Judicial report: (1) MILLIE'S BOY (R Hamilton) was required "to be boxed first" by Stewards under Rule 72.10 and required to complete a Box Trial under Rule 72.13 before racing again. (2) WAIRIO DEE JAY (BI Conner) completed a Satisfactory Trial without blinkers and in accordance with Rule 68.22 Stewards authorised the removal of the endorsement from the greyhound's papers.

Race 1	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390	MILLIE'S BOY was difficult to box with the handler requiring assistance to load the greyhound and then the dog turned in the boxes prior to the dispatch and took no competitive part in the race. The greyhound was required by Stewards under Rule 72.13 to complete a Box Trial prior to racing next, and was placed by Stewards on the boxed first list under Rule 72.10. At the start CAWBOURNE PIRATE bounded and lost momentum. In the run to the turn AIR EXPRESS ran inwards tightening OPAWA EXPRESS. Into the turn OPAWA LAZ shifted ground outwards off the heels of KINGMAN forcing BIG BEN outwards into the path of OPAWA EXPRESS and dictating AIR EXPRESS wide on the track.
Race 2	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C0 - 457	LA KINKS bounded at the start and lost momentum. From the jump UNO MARQUERITE ran outwards checking WAR CLOAK. In the home straight UNO MARGUERITE ran wide. Into the home straight OPAWA MAHER was bumped by OPAWA LARRY and lost momentum.
Race 3	BRENDON BURKE @ RAY WHITE - C2 - 390	SMOKING MARLEY and NO MORE BEERSIES made contact over the early stages. WRINKLES shifted inwards at the start dictating HOMEBUSH BRUNO inwards. Approaching the bend ALBIE MCLEOD shifted inwards simultaneously as WRINKLES shifted outwards. As a result HOMEBUSH FLYTE, NO MORE BEERSIES, SMOKING MARLEY and OPAWA HOG were all tightened and lost momentum with OPAWA HOG the worst affected runner. OPAWA HOG and ALBIE MCLEOD made contact on the bend with OPAWA HOG checking off the heels of ALBIE MCLEOD. RINGA DING which tired in the home straight was examined by the veterinarian post race with and found to have muscle soreness in the neck and shoulder area with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 4	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C1/2 - 457	GLENN IS GOODESY bounded at the start and lost ground. In the run to the turn BRUISER BALE shifted ground inwards tightening BRISEUR DE REVES with both dogs again bumping into the bend and losing momentum. In the home straight BRISEUR DE REVES ran wide on the track.
Race 5	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C3/4 - 390	Into the turn QUESTION BALE shifted ground inwards tightening SMASH RUMOUR who checked outwards and in turn checked MOJO BURST who lost ground. On the turn OPAWA BART shifted outwards making heavy contact with MOJO BURST who was unbalanced and lost all chance. As OPAWA BART shifted outwards he also clipped the heels of SMASH RUMOUR with this runner also losing all chance.
Race 6	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C3 - 457	INCREASING shifted inwards at the jump crowding HIS LORDSHIP shortly after the start. JINJA LOCH was crowded for some distance in the run to the bend when racing between FLYING AMELIA and EXPECT DELAY. On the bend EXPECT DELAY shifted inwards with resulting checks to JINJA LOCH and FLYING AMELIA which were racing on its inner. HELLO BLONDIE and EXPECT DELAY bumped on several occasions on the bend. Just prior to the home straight OPAWA DIESEL become unbalanced when contact was made with FLYING AMELIA on its inner. JINJA LOCH raced wide in the home straight.
Race 7	The Newton Family Run - C1q - 457 Heat 2	From the jump BUSINESS BOSS ran inwards checking HOMEBUSH CORAL and CAWBOURNE ALPHA shifted ground outwards tightening CALINDA GIRL and GLORY HOG. Into the turn WAIRIO DEE JAY checked off the heels of BUSINESS BOSS momentum.
Race 8	The Newton Family Run - C1q - 457 Heat 1	MEGA VOLT and FANCY KIWI were slow to jump. From the jump SAILORS COLLAR ran wide and HOMEBUSH SLINKY shifted ground inwards checking OPAWA KURU. Into the turn EL SID shifted ground abruptly inwards tightening THRILLING SHRIMP with the trailing OPAWA KURU severely checked and striking the running rail. On the turn EL SID ran outwards off the heels of SAILORS COLLAR and dictated MEGA VOLT wide on the track. In the home straight SAILORS COLLAR ran wide. Following the race OPAWA KURU was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 9	SGRC $25 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C4/5 - 457	At the jump BOUND TO ERUPT bounded and lost momentum. In the run to the turn BOUND TO ERUPT ran inwards checking ELEPHANT GUNN. Into the turn OPAWA TOM shifted ground outwards checking BOUND TO ERUPT.
Race 10	justracing.com.au - C3 - 390	From the jump BOTANY WIN shifted ground sharply inwards from the No. 8 box checking MATTY HOOKY on his inner. In the run to the turn BOTANY WIN continued to run inwards checking CHAIMBO and then into the turn tightened CAWBOURNE DANIAL with resulting checks to OPAWA OPAL and HOMEBUSH ERROL.
