WASTING LIGHT (4) and BOTANY HOLLY (3) were hampered leaving the boxes when YOU BETCHA GUFF (2) shifted out and BAYMAX (5) shifted in with these runners all coming together, BOTANY HOLLY and WASTING LIGHT losing ground as a result. Entering the first turn LADY JANE (8) shifted in slightly with BAYMAX making contact with this runners hindquarters. Rounding the first turn OUT OF TROUBLE (7) became awkwardly placed on the heels of BAYMAX for several strides. |
| Race 2 | Greyhound Function Centre Series Heat 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | BOTANY BEV (4) and YOU BETCHA NODDY (5) came together on several occasions soon after the start with these runners then contacting the hindquarters of WHO YOU (3). Entering the first turn WHO YOU shifted in into the line of BOTANY BEV who became awkwardly placed on this runners heels with both runners becoming badly unbalanced and WHO YOU contacting the running rail with both runners losing considerable ground as a result. Rounding the first turn JETSUN STORM (2) was tightened to the inside of ANOTHER FANTASY (1) having to check and shift out off this runners heels losing momentum and ground. Also hampered losing considerable ground as a result was YOU BETCHA NODDY. A post race veterinary examination of WHO YOU revealed no abnormality. |
| Race 3 | Greyhound Function Centre Series Heat 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 2 | BILL RUSH (6) was slow away. BECOMING PAW (4) shifted in leaving the boxes coming together with DITCHED who was taken in onto POPPA CONQUEST (2). POPPA CONQUEST then shifted out inconveniencing DITCHED, who lost ground, then making contact with BECOMING PAW who was taken out onto BANBIT (5), who was badly unbalanced, shifting out coming together with SKYLER WHITE (7) who was also unbalanced. POPPA CONQUEST continued to make contact with BECOMING PAW for a distance racing down the back straight with POPPA CONQUEST losing ground entering the first turn going back onto BANBIT who was inconvenienced. POPPA CONQUEST then shifted out to race wide for the remainder of the event further inconveniencing BANBIT for several strides. Rounding the bend SKYLER WHITE became awkwardly placed near the running rail losing momentum. Rounding the bend BECOMING PAW (4) became awkwardly placed on the heels of SANDOR GLEGANE (8) having to shift out off this runners heels. Rounding the final bend DITCHED (3) was tightened and inconvenienced, losing ground, when racing to the inside of SKYLER WHITE (7) who shifted in. DITCHED and BANBIT (5) came together in the final straight when racing at the rear of the field. A post race veterinary examination of SKYLER WHITE revealed no abnormality. |
| Race 4 | All Sew Embroidery Sprint - C2 - 318 | BANJO'S RETREAT (6) was slow away. YOU BETCHA JIMMY (8) shifted in soon after the start making contact with WHAT'S UP WATTO (7) who lost ground. YOU BETCHA JIMMY then continued to shift in colliding with HEZA A CARLOS (5) with these runners then jostling for a distance. WAR ON TERROR (4) and CAWBOURNE KIWI (1) made solid contact entering the first turn with CAWBOURNE KIWI losing ground. WHAT'S UP WATTO and YOU BETCHA JIMMY came together rounding the final bend. A Post race veterinary examination of YOU BETCHA JIMMY revealed and injury to the left stopper bone with a 60 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 5 | MTA Gift Vouchers Series Heat 1 - C4q - 318 Heat 1 | COSMIC MACK (6) was slow away. Entering the first turn WHERE'S CARLOS (3) made contact with the hindquarters of ROTOVEGAS RAT (1) who was unbalanced shifting out with WHERE'S CARLOS then contacting this runners heels for a stride going back onto IT'S THE DREAM (5) who was inconvenienced losing ground. |
