HIRE, NZ Futurity Ht3 R/A (Gp 1) - R/Aq - 520 Heat 3 | In the run to the bend on the first occasion there was tightening and jostling between WEARS THE GOLD ,OPAWA ROSIE,TRUST ISSUES,CAWBOURNE STEVE and SPANISH FANCY, WEARS THE GOLD was galloped on and jostled quite heavily for some distance ,OPAWA ROSIE directly in behind this runners was checked and forced to cross out over the heels of TRUST ISSUES when running in to the back of WEARS THE GOLD. WEARS THE GOLD and TRUST ISSUES lost ground and were unable to get back in to contention there after. WEARS THE GOLD was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have suffered a minor spike wound to the top of the left hind foot no stand down was imposed. |
| Race 9 | Premier Sprint Ht2 C5 - C5q - 305 Heat 2 | In the run in to the first bend SCOTT NO MATES heading towards the rail was checked as SENORITA TINA crossed inwards, SCOTT NO MATES went back on to SPRING MAJOR with this runner galloping on the heels of SCOTT NO MATES ,this runner went back through the field to the rear finishing a margin in last placing at the line . SCOTT NO MATES was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. |
| Race 10 | UPPER HUTT HIRE, NZ Futurity Ht4 R/A (Gp 1) - R/Aq - 520 Heat 4 | From the jump FABIO ran inwards severely as WINSOME JENNY ( fav ) came out resulting in CAWBOURNE BRIGHT and ARCANE SABRE being badly tightened and checked back in behind ,JESSIE SURFS and HOMEBUSH GINGER on their inner were also checked . In the run across the top bend nearing the home straight STYLISH FANCY held a slender lead where FABIO improved to the lead on his inner with WINSOME JENNY improving full of running was tightened for room as STYLISH FANCY started to weaken rolling inwards forcing WINSOME JENNY to check off heels and go down to the rail as SYLISH FANCY rolled in again tightening WINSOME JENNY who was hampered and held up for some distance ,when in the clear WINSOME JENNY ran on well for 4th placing at the line. |
| Race 11 | ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | In the run in to the bend on the first occasion BARRY'S WAY out wider appeared to be uncomfortable in his galloping action and drifted out to the rear and was not comfortable there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have torn a gracilis muscle on the left hind a 28 day stand down was imposed. |
| Race 12 | B & P ENGINEERING (UPPER HUTT) C4 - C4 - 305 | Soon after the jump APPLAUSE ran outwards as HOMEBUSH OLIVE came in squeezing PLENTY OF TIME back from between them. Racing in to the first bend OPAWA SISTER angled inwards on to APPLAUSE forcing this runner in to JINJA COLL turning this runner sideways, POPSOME TAGS from the 8 box raced towards the lead coming in on to OPAWA SISTER tightening these runners further OPAWA SISTER was forced back on to TONGIRIRO and PLENTY OF TIME ,all these runners were hampered for some strides this allowed POPSOME TAGS to get away to a clear lead and was never headed there after . |