| Race 6 | MTA Gift Vouchers Series Heat 2 - C4q - 318 Heat 2 | LITTLE RASCAL (4) and ALDONZA (2) came together losing ground racing down the back straight going back onto MANYANA GROPER (3) who got on the heels of LITTLE RASCAL for several strides badly unbalancing this runner with MANYANA GROPER and LITTLE RASCAL losing ground as a result. Rounding the first turn ALDONZA was tightened losing ground. LITTLE RASCAL was referred to the veterinarian with pain detected in the right wrist with a 10 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 7 | DogZone Sprint - C3 - 318 | FESTIVAL MISS (9) and DRURY (6) collided leaving the boxes. Soon after the start NEED TO CHILL (4) shifted out making solid contact with FRENCH CURVES (5) who was unbalanced shifting out making solid contact with SOMEBODY TIFI (8) with both runners unbalanced. FRENCH CURVES then shifted in making contact with DRURY with these runners jostling for a distance shifting in making contact with NEED TO CHILL who made contact with the hindquarters of FANCY MY LUCK (3). FANCY MY LUCK then shifted out coming together with FRENCH CURVES. NEED TO CHILL and DRURY collided entering the first turn with NEED TO CHILL losing ground. Rounding the bend FRENCH CURVES went off stride losing considerable ground to finish some distance from the field. FESTIVAL MISS shifted out to race very wide entering the final straight. A post race veterinary examination of FRENCH CURVES revealed an injury to the right hind toe with a 10 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 8 | Carol's TAB Stakes - C1/2 - 527 | JOE JOE (3) began awkwardly. JOE JOE and MONTANA (5) came together entering the first turn with MONTANA losing ground. Rounding the turn leaving the back straight ZIPPING WILL (2) was placed in restricted room to the inside of UNCLE ROMILLY (1), with these two runners coming together losing ground, ZIPPING WILL then having to steady for several strides inconveniencing MISS VELOCETTE (8) who also had to steady with both runners losing ground. Rounding the final bend MONTANA made contact with the hindquarters of ZIPPING WILL who was unbalanced making contact with MISS VELOCETTE with these three runners unbalanced losing ground. |
| Race 9 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C2 - 318 | YEBOAH (4) and WINSOME GEORGE (8) were last to leave the boxes. ARIZONA SKY (3) and YEBOAH came together soon after the start and were then further inconvenienced when ASTA (2) shifted out and CONTEMPORANEOUS (5) shifted in. Entering the first turn WINSOME GEORGE shifted in making solid contact with MR. DARCI (6) who became unbalanced losing ground. |
| Race 10 | Plasterboard Stakes - C4 - 527 | Soon after the start INDI RHODE (5) shifted in slightly coming together with SACRED CAN YOU (4) who came together with MITIGATOR (3). Racing toward the first turn CARAT'S PRINCE (6) was tightened losing ground when ATOM BOMB (7) angled in. PRETTY CHIC (1) and ZIPPING ORRICK came together entering the first turn. Soon after ATOM BOMB continued to shift in taking SACRED CAN YOU in onto ZIPPING ORRICK with these runners making contact and ZIPPING ORRICK losing ground. Also as a result SACRED CAN YOU was unbalanced shifting out coming together with ATOM BOMB (7) who was unbalanced shifting out making contact with DON DRAPER who was taken wide. CARAT'S PRINCE was examined by the veterinarian following this event which revealed a laceration to the left hind with a 14 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 11 | Lochinvar Marlow Sprint - C5 - 318 | LITTLE DREAMS (6) shifted out soon after the start colliding with LUCKY MAN (7). Racing down the back straight HASHTAG JOSH (2) shifted in getting on the heels of FIREMAN'S LEGACY (1) for a stride. Entering the first turn ROTOVEGAS SPARKY (4) shifted in making solid contact with HASHTAG JOSH becoming unbalanced then shifting out making contact with LITTLE DREAMS (6). Rounding the final bend LOOKS ALL GOOD (5) and ROTOVEGAS SPARKY shifted in tightening HASHTAG JOSH, who was racing to the inside of these runners, who was checked losing ground. HARVEY NICHOLS was referred to the veterinarian following this event which revealed the left gracilis to be torn with a 42 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 12 | Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C1 - 318 | CREME DA GENES (1) and CHARLES FREDERICK (8) were slow away. GEM'S CONQUEST (7) missed the start by several lengths. Racing into the back straight MOCKINGJAY (5) was tightened between JETSUN JINNY (6) and YOU'RE LUCKY (4) for a stride. CREME DA GENES and WHIRLY RALSTON (2) came together and jostled for a distance down the back straight with CREME DA GENES losing ground. Entering the first turn YOU'RE LUCKY shifted in inconveniencing JUST ABOUT READY (9) and WHIRLY RALSTON. GEM'S CONQUEST raced wide throughout. |
